“Great Construction Management Software

Pros

I like the ability to be able to run a budget for projects and be able to apply sub contractor invoices against the budget. For "TRUE" construction management we act like a consultant and the client pays direct for everything. Another major PLUS for Contractor Foreman is that they have the ability for TAXES.

Cons

I wish some of the features would be able to be added quicker. One is the client portal. Another is the ability to truly create your own reports in Contractor Foreman. You can create your own reports, but they are a little constrained.

Pros

I like that I could track all the times of all the jobs and projects that we have running simultaneously. I like that everything is in the same place and I have to go searching through a huge amount of different apps to accomplish the goal that they have achieved, hear it and contractor foreman. I also like that when it comes to updating, they are seemingly inside my head on what I would want changed or improved. It is a real world application that helps our company survive and thrive.

Cons

The only thing that I would change is more flexibility in the scheduling application. Id like to see something more day today instead of a week out and being able to send it out without sending out the whole week the way that our company works we do a schedule every single night, because we have a lot of moving parts and no subs were kind of a diamond in the rough in the industry and we have lots of projects running at once.

I enjoy the budgeting financial side of it since I am in the accounting department.

Cons

The fact that once you get out of job it takes you completely out and you need to go through the same steps all over again.

“A lot of tools in a small space

Pros

The software has all the critical features I needed without paying a base fee then paying additional for upgrades. Everything from schedules, budgets, and tracking all easily to get to. I also love the ability to import from excel documents easily. Works great with Microsoft Project when importing schedules developed by others.

Cons

There was and continues to be a learning curve. The customer service and the video tutorials have been a great help. Ive also received phone call backs for clarity in areas I didnt quite understand.

Software is cloud based so the browser and app versions are always synched.

Not as customizable as some other CRM softwares.

We run our whole business on contractor foreman almost every feature we need is there.

Being said "almost every feature" id still like to see some features thats going to help in our business but Contractor foreman has their forms where you can submit features and very often there is a update and more and more features are being added.

We liked that it is a single software performing all our construction management and time tracking on one platform.

Some of the time tracking rounds up daily hours and it creates overtime hours and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to not have it do that.???

Pros

The daily reports along with time cards are critical for tracking the job progress and status. In addition we rely heavily on the photos for updates. We also get a lot of use out of the PO feature as we use these on a daily basis.

Cons

Managing, moving and sharing the photos is the most challenging.

The interface is very straightforward, and I find the app to be very easy-to-use on jobsites.

It was slightly intimidating at first, but once I found my way around it was fine.

There are some glitches and some parts of the software are more complicated than they need to be.

The Gantt chart style of scheduling is integrated perfectly. Ive cut the time I spend managing schedules in half since I started using CF. Thats just one example that is specific to myself. On a broader level I would say the best feature is the ease of use. My entire organization adopted the software with minimal issues whether the users were tech savvy or not. The foreman enjoy having daily logs to reference.

Cons

The one thing I would like to see change is the ability to use a dark mode feature. I tend to do work late at night and having this option would be great for my eyesight. A very minimal concern but this is my only gripe!

Pros

It is straightforward to use and has all the elements I require to track a project from when a sales lead is generated to its completion. In addition, I like how it ties information together from one module to the next as necessary and gives the customer a choice in how the data is delivered.

Cons

I would say there should be an option to switch between modules, like a sidebar. You have to come out of a module to enter another one, which takes a lot of time.

There are tons of features for a decent price.

I would love to be able to set up an automated feed from Zoho CRM which we use currently to manage our customers and track leads. Perhaps we can replace Zoho CRM with Contractor Foreman eventually, still figuring out if that is feasible.

The software was very easy to use and implement. The tracking from bidding to project is easy to use. The built-in safety documents are awesome. The analytics provided are extremely helpful.

Cons

Nothing at all. The cost was extremely fair and is well worth the money spent! The cost for the software was about 10% of the cost we were spending on Procore.

Pros

Contractor Foreman is logically organized, easily customizable, and very powerful for the price. If your company is self-motivated, Contractor Foreman and efficiently organize your project management processes.

Cons

As with any software, Contractor Foreman doesnt fit all construction companies. We are definitely pushing the limits of each feature and still have to code many fields in order to expand CFs capabilities to match our needs.

“Changed the Game

Pros

This software is very robust and offers all of the things that the bigger named software does at a fraction of the cost. As a small company, Contractor Foreman allows us the opportunity to be able to afford a program like this. Love it!

Cons

There are some small details that I feel are missing like notes not transferring from one level to the next, customization in formatting work orders is limited, financial info not extremely detailed, etc.

I have been going through so many free trials and CF is the one i was looking for. Made the purchase right away! Creating professional templates has helped me win many leads.

I have to deal with so many receipts I wish there was an option to scan them and the software would automatically populate an online database.

It is the most complete construction management software especially if you consider the price. The staff at Contractor Foreman has been fantastic to deal with.

UI is a bit hard to navigate and template graphics cannot be customized for invoices for example.
