“Cloud access clients appreciate
Pros
What I like most about it is that it's cloud-based so I can get into the system from pretty much anywhere without being tied to one computer. That flexibility has been really useful for the way I work. I also appreciate that my clients can log in and access what they need which helps keep communication more open and the project information more transparent.
Cons
I'm not able to download all of the documents along with the full folder structure at the end of a job. For me that makes project closeout more tedious than it should be especially when I want to keep everything organized exactly as it was in the system.

“Frustrating setup delays
Pros
I do like being able to use the plans in it and for scheduling it has worked well for me so far.
Cons
What has really been frustrating for me is how difficult the setup has been. We were told everything would be ready within 24 hours but we are still trying to get it fully set up which has been a disappointing experience.

“All project details in one place
Pros
Having all the information for a project organized in a single place is a plus. That centralization helps me keep track of details much better and makes the whole job feel more manageable.
Cons
One challenge I've run into is figuring out how to make Buildertrend fit the way we already work. In my case, it took some time to understand how to adapt the platform to our process instead of expecting it to match our workflow right away.

“Improved communication
Pros
I can send one message to our entire team and everyone gets notified right away about results, needed changes and other important updates. That has made communication much more efficient for me and helps keep everyone on the same page without extra follow-up.
Cons
At times, I find it confusing to know whether a comment in the daily logs was actually saved because the same dialog box still appears after I save it. That can make me second-guess if my update went through.
