“So far a nice experience as a new user
Pros
I like that the software has replaced several individual programs that I used to use and now we’ve got everything in one place, which makes things way easier.
Cons
Customizing the software took me a while, as it involved a lot of internal testing and a staggered roll out to users.

“CMiC
Pros
CMiC has made key contributions to our organization by providing a powerful and scalable infrastructure that promotes collaboration, stores all our data and documents in one central location and offers excellent reporting capabilities for data analysis. It has greatly improved our companys ability to collaborate and share information, eliminating the need for tedious searching through files or making multiple calls. The reports generated by CMiC play a crucial role in our decision making and overall success. My tip for success is to thoroughly review and understand the settings for each module to enhance the CMiC experience. Do not guess the settings; consider recording the training sessions with your CMiC implementation team for future reference. Feel free to ask questions and join CMUG, the CMiC users group as they provide valuable forums, monthly calls, demos and assistance.
Cons
The implementation process can be lengthy. The distribution and segregation of software settings across multiple locations make system management and issue troubleshooting a bit challenging. Having a central control panel would greatly enhance user friendliness.

“Accounting and Operations in one
Pros
The software seemed to have a lot of useful features that could be interconnected but it was quite intricate.
Cons
It seems to complicate simple tasks by interlinking them all. Sometimes it would be easier if RFIs and Submittals were separate.

“Good for cost tracking - needs update to become more modern
Pros
It excels in tracking costs and managing documents.
Cons
There are several details that create an unnecessary learning curve. An update is needed to improve user friendliness.

“Personally not a fan, although functionality is there.
Pros
Despite the lacking UI/UX, the software's core functionality is present.
Cons
From an end users perspective the UI/UX is lacking. However CMiC has been working closely with us to customize the experience and tailor it to our specific needs.

“Kind of a Utilitarian Dinosaur
Pros
CMiC offers an extensive range of features allowing you to consolidate multiple tools and functions into one platform which is convenient for accessing everything in a single location.
Cons
Compared to other innovative software CMiC doesn't seem to be evolving to keep up. It can feel clunky and more utilitarian than innovative and user friendly.

“Helpful
Pros
Textura is easy to navigate and there are numerous customizable functions available for billing and construction management.
Cons
The system operates slowly and after a certain period we experience even slower performance. Some functions stop working and require assistance from CMiC's technical team which can sometimes take a while to resolve.

“Not Time-Friendly
Pros
There is not much I like about this program but if I had to choose something I would say I appreciate the ease of rearranging lists based on factors like chronology, company, specifications etc
Cons
Loading large pages takes up a huge amount of time. If I need to find something specific in a lengthy list, scrolling and loading each page can be time consuming unless I have relevant keywords.

“Great for project teams
Pros
CMiC encompasses a vast array of tools within the software. The ability for project teams to collaborate simultaneously enhances the user experience especially when multiple subcontractors and project team members need to access the same documents.
Cons
CMiC is an excellent tool but i's a fairly robust software. As a new user, I had to invest a considerable amount of time to learn all the intricacies of the software and become proficient in using it.

“Clunky, but gets the job done!
Pros
It offers a great selection of options for cost and document management.
Cons
It can be a bit clunky and outdated. The software could benefit from clearer wording, and there should be a way to transfer files or data between different projects.

“Not for the average user. It may get the job done but the method in getting it done can be a challenge
Pros
The fact that the program is cloud based is a significant advantage as it allows access from anywhere with reliable Internet connectivity.
Cons
The menus feel overcrowded and not very intuitive. The support staff should be better trained and familiar with the product they are assisting with.

“Outdated interface
Pros
CMiC can be your all in one solution for construction management. It can integrate all aspects of a project into a single program, offering convenience and the reports can be interconnected to share input and information.
Cons
Like most software for collecting and sorting mass data the user interface could use some improvement. Searching for items and generating reports can be cumbersome and not always intuitive. One issue is the limited customization options for reports. I found it easier to export the raw data to Excel and create my own reports and sorting functions to meet the analysis needs of my managers.

“A system that functions
Pros
It combines project management, accounting and other elements into one platform with a single login. Thats basically it.
Cons
The system is extremely slow to the point where you can hear the clock ticking as the loading circle rotates. It is hard to follow and inconsistent in its terminology. The owner billing module is painfully slow and lacks basic filtering or shortcut features. The list of issues could go on and on.

“FRUSTRATING!!!!
Pros
Its a robust system with powerful features and capabilities, but it requires a significant investment.
Cons
The implementation leadership is terrible. Its an expensive system that requires more resources than the company claims. Consulting and in house resources are needed in abundance. The base products information output is useless and requires external resources and training to build useful information tools for running your business. Getting a response from the implementation team is a challenge and the company lacks quality assurance for its product, leaving you to perform quality assurance on their behalf.

“Good to have
Pros
My construction company uses this software to organize our information. I do not use it all the time. It is mainly for our field employees. But when I do use it it is user friendly.
Cons
I am not sure if its our servers but CMiC frequently slows down or crashes at least once a week.

“CMiC Review
Pros
The softwares best feature is the ability to work on accounting, data entry, uploads and processing and then seamlessly transition to a workflow where upper management can approve invoices before processing payments. It's like having two sets of eyes reviewing your work. We also have a project side where each project manager can monitor and stay updated on their projects.
Cons
The software still has numerous glitches.

“CMIC review
Pros
At least all your documents are stored in one searchable place.
Cons
The interface feels like its from 1985 making it confusing to save and upload daily reports and prints. It often crashes and prevents progress, occasionally deleting files. Even when documents are sent and create a trail, there have been instances where they never reach their destination.

“The only good ERP is your last one, and your next one - CMiC does an OK job
Pros
It handles many of our companys financial and documentation needs and it has the potential to cover others as well.
Cons
The interface is very outdated and difficult to use especially on mobile browsers. It requires constant maintenance, patching and testing. Integrating it with other systems can be expensive.

“Tricky Customization
Pros
I love that we were able to replace 3 to 4 different software programs with just one (CMiC). Most of our companys departments are now integrated into this software allowing for smoother information sharing. Its a powerful software that can be customized to fit our companys specific requirements.
Cons
Customization was a lengthy process and we are still encountering issues as we roll it out to our employees.
