“Cumbersome
Pros
I appreciate that it's free and, in theory, quite simple to use.
Cons
The snap function works poorly for me; dimensioning doesn't work, and errors pop up no matter what I try to do.

“Review
Pros
Some of the advantages are that it supports the creation of 3D parametric components, which is crucial for designing complex objects and assemblies; it's accessible on various platforms; and it's designed to be modular and extensible.
Cons
Some drawbacks: there's a learning curve, especially for those new to parametric 3D modeling. The interface might not be as intuitive for beginners, and some users have experienced stability issues like occasional crashes. Additionally, certain workbenches in FreeCAD may not be as actively developed or feature-rich as others.

“free program that allows you to do great things
Pros
The free license is a major strength of the program. With that in mind, everything is available at no cost. It also performs well, and I can create interesting projects with it.
Cons
It doesn't compare to high-end programs; on a professional level, it's not yet usable for me.

“FreeCad - Great hobbiest cad with a caveat
Pros
I use FreeCAD to design high-power rockets and teach it to STEAM club students at our local library. It provides great exposure to parametric 3D modeling, and with addons, it's a simple way to develop rocket components like nosecones and fin-cans.
Cons
FreeCAD has a major bug that needs fixing before I can fully recommend it: the notorious "topological naming problem." This isn't unique to FreeCAD; most parametric modelers face this issue. Essentially, when I add, remove, or slice parts of a model with other extruded sketches, all the surfaces get renamed. This changes the attachment point for new sketches, so an extrusion might unexpectedly come out from the side instead of the top. The development team is working on this, but as an open-source project mainly driven by volunteers, progress is slow. However, development has picked up recently. Once resolved, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for anyone needing a parametric 3D modeler.

“Very convenient open source CAD
Pros
The software interface is simple and quite straightforward. It's very handy for quick CAD design, with a quick learning curve. It's a free and powerful tool.
Cons
It's clear this software is inferior to more advanced paid options, but it does the job. The graphs are simple and not of high quality, so it might not be the best for complex projects.

“High potential with lots of space to improve
Pros
FreeCAD, as the name implies, is free, and among the free alternatives currently available, it stands out for its many functionalities, which is a significant advantage. The combination of parametric CAD and FEM analysis is fantastic.
Cons
It's really complex to use, not very intuitive, and the documentation is often unhelpful. I've encountered bugs with basic features, making modeling even simple parts quite exhausting.

“Is freecad an alternative to AutoCad
Pros
This software is free, and you can do nearly everything in it that you can do in AutoCAD. There's a supportive community and plenty of tutorials available.
Cons
Since it's not an industry standard, I'll need to adapt to other software over time. For professional work, switching to different software will be necessary.

“I switched to freecad and I found it good enough for my work project
Pros
The 3D design and modeling are quite exciting. FreeCAD is easy to use and integrates well.
Cons
They use different (but similar) names for their 3D commands than I'm used to, but I understood them right away. They all work fine.

“Best free multiplatform CAD
Pros
Coming from paid Windows software, this was the first Linux alternative I tried. Getting used to the tool layout was not difficult. It has great simulation tools and a workflow similar to other CAD programs.
Cons
Nothing to complain about; it's a very capable software that I use.

“Free CAD for 3D printing
Pros
I really enjoy using FreeCAD. It's an excellent piece of software that allows me to create detailed 3D models with precision and ease. Being open-source means it's constantly updated and improved by a dedicated user community.
Cons
One thing I dislike about FreeCAD is its occasional slowness. When working with large models or assemblies, it can be slow to respond to my commands, which is frustrating. The rendering can also be slow, making real-time visualization difficult. Additionally, I've encountered some bugs, like occasional crashes, which can be disruptive even though they're not frequent.

“Good free tool, but not at the level of the bests. Ideal for small companies and simple project
Pros
This software is great for 3D design. It's free, and there's a fantastic community that offers support and numerous tutorials on YouTube. As a contributor to other free and open software like KiCad, having a 3D design tool like FreeCAD is awesome. It also has many integrated tools for both 3D and 2D designs, model reviewing, file importing, and mesh conversions like STL to solid.
Cons
FreeCAD has some bugs and its functionality isn't always intuitive. From my perspective, the bugs are the biggest issue. For instance, third-party components sometimes fail to import properly, possibly due to design issues, but I've encountered this several times, suggesting a bug or incompatibility. Mesh-to-solid conversion can sometimes fail, and when designing 3D parts with features like chamfers or edge roundings, changing earlier steps that affect the number of faces can break the part. It's important to be aware of this bug and perform these features in the final steps of part design.

“Freecad, 3d drawing for beginners.
Pros
I like the simplicity of its workshop parts. Known shapes make it easy to create new ones.
Cons
The bugs are what I hate the most about this software, as they usually force me to start the design from scratch.
