Has everything we need

Pros

I really appreciate having PM data available in real time. It makes monitoring projects much more simple. The ADF platform is a strong piece of technology that lets me customize the system to suit our workflows. Being able to import and export data with Excel is very helpful and I wish that functionality was available on nearly every screen. The Log Builder is also a handy tool. Altogether, it covers everything we need like payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project management and more.

Cons

It works well for me.

Pros

Signing in was not an issue for me at all. It was quick and hassle-free right from the start. No confusing steps or extra verification hoops to jump through.

No training required

Pros

I was able to pick up and learn the software without any formal training and felt comfortable using it almost immediately.

Helpful invoice data-entry module

Pros

I've found the invoice data-entry module really helpful, whether I'm working with registered invoices or vouchers. It's pretty foolproof which I appreciate. The vendor detail reports are essential for tracking and I love that I can pull them in whatever format I need.

stores data in a single place

Pros

As a user, I appreciate that all of my project data can be kept in a single system instead of having to spread it across multiple different platforms.

user-friendly nature

Pros

Customizable solution

Pros

I find the system to be well-integrated and dependable with numerous checks and balances. I also like that there's scope for personalization which prevents it from feeling overly restrictive.

Cons

Well I am frustrated by the legacy Oracle stack and heavy dependence on Java. I really hope we move toward ADF and a stronger mobile focus soon.

Powerful reporting

Pros

CMiC lets me record as much detail as I need and then produces excellent reporting. What I particularly like is being able to upload documents into CMiC and link them directly to the relevant records.

Cons

So far I haven't experienced any issues.

eliminates many typical errors

Pros

Once I've entered the information I find it significantly easier to create and handle documents. I genuinely feel this software can eliminate many of the errors that typically occur in certain processes.

Cons

However I'm not convinced the workflow is user-friendly without referring to a written guide. I found the steps hard to follow otherwise.

Web-based app

Pros

It is a web-based application that runs on a standard Oracle database backend and I can see a future option to extend access to external contractors as well.

Cons

Setting up the environment has meant provisioning at least eight servers so far and I'm expecting to bring more online as we prepare for load balancing and possibly establishing a DMZ to allow outside access.

Useful daily reports

Pros

I find the RFI feature, weekly meetings and daily reports really useful for keeping projects on track.

Cons

I do find the pop up windows disruptive sometimes.
