Real-time approvals that deliver

Pros

It is simple to use yet it still covers all the features my business needs. Our clients really appreciate being able to approve estimates and change orders in real time and we appreciate not losing time sitting around waiting for responses.

Cons

The inventory system could use some improvements especially a category for items we regularly keep in stock. What's there now isn't bad but in our type of work, where we ship materials out to job sites, having a bit more detail would make a big difference.

solid project management features

Pros

It covers most of what we need to run our remodeling projects, from creating estimates to managing customers, office staff and field crews.

Cons

The interface and a few modules still need some work. It would also help if users had more control over the automations, with additional options for what happens and when.

Clear estimates and better workflow

Pros

Compared with QuickBooks, it has been a much better fit for how we handle estimating, invoices and change orders. One thing our clients really value is the ability to see estimates broken out by line item with detailed descriptions so they clearly understand the scope of work and the cost tied to each part of the project.

Cons

we can't upload our contract directly and send it out for signature. In California, having a contract signed, initialed, dated and properly completed is extremely important so we still have to rely on another software to take care of that part.

fantastic value and reporting

Pros

Getting started with the app takes almost no effort. It offers excellent value for the price, is very simple to learn and the daily reports and vehicle reporting features are especially useful.

Cons

Honestly there have been very few downsides. The app does run into occasional bugs but when you contact customer support by email, they usually resolve them within 24 hours.

Handy tool for site logs

Pros

Running this as a site manager has been really helpful. It makes it simple to save photos, keep daily logs updated and send information up to my superiors without much hassle.

Cons

At times, it felt a little slow and there were a few glitches especially around the time cards. Some of the wording also came across as very American.

vlients love the portal

Pros

Our clients really appreciate the detailed estimates and the client portal has been a big advantage. The support team has also been superb, chat gets you connected with a real person very quickly.

Cons

There are still a handful of features we'd love to have added but the value you get is hard to beat. At this price point, it feels like a perfect fit for small to mid-sized companies.

All-in-one job management win

Pros

Found it simple to get the hang of. Having everything together in one place saves me a lot of time and makes keeping track of jobs much more organized.

Cons

There really isn't much for me to complain about. It does what I need it to do and hasn't caused any major problems.

good value

Pros

It is a budget-friendly all-in-one platform that covers pretty much everything needed. It offers a ton of functionality and the product keeps getting updated and improved over time.

Cons

At times some of the modules felt a little limited in their options compared with certain competitors that cost a lot more.

convenient for contractors

Pros

Compared with platforms like Procore, Buildertrend and JobTread, we went with Contractor Foreman because it delivers a complete set of construction management features, estimating, scheduling, job costing, safety and reporting, without the high price tag. It's user-friendly, budget-friendly and a strong fit for small to mid-sized contractors. Instead of paying more for systems that feel overly complicated, we got solid ROI, quick onboarding and regular product updates that continue to match the way our business operates.

Cons

One area that hasn't worked as well is communication with trades around RFQs which felt more effective in some other programs. The way documents, files and photos are displayed could also be improved because staying organized can be challenging. A thumbnail view would make it much easier to tell files apart and manage everything visually.

Responsive support and solid value

Pros

It feels like a strong value for the price and the customer support team is quick to respond whenever needed. There are also plenty of training videos available which makes learning the system much easier.

Cons

The QuickBooks Desktop integration wasn't something we liked very much. Since moving over to QuickBooks Online, though, it has been working a lot better.

Connected features

Pros

It has been a really good value, with helpful customer support and steady improvements over time. I also appreciated how well the different functions in CF are integrated which makes the platform feel more connected.

Cons

It was frustrating not to have a dedicated tool for storing drawings. When updates were needed, the process could be a little slow for the team to get everything working properly.

solid value

Pros

This program has been a really valuable addition to our business. The wide range of modules and features lets us use CF in a lot of different ways across both the office and the field. The interface feels user-friendly and doesn't take long to learn. When we looked at other options, we couldn't find anything that delivered this much value at such a relatively low price. We've been using the platform for 3 years now and are very happy with it overall.

Cons

No software is going to be a perfect fit for every business but this one covers most of what we need at a fraction of the cost. That said if you run a service business, it's not especially strong in that area. There is a service module and it does the job but it's definitely not the best option available.

Time tracking and quickbooks sync

Pros

Time tracking, service tickets and project management are all really simple to use. It's also a big plus that the software integrates well with QuickBooks.

Cons

At times, my employees run into trouble when trying to clock in. It was simpler before when I was the one managing the passwords.

Affordable AIA billing win

Pros

Being able to create AIA billings at such an affordable price is a big plus and getting up to speed with it didn't take long at all.

Cons

There were a few hiccups with document uploads although that may have been caused by something outside of Contractor Foreman itself.

features that deliver

Pros

Right away, it felt packed with useful tools all in one place, estimates, schedules, daily logs, timecards, change orders and plenty more. The Service Tickets and Work Orders features have been particularly helpful for keeping tabs on smaller jobs and urgent service requests. I also really appreciate how much you can customize especially with things like estimate cover sheets and invoice templates. The way the modules connect with each other saves a lot of time too since entering something once carries it through the rest of the system. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable compared with a lot of other platforms out there.

Cons

Getting started does take some time because there are so many features to learn. Certain parts of the interface feel a little dated and the navigation can be slightly awkward now and then. Some of the more advanced settings are also tucked pretty far into the menus so finding specific customization options can be frustrating unless you already know your way around the platform.

Construction-focused and feature-packed

Pros

Its simple to use. It comes with a wide range of features and is built specifically for construction projects which makes it very practical for this type of work. On top of that, the customer support is excellent and really stands out.

Cons

Multicurrency support is missing and that's a big deal for companies that operate with both local currency and the dollar. The scheduling menu also feels like it still needs some improvement.

All-in-one project control

Pros

Keeping construction jobs organized and on track has been much easier with this software. It's been really helpful for handling daily logs, staying on top of budgets and communicating with the crew from one place instead of bouncing between different apps. The layout is clear, the tools cover most of what I need on a daily basis and it saves me a lot of time. Overall it's a dependable option for managing construction projects efficiently.

Cons

The mobile app could run better and I'd also like to see more flexibility when it comes to customizing reports.

project management win

Pros

Having everything in one platform is amazing. It's user-friendly and works well whether I'm in the office or out on a job site. The mobile app is convenient, the reports can be tailored to what I need and the support team responds quickly which makes project management feel much more organized and efficient.

Cons

A few parts do take some time to learn so there's definitely a bit of a learning curve with certain features. Getting everything set up at the beginning can feel a little overwhelming especially for someone new to the system and there are a few tools I wish offered more customization for specific workflows.

Powerful modules for contractors

Pros

It comes with a broad range of modules built for the contracting industry and it does a solid job of tracking job information while keeping field crews updated with the details they need.

Cons

The app still falls short when there's no internet connection and a few modules could use a bit more refinement. We'd also prefer media syncing to work both ways instead of being limited to one-way sync.

organized estimating that delivers

Pros

Juggling several projects at once has been much more manageable with this tool especially because of how well it handles organization and estimating. Everything from schedules and documents to daily logs is kept in one central place and that alone cuts down a lot of the time I'd normally spend sorting things manually. The estimating feature is where it really shines for me, it lets me put together fast, accurate bids with customizable fields and real-time cost tracking which is a big help when trying to stay competitive and protect margins. The interface could use a few small improvements for bigger crews but with the affordable pricing and mobile access, it's still a strong option. I'd recommend it to contractors who want a more efficient way to run jobs.

Cons

It does a lot well with project organization and estimating but there are some frustrating limitations. The biggest issue is that once an initial estimate gets approved, any additional estimates have to be submitted as change orders even in situations where a change order doesn't really make sense. That setup interrupts the workflow and creates extra paperwork for routine adjustments or added scope that doesn't actually change the original contract terms. It makes projects less flexible, slows down how quickly things can be updated and can also leave clients confused when they were expecting a simpler revision process. That lack of flexibility feels unnecessarily restrictive and even with the platform's strengths, it could be a real headache for contractors working on fast-moving, constantly changing jobsites.
