“cant use without training”
Pros
It's fairly easy to use overall and it feels a lot more manageable than the previous email client I tried. I still think I'd benefit from some training to get comfortable with a few of the features.
Cons
I often end up getting confused with the template options and how to set things up the way I want.

“Easy campaign building”
Pros
Not difficult to use and it includes the features I need to run and grow my business. The simplicity really helps me stay productive and get campaigns up without a lot of friction.
Cons
If anything, I'd love to see more campaign design options especially templates or styles that are more eye catching.

“awesome automation and support”
Pros
Tech support feels second to none and the overall user friendly interface. The automation tools are fantastic too. Setting up automations and campaigns takes very little time and the process stays pretty easy. On top of that the platform includes solid templates that fit the goals of my campaigns which helps me get started faster and keep everything organized.
Cons
Two small downsides: the reporting is quite basic at first so if you need more advanced reporting you'll likely have to upgrade. Also, pricing goes up as the number of contacts increases and I personally think the cost should stay consistent regardless of contact count.

“great time saving tool”
Pros
I was using Mailchimp and I'm still using it for another business but a colleague suggested this. After getting started, I've become pretty comfortable with it and it's been a great time saver.
Cons
Adding images directly into the email text isn't as simple as it could be.

“clean interface”
Pros
Really enjoying that the emails aren't branded so recipients see messages that look professional and feel like they're coming from my company not from a generic tool. The unsubscribe button is also super convenient for clients which means I'm not coming across as pushy. Another helpful touch is being able to see who has unsubscribed so I can remove them from my Christmas card list right away.
Cons
One annoyance is that I have to reload all my social media links for every single email and that gets old fast. It's a bit of a hassle. I'd also love to get a free 20 minute coaching session with a team member to confirm I'm setting things up correctly and make sure I'm using this to its fullest, including any time saving features and practical tips customized to my account.

“Reliable email automation”
Pros
The whole automated setup for emails and campaigns just works. I originally joined because a supposed "free" option wasn't updating with new subscribers when they opted in for my free download. I chose this specifically because I can't afford to let even a single subscriber slip through and that's exactly what it delivers. I genuinely trust it and I'm confident I'll be able to add more features as my business grows.
Cons
Automation configuration can feel a bit complicated and the contacts page isn't the easiest to navigate.

“annoying reporting gaps”
Pros
I mainly use it for email automation and the setup doesnt take much effort while still giving you a lot of flexibility to build different workflows.
Cons
Getting reports working was so frustrating that I eventually stopped using that part altogether. Also, the custom reports don't include reply metrics which is a dealbreaker for tracking responses.

“Practical feature set”
Pros
Everything about this software has genuinely won me over. The company has made a huge leap over the last few years and the feature set is both solid and practical. On top of that the platform is simple to navigate and the Help Center articles and videos are really good. I actually looked at switching years back when I was still using Infusionsoft but it felt like I would still need to build out too many pieces. Now it feels like ActiveCampaign is clearly ahead of Infusionsoft and their customer support is noticeably better too so using it day to day is way more enjoyable.
Cons
Costs can creep up a bit for smaller businesses if you're mainly relying on it for email marketing. If you want the best value, it helps to use the extra capabilities to automate more of your workflow so you're getting a stronger return on your spend.

“customizable workflows”
Pros
The automation features are genuinely excellent and I like how simple it feels to either create my own automations or use existing ones and customize them to match how our team works.
Cons
The email syncing could be improved and I also wish task notifications were less distracting for other employees.

“broad use CRM”
Pros
This CRM feels really comprehensive and flexible enough for a wide range of businesses. Since I run a home inspection company, it goes beyond what's strictly needed for my specific industry and I can see how that makes it a better fit for service style businesses in general rather than ones focused on tangible products. That said, the automation features are genuinely impressive and can be a big help for a lot of different workflows.
Cons
It isn't particularly designed for my exact line of work and I honestly end up needing someone dedicated to manage the ActiveCampaign membership and keep the content up to date.

“strong automation”
Pros
Automation, a pretty simple setup solid CRM features and good integration options were the big wins for me. It's been convenient to connect different tools and keep the workflows moving without a lot of manual effort.
Cons
Pricing starts feeling steep as you move into higher tiers and there are also extra charges for adding features like Conversations. There's also some performance lag that stands out, plus certain basic integrations only work after upgrading your plan.

Pros

“easy to manage contact lists”
Pros
Lets you stay creative while working with your contacts especially thanks to the ability to organize everything using lists.

“There are better options out there”
Pros
I switched over to AC mainly because it offered more data and insights than my previous platform, FloDesk. At this stage, I'm still early enough that I haven't been able to pull meaningful value from all the data yet so I can't fully judge how useful it will be long term.
Cons
Using AC has been frustrating. There's a huge learning curve and it often feels like my Virtual Assistant and I are constantly troubleshooting. The email builder doesn't look great and it's pretty hard to design emails the way I want them to appear. We're currently using the basic plan which is priced similarly to other tools but it honestly feels like we're getting less for the money. For example, FloDesk gave me really nice landing page capabilities, while AC hasn't matched that at all. I understand I could upgrade but the next tier pricing is dramatically higher than competitors and it's hard to justify when I'm not thrilled with what we have right now. On top of that the person who onboarded us kept texting me daily to remind me to sign up and pay then, once we finally reached out with questions after she wasn't available, things got messy. It also looks like she might not even be with the company anymore.

“good support resources”
Pros
Connects smoothly with the apps and platforms I rely on to manage my small business. The on site tutorials, plus being able to reach their support staff when needed, keeps everything feeling simple and well organized. I've actually recommended this over a couple of more "fancy" websites because it's genuinely easy to use and integrates well with what I already have running.
Cons
I'd like more flexibility for adding fun fonts and colors in my emails though it's not a deal breaker.

Pros

“Affordable email marketing tool”
Pros
Having a relatively inexpensive way to start building my email list is a big win here. It also means I don't have to switch to a totally different email marketing platform as I grow which feels better than several other free or low cost options I looked at.
Cons
The setup and navigation are complicated. I eventually worked out what I needed to do but getting there took more trial and effort than I expected.
