ServiceTitan is King

Pros

I appreciate that ST can be expanded according to my needs. It's constantly evolving with new add-ons for an already top-tier software. I think many companies aren't even scratching the surface of what ST can offer, which is a mistake. Investing in this software can really help scale your business.

Cons

Prices keep rising, but that's pretty standard for tech.

Took the jump and never looked back!

Pros

Reporting simplifies KPIs significantly. It's highly adaptable, and I'm always discovering new ways to use the software. It also promotes proper workflow among techs.

Cons

The cost is quite high, so you need to make full use of the software. I'd like to see more features for office accounts and additional tracking and KPIs for office staff.

Mostly Intuitive, but support is always there to help

Pros

The Titan Advisor and its support system are fantastic. Titan Advisor is AI-driven and helps me understand what features are available based on how I use the program. They don't reveal all features upfront, but as I identify what I need for my business, my CSM team assists with activating features and answering questions. There's always someone available to help me when I have questions.

Cons

The mobile app occasionally has glitches. Most of the time it works well, but when it does act up, it can be really frustrating for technicians out in the field. We end up deleting and reinstalling the app more often than I'd prefer to keep it up to date. I know they're working on updating the app to include offline functions for when we're in areas with poor internet. We're looking forward to these improvements. They're always open to feedback and working to make it smoother.

Great Tool for a Service Organization

Pros

ServiceTitan delivers a comprehensive, top-notch package. I benefit from this tool every day.

Cons

Great software overall

Pros

The built-in training from the knowledge base and academy is incredibly helpful for onboarding new employees. I also appreciate the release notifications that highlight new features, the Blue Collar Nerd and his helpful videos, and the community that supports idea promotion and implementation. The online Facebook communities connect me with others who have similar job responsibilities. And of course, Pantheon :)

Cons

It takes a while for ideas to become new features. The system sometimes crashes randomly, and there's often a delay in communication about when the functionality will be restored. The certified admin course feels like reading a dictionary for a spelling test. Some features aren't where you expect them to be, and there are "hidden" settings that can have a big impact.

My Service Titan experience over the last 21 months.

Pros

What I like most about ServiceTitan is the ability to access job history, including notes and pictures. I also find it useful to access the technician performance data, such as billable efficiency.

Cons

One difficulty with using ServiceTitan is the initial learning curve and then managing all the seemingly endless features smoothly.

ST all around.

Pros

I LIKE the visibility ST provides; I can easily track my technician whether they are driving or working at a customer's home.

Cons

The support really needs improvement. I can count maybe three times when support resolved an issue. Most other times, it had to be escalated to more senior staff. I'm still waiting for a resolution from a case opened on 1/30/24!

Automating The Service Industry

Pros

We love how ServiceTitan helps automate our insulation, heating, and cooling company. It streamlines many jobs and helps us avoid missing out on potential revenue.

Cons

The training and implementation could be better. We also don't like being handed off from one CST to another. We prefer having one point of contact, not a line of them.

Pros

I value the ability to customize many fields. I also enjoy the Knowledge Base and community, which show me what others in my industry are doing.

Cons

Customer support is a bit lacking. We keep changing CSMs, which isn't ideal, but other than that, it's okay.

Overly expensive

Pros

The dispatch grid is pretty handy. Setting appointments from the call screen is very easy.

Cons

Everything else, really. Service location setup was hard. It didn't transfer well to QuickBooks. The payment processing feature was disliked by customers, and it took too long for deposits to be received. Frequent changes to the field app caused issues for our technicians. The numerous modules were great for options, but it was difficult to use them all effectively for a company our size.

A Powerful Tool, and You'll Pay for It

Pros

As a cloud-based software designed for trades businesses, I really appreciate ServiceTitan's all-encompassing solution, seamless integration, and industry support. It has truly transformed how I manage operations and enhance customer experiences.

Cons

It's an expensive solution with a steep learning curve. Reporting is okay, but finding trends is tough. Once you're set up, you'll want extra features, which ServiceTitan is happy to provide, but at a high additional cost.
