“I like the email tools”

Pros

Right away, the interface feels clean, modern and simple to use. It's also highly customizable which makes it even better. Being able to add plugins and send different email formats is a huge plus. The mail merge feature with placeholders is especially useful since it lets you handle bulk-style emails without needing to pay for a separate email marketing tool. I also really appreciate how simple it is to keep emails organized by subject, topic or even separate personal and business messages using topics.

Cons

Pricing is a little on the expensive side although it becomes much more worthwhile when it's available during a Black Friday sale.

“simple setup”

Pros

Getting Postbox connected with Gmail is very easy and the setup process is quick and uncomplicated.

Cons

I'd really prefer it if the software included backup functionality especially the option to create a .pst file.

“convenient migration”

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is being able to move messages between different email providers without much hassle.

Cons

Con I've run into is that it doesn't blend perfectly with Mac. In Mac Mail, there's an email share option when you double-click a file and I still haven't worked out how to do the same thing with Postbox.

“dependable mailbox automation”

Pros

Automatic mailbox setup works really well and the archiving options are a big plus.

Cons

A few features still act up on macOS Catalina and can be buggy at times.

“quick setup”

Pros

Getting started was quick and the platform is very user-friendly. There are plenty of video tutorials that walk you through different features, including signatures which makes learning it much easier. Setup was fast, it has been reliable from what I've seen and the dropdown option for email threads is especially useful since I handle those constantly, I really appreciate how neatly they stay hidden. It's already saved me time and the fact that it works well on both Mac and Windows is a big plus.

Cons

Really haven't come across any real downsides yet. If anything, it would be nice if creating template signatures were a bit more easy.

“useful shortcuts”

Pros

It's quick, lightweight and packed with useful shortcuts so I can get a lot done without even reaching for a mouse or trackpad. The pricing feels fair too.

Cons

Will still prefer a more modern-looking interface and it would be better if there were an option to display only specific folders.

“Multi-inbox setup that just works”

Pros

Having multiple inboxes in one email client works really well and setting up HTML email signatures is very easy too.

Cons

I don't really make much use of the mail folder organization although that's more down to how I use it than an issue with the software itself.

“Powerful search”

Pros

Quite easy to use i must say... and the shortcuts make it really convenient to use day to day. I can move emails to any folder across any account very quickly and the search works exceptionally well thanks to macOS indexing.

Cons

The only thing I'd want added is an option to disable the "On My Mac" account.

“Easy across every inbox”

Pros

We've been trying to find an email client that's simple to install, set up and actually depend on, this one ended up checking every box for me. I use multiple hosts, including iPage, Hostmonster, Gmail and Mac Mail and it works well with all of them. Also, the team keeps improving it over time. Few things are more annoying than an email client that fails at basic tasks or takes forever before it finally works properly and Postbox has not been that way for me. I started using it early on and even though there were a handful of issues at the beginning, it has continued to improve steadily.

Cons

There were some minor issues in the early days but the latest version has been very stable.

“mac-style multi-account inbox”

Pros

After installing Catalina and dealing with the high CPU problem, I started looking for a better desktop email client. It has been a good fit because it lets me view multiple accounts in a way that feels very similar to Mac Mail.

Cons

I'd rather pay once for a permanent license instead of being charged every year. The folder subscription feature is also a bit confusing to understand.

“Perfect!”

Pros

Clean, easy and it even works properly with Windows scaling, plus there are enough customization options to get the look you want. Out of all the mail clients I've tried, this is easily my favorite by a long way.

Cons

One thing that only got better recently was account setup. It now picks up all of my email settings when I add accounts but before that I had to complete them manually which took a lot of time since I manage a lot of accounts.

“fast search that keeps delivering”

Pros

Right from the start, the speed and simplicity made this stand out. The search engine is excellent and that has been the biggest reason I've kept using it for such a long time.

Cons

There's still room for more features and overall improvements. Thunderbird plugin compatibility has been and still is limited, it doesn't support Microsoft OAuth and the calendar implementation could be much better.

“affordable and easy to use”

Pros

From the get go, this software has worked out extremely well for me. Setting it up was very easy, getting around the platform is simple and the interface looks clean and enjoyable to work in. Also, the pricing is very affordable. I'm genuinely very happy with it.

Cons

Really I haven't come across anything to complain about.

“feature-packed email powerhouse”

Pros

There are tons of features packed into it.. so many, in fact, that their follow-up emails explaining everything are actually helpful.

Cons

It no longer supports SpamSieve or plugins which is disappointing. Also, it doesn't use the native dark mode in macOS. The built-in themes are decent but I was really hoping for proper native dark mode support.

“one of the best”

Pros

Working on both Mac and PC, I really appreciate having an app that feels the same on each platform. The biggest advantage of PostBox for me is how quickly, simply and efficiently it lets me file messages especially since that was my biggest frustration with Airmail. It's also nice to see the product being updated and improved on a regular basis.

Cons

Not much to complain about. My only real wish is that they still supported plugins like MailHub which added a useful level of predictive filing. While there are workarounds for some plugins, such as Todoist, there still isn't any way to use a plugin for predictive filing.

“Good upgrade for us”

Pros

Everything feels quick and dependable and it offers far more features than Apple's standard Mail app. It simply works flawlessly.

Cons

I haven't run into any real downsides yet. If I have to mention one, it's that the app isn't free.

“multiple accounts without hassle”

Pros

Having several email accounts in one place has been really convenient and getting everything set up was quick and easy. I can view all of them at once without any trouble. Performance has also been excellent. After using Outlook for years, it started consuming too much memory but with Postbox I haven't run into any of those issues.

Cons

Nothing to complain about at this point. I've been using it for about six months and have had absolutely zero problems so far. The only addition I'd like is a bit more flexibility to customize the themes and colors.

“smart inboxes and helpful support”

Pros

It covers the main things I need in an email app and the support team has been excellent. It handles multiple inboxes really well with both unified and shared views which makes staying on top of email much easier and it also includes several built-in automation tools.

Cons

The one thing I keep requesting is Grammarly integration. That's the missing piece that would make me completely satisfied with it.
