“Tracks our costs
Pros
I use this program to keep tabs on our costs through purchase orders and change orders. We also use it for rough scheduling and the daily reports let clients clearly see what work is happening on the jobsite each day.
Cons
We've been hit by a new pricing model they rolled out that almost doubled what we pay for the program. It's disappointing because now we're forced to evaluate other software options that offer many of the same features we relied on.

“can handle a lot of tasks
Pros
As a user, I've found it can handle a huge range of tasks and features making it really handy during home construction. I can upload every selection, customize each task, add photos and track the schedule and action items. The platform supports many different functions so it keeps multiple projects organized and prevents things from getting mixed up. Overall it does a lot to help me manage and keep all jobs running smoothly.
Cons
What I find difficult is that updating items eats up a lot of time. Since selections are constantly changing while I'm building, having to adjust them by hand is very tedious and ends up taking far longer than I'd prefer.

“More suited for residential work
Pros
I really like the software's interface and the way the workflow is organized. I find it simple enough for a typical user to get around.
Cons
It lacks the comprehensive feature set required for commercial construction projects. It feels more inclined toward residential work.

“No downsides at all

I like how I can pull up every job and see a few complete details when needed.

“Incredible interface for builders and clients
Pros
It offers a standout, user-friendly user interface for both builders and their clients and I find it pretty simple to pick up.
Cons
I noticed a slight learning curve specifically around the estimating features of the software but after I get it set up and running, I find maintaining it becomes quite simple.

“Buildertrend became our backbone
Pros
Our builder uses this software to handle communication and keep the project moving forward. It has been very user-friendly and has really helped me, the builder and the subcontractors stay on the same page throughout the process.
Cons
The overall rollout is well designed and fairly user-friendly but it does require real commitment if I want to fully integrate Buildertrend into the business. That part takes time, effort and consistency. I'd say this is the kind of software that gives back far more than what I put into it but only if I'm willing to invest in setting it up properly and making it part of the way we work.

“Looks good until you buy
Pros
From what I could see, a few of the basic features seemed acceptable and on the surface the platform appeared promising. Still, I was never really able to test how the software actually performs without first paying for the trial so my impression stayed limited to what was shown upfront rather than real hands-on use.
Cons
The problems showed up in critical areas like accounting, scheduling and everyday job management. I also found essential tasks, such as submitting variations from a phone, to be poorly handled which made the software feel unreliable for day-to-day operations.

“Packed with builder-friendly tools
Pros
There are so many things I appreciate about it. I can keep up with To Dos that sync directly with my calendar, save templates for repeat tasks and quickly check budgets or allowances whenever I need them. I'm also able to create and monitor change orders, add selection choices and leave comments or track communication on specific features. If I have a question about a spec or a selection, I can comment right on that exact item which helps me keep every conversation organized and tied to the right detail. It has made a big difference for the small GC/builder I work with and has really improved how we stay on top of projects.
Cons
I honestly do not have much to complain about. From my side as a residential designer, it would be nice if I could create room schedules inside the platform but I also understand that this software is built for construction management rather than for design work specifically.

“Fantastic scheduling for construction
Pros
What I like most about it is how user-friendly it feels in day-to-day use. I've found the construction scheduling feature especially impressive because it helps me stay organized and keep projects moving the way I need them to.
Cons
The only real downside is that it takes a little time to fully get up to speed. Once I spent some time learning how everything works though, I was able to get much more value out of it.

“Advantages far outweigh the setup time
Pros
For our business, the advantages of using this program far outweigh the time it took me to get everything set up to match our contracting workflow. Once I had it configured, I found that it really helped me maintain a highly professional standard in the way we operate and present our work.
Cons
What stands out to me is that it pushes me to follow the organizational steps I should already be doing anyway if I want to stay fully on top of everything.

“versatile features
Pros
I've found the features to be really versatile and there are a lot of different ways to use the platform depending on what our team needs. It gives me plenty of options to work with and I can already see how it will help us become more efficient with our customers as we keep using it.
Cons
the biggest downside is that there's definitely a learning curve. With so many options available, I've had to spend time watching the training videos to understand how everything works. It offers a lot but because there is so much built in, I feel like it takes a while to learn properly.

“Unlimited projects and clever tracking
Pros
What I like most is that it feels a lot like Co Construct but in my experience it gives me unlimited projects which is a big advantage. I've also found a useful workaround for tracking equipment on site by using the daily log feature and that has been genuinely helpful for keeping things organized.
Cons
My biggest issue is the pricing. From what I've seen, its main competitor, Co Construct, offers many of the same features at a much lower cost so I definitely feel the price here is on the higher side.

“customers love the organized workflow
Pros
It simplifies a big part of the way we work and that has really helped improve how our business runs overall. What stands out most to me is how well it keeps our communication with customers organized and from my experience, they genuinely appreciate that.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is the ability to print a change order with the customer's name on it and a signature line included, without having to send it through email first.

“flexible setup customers love
Pros
What I like most about it is how well it can be tailored to fit my business instead of forcing me into a rigid process. Customers also pick it up pretty quickly so I do not have to spend a ton of time walking them through how to use it.
Cons
My main issue is that the estimating side took me a while to understand. I found that part a bit challenging at first and it definitely came with more of a learning curve than I expected.

“Love the project visibility
Pros
Honestly my company depends on Co-Construct every single day to keep operations moving. Our team clocks in through the system and that time is tied back to each project so I can clearly see where we stand against budgeted hours. I'm also able to lay out the scope of work in detail using specs and selections which helps keep everyone aligned. On top of that, communication with our team, clients and trade partners is all documented in one place so nothing gets missed or buried. What I hear from clients all the time is that they find it very user-friendly and that has genuinely become a selling point for us. Estimating works really well for me and then I can move over to the budget sheet to track profitability as the job progresses. The scheduling tools are also a big part of why I value it so much especially since tasks can be assigned to team members or trade partners and everyone can stay on top of timelines. I also appreciate that clients can see that activity happening in real time which is incredibly important. Another thing I love is having all photos and files stored in one place, even down to specific selections and specs. Best of all, the overview page gives both me and my clients a quick snapshot of exactly where the project stands.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is a WIP report, because I feel that would give me a much clearer picture of where a project stands financially compared with the schedule.

“builder-focused platform that covers it all
Pros
From the moment I started using it, I could tell this platform was designed by someone who truly understands how builders work. What stands out to me most is how thoroughly it brings everything together in one place, from lead capture and estimating to specs, bid tracking, proposals, financial syncing, scheduling, task management and employee time tracking. I've found that it does an impressive job of connecting our team with trade partners and clients as well so all communication and project details flow through one organized system instead of being scattered everywhere. Another thing I really appreciate is the support from the CoConstruct team. In my experience their response time has been outstanding and I've often gotten help within the same hour when submitting a ticket. To me, that level of support adds a lot of real value and makes the software even more worthwhile.
Cons
The only real downside is that the software currently offers more functionality than we've fully taken advantage of so far although I actually see that as room for growth moving forward. Whenever I've had questions or run into concerns, their support team has been very quick to respond with helpful answers. On top of that, I've been impressed that some of the suggestions we shared for improvements were actually considered and implemented which makes me feel like user feedback genuinely matters.

“Accessible scheduling for every team
Pros
I've had a really positive experience with the scheduling tools in Buildertrend. What stands out most to me is how accessible the schedules are, whether I'm in the office or someone on our team is out in the field. We like that everyone can check updates and stay on the same page without having to chase down information and that has made coordination a lot better for us.
Cons
What really frustrated me was finding out that a few months earlier, the company had sent an email saying our monthly software price would increase unless we responded a certain way. Our bill ended up going up by $200 per month without any direct approval from us, simply because that email was missed. When I reached out, my rep was polite and understanding which I appreciated but it became clear pretty fast that the extra amount we had already paid was basically gone. Although they did return our bill to the original rate, the whole situation left a bad impression on me. Because of that, we're now taking a serious look at other options.

“Awesome visibility into our build
Pros
We're in the middle of building a house and our builder has been using this software with us throughout the process. From my side as the customer, it has been awesome. I've been able to stay in touch with the project team in one place and keep a close eye on how the build is progressing. What I really love is having lifetime access to all the photos especially things like the wiring and HVAC, because I know that will be incredibly valuable to me down the road.
Cons
From my experience as an end user, having to go through and sign with a mouse for what feels like a hundred different selections gets pretty tedious and inconvenient.

“Helpful for keeping everyone aligned
Pros
Our builder uses this software to handle communication and keep the project moving forward. It has been very user-friendly and has really helped me, the builder and the subcontractors stay on the same page throughout the process.
Cons
I honestly don't have much to complain about with the software itself. That said it feels like it could be used more consistently between the builder and the subcontractors when it comes to tracking progress in more detail.

“All-in-one tool!!
Pros
What I like most is that I can handle billing, CRM, contracts, the time clock and a lot more all in one place. For me it really covers just about everything I need to keep the business running without jumping between a bunch of different systems.
Cons
At times, I do feel a little overwhelmed because there are so many features and options available. While I appreciate having all those tools in one platform, it can sometimes take me a bit longer to find exactly what I need.
