“Contractor Foreman the solution to all of our project management woes!
Pros
It's truly a challenge to narrow down the standout features of Contractor Foreman since almost every module surpasses standalone applications we previously relied on. The comprehensive project management capabilities of CF have elevated our business to new levels of accuracy and efficiency. From estimating to invoicing all the integrated modules work seamlessly together providing us with a clear picture of our time and financial resources. Our ability to track key metrics and analyze project data has significantly improved giving us a competitive edge. CF has become an invaluable tool in our quest for profitability and success.
Cons
There are a few minor areas where improvement could be made but nothing significant. We transitioned from a platform that focused on service tickets and had limited project management capabilities so we've had to adapt to using Service Tickets in CF.

“Don't do free trial. They took $1000 from me because I didn't cancel correctly
Pros
Contractor Foreman offers a robust and detailed system although navigating multiple screens can be challenging.
Cons
The free trial felt like a scam. It wasn't clear how to end the trial and we received an overwhelming number of 40 emails in the first month. Are we supposed to read all of them?

“Best Bang For Your BUCK with ALL the customization of the compeditors
Pros
Contractor Foreman outshines BuilderTrend as the ultimate software for construction management. Its user-friendly interface comprehensive project management capabilities exceptional mobile app collaborative communication features powerful dashboard and reliable reporting functionality make it the undisputed leader in the industry. If you're seeking to streamline your construction management workflow and propel your business to new heights I wholeheartedly endorse Contractor Foreman. It has revolutionized my business operations and will undoubtedly do the same for yours. The software offers remarkable flexibility and a wide range of built-in features that make it incredibly easy to use. After using SalesForce and Buildertrend discovering Contractor Foreman was a game-changer for us. It resolved numerous challenges and the icing on the cake is its competitive pricing. With all the essential functionality and customizable options that suit our business needs switching to Contractor Foreman was a logical decision and we couldn't be happier with the results.
Cons
The setup process can be time-consuming requiring trial and error to configure everything properly. Unfortunately there is a lack of comprehensive support or established best practices for integrating the modules. CF's support options are limited and often slow to respond. While they offer basic and advanced weekly training sessions a limited number of one-on-one sessions as well as chat and email support users are primarily left to their own devices when setting up the system effectively. The integration with QuickBooks Online is remarkable but the third-party setup company Smart Business Solutions could benefit from more experience in their field. Their approach relies heavily on trial and error rather than demonstrating expertise in addressing specific user challenges. Support mainly relies on email communication without screen sharing and the weekly training calls tend to cover generic topics instead of individual issues. While there are excellent instructional videos available they may not address the specific intricacies of your business practices.

“Great program!
Pros
The high level of customization and user-friendliness of Contractor Foreman is impressive.
Cons
The learning curve may be steep for those less familiar with software programs. I have some concerns about integrating certain crew members into this system. Its high level of customization means it will take some time to determine the best placement for specific elements.

“Poor training
Pros
All the features offered by Contractor Foreman are great if you know how to use them effectively.
Cons
The most challenging part was actually getting started with the product. The only positive and productive aspect of the process was the QuickBooks integration. My CF trainer was unhelpful and unresponsive. They managed to waste my only four hours of free training.

“Holding my work data hostage
Pros
Unfortunately that's why I stopped using it.
Cons
The company refuses to provide me with job data stored in the app unless I pay them. Their customer service is terrible and the app is buggy consistently attempting to open itself. Housecall Pro is superior and more affordable.

“Awesome Software
Pros
One of the most important features we were looking for in job management software was a client portal. Contractor Foreman exceeded our expectations in this regard providing a single space for notes and collaboration with clients which they absolutely love.
Cons
It would be great to have the ability to adjust the font size within the program such as in menus etc.

“Plenty of functionality in one place
Pros
We now appreciate the all-in-one flexibility of Contractor Foreman for project management including estimating scheduling work orders purchase orders and financial tracking.
Cons
We lack a dedicated account manager with whom we can discuss best practices. They offer group sessions for overviews but require booking sessions for specific inquiries. As we don't always interact with the same person there's a lack of continuity.

“Easy to Use Inexpensive Construction Management Tool.
Pros
I greatly appreciate the user-friendly nature of Contractor Foreman software. The availability of excellent training options ensures a smooth and quick setup process. What sets it apart is the reasonable pricing structure without any upfront fees for setup. The estimating tool alone makes it a worthwhile investment.
Cons
In general the software is user-friendly. The only challenge lies in understanding which parts to utilize at specific times.

“Very Good Software for Small Businesses
Pros
Contractor Foreman offers a centralized location for project management invoicing tracking and time tracking streamlining operations.
Cons
Personally I require a program that allows me to import purchase orders directly rather than from an estimate. When dealing with over 300 line items importing is much more convenient than manually entering each item. Additionally it would be beneficial if the purchase orders automatically updated quantities as they are received eliminating the need for my field employees to enter the information into a daily log.

“Hopeful for product but overall disappointed.
Pros
The project's numerous features are highly beneficial.
Cons
The training provided focused on individual modules rather than demonstrating how they all work together. Unfortunately the customer support experience has been extremely poor with delayed responses to tickets submitted in February only being received at the end of March. The support team seemed dismissive and often failed to fully comprehend the issues I raised. We encountered problems with the QuickBooks Online integration where progress invoices were syncing over at full value instead of the designated percentage. Although this issue has been resolved a new problem has emerged where the values change once they are synced to QuickBooks Online. Additionally when converting work orders into invoices certain fields did not populate correctly resulting in a significant amount of manual data entry. As a workaround we modified our workflow to avoid using those particular fields so I have not verified if the issue has been fixed.

“It Great!
Pros
Contractor Foreman is incredibly user-friendly. A single training session can have you up and running by the end of the day and field personnel can easily learn the app on their own.
Cons
One drawback is the limitation in billing project bills as Time and Materials (T/M) with markup. To make a bill billable it had to be entered as an expense. Contractor Foreman is only compatible with QuickBooks as other accounting software options cannot accommodate payroll deductions for union employees.

“Do not trust what you're told
Pros
While Contractor Foreman has many features it may be more suited for larger companies.
Cons
Regarding training and canceling the trial despite canceling the company refused to honor it and charged me based on a technicality. It is important to thoroughly read the fine print!

Pros
Contractor Foreman has been immensely helpful in managing multiple jobs and controlling budgets in the building inspection business. I began using it based on a recommendation and haven't looked back since.
