“powerful, automated and reliable!
Pros
I love how this tool uses automation to do the heavy work for us, for example it automatically creates a personalized experience for each customer, makes our marketing plans easier to manage and sends the right emails to the right people all by itself.
Cons
The user interface feels a bit old and is not the most user friendly but I cannot complain because it consistently delivers on my sales and marketing requirements.

Pros
For managing leads and marketing automation, Marketo Engage is far more powerful and feature-rich than any other tool I have tried.

Just a heads-up, you have to be ready for a challenge. Companies get the best results from Marketo when they have a skilled Marketing Ops person to set it up and build the specific workflows they need.

Pros
It is really effective for running engagement campaigns across social media, email and our site. Also the platform is quick and our team learned how to use it rapidly.

“Smarter email campaigns
Pros
Marketo Engage lets us create much smarter email campaigns that run on their own, saving us a lot of manual work. Its best features automatically figure out who our best potential customers are and group them together making sure our small team sends the right message to the right people at exactly the right time.
Cons
It is not the easiest platform for someone just starting out. As getting the smart campaigns and integrations running took me much longer than I expected and you almost need a technical background or special training to really leverage its full power.

Pros
It is perfect for my job in the pharmaceutical industry because it helps us follow all the strict advertising rules. “overly complex platform
Pros
The automated email system is really powerful for staying in touch with potential customers. If you keep your customer list well-organized, the system can automatically sort people into groups and send them the right messages at the right time which saves a lot of work.
Cons
When something goes wrong with the platform, you practically need an expert-level certification to diagnose the issue. Also the overall usability and built-in guidance are seriously lacking. This is the reason almost every client has to employ a full-time specialist to manage it. You either have years of hands-on knowledge or you will be investing a huge amount of time learning the ropes.

“Excellent for visual content
Pros
For our design team, it's a powerful tool for creating beautiful, targeted email campaigns. It integrates smoothly with our design software, includes robust automation and provides clear performance analytics, which is perfect for producing high-impact visual content.
Cons
The flip side is that its marketing-centric nature can be overwhelming for designers. Managing complex workflows, data, and technical integrations often pulls us away from pure design work. “Costs too much for small teams
Pros
What I find most impressive are the marketing automation tools , they've done a fantastic job helping me nurture leads and keeping prospects engaged at every stage of the sales funnel.
Cons
the biggest issue has been the price , it's quite expensive and can put real strain on smaller companies like mine that have tight budgets and limited resources. Beyond the cost, the platform's huge feature set while impressive, often feels like too much, when I first started I got overwhelmed sorting through all the options and trying to figure things out. From my experience, it's also worth admitting there isn't a perfect marketing automation solution , each platform has its own strengths and trade-offs, so the best choice really depends on what your specific business needs. In short I find it powerful but pricey and a bit complex.

“Solid Marketing Tool
Pros
i have been able to heavily tweak campaigns and scale them by KPIs which has proved extremely useful. Being able to see user journeys across the campaign flows is amazing , it gives real clarity about how folks engage with our content. I'd certainly tell others to try this platform.
Cons
I find the analytics less granular than I'd prefer and pulling real-time metrics can be painfully slow. I'm hoping Adobe addresses these shortcomings because improving them would significantly change how effectively we can operate and get value from the platform.

“best for big companies
Pros
It handles complicated marketing automation setups & it keeps everything under control even when running enterprise-level campaigns. I've noticed it excels at tailoring customer journeys through sophisticated segmentation, dynamic content and flexible lead-nurturing tools. Plus, its connectivity with CRMs and other MarTech systems makes data transfer feel easy which is essential for coordinating across channels. The reporting and analytics are very comprehensive too, delivering rich, actionable insights about campaign performance that let me tweak and improve strategies in real time, constantly.
Cons
It did take me a fair bit of patience to get comfortable with the interface, especially at the beginning. My recommendation is to tap into the Adobe Marketo community for guidance and to connect with nearby User Group leaders if urgent questions pop up , there really is a lot of support available once you learn where to search.

“Powerful but hard to learn
Pros
There's a lot I like about the automation capabilities , they're extremely powerful. Creating customized, multi-channel marketing campaigns without a lot of issue is what I appreciate most. It syncs well with CRM platforms and the granular analytics it gives me allow better targeting and smarter decision-making, which in turn has raised our lead generation and conversion metrics noticeably.
Cons
Getting up to speed was tougher than I expected , its quite hard to use and it took me far longer than I thought to become comfortable moving around the system. “Custom journeys but sometimes slow
Pros
I'm really impressed by the suite of marketing automation features , they let me build highly tailored campaigns and follow customer journeys with a lot of precision. In my workflow, the tight integration with other Adobe tools significantly expands what I can do and it makes systems talk to each other much more smoothly than I'd expected which speeds up campaign coordination and boosts overall functionality.
Cons
I do find the interface overwhelming at first , it takes a while to learn where everything lives and how the pieces fit together. Pros
very interactive platform is to move around which made getting started much less daunting. The email marketing tools are clear and easy to use. Building landing pages turned out to be unexpectedly simple , I can assemble polished, professional pages without a lot of effort. The collaboration features across the network are strong and let our team work together smoothly. Lead management does a good job of tracking prospects as they move through the sales funnel. Because the social marketing tools are built in, I don't have to hop between different services. Campaign management keeps everything organized and running and the CRM sync works reliably without data issues.
Cons
Although the price is quite high for what you actually get, I also find dealing with support to be annoying when problems pop up. Cons
When I first tried to find information about it I found almost no advertising which made it difficult to discover. Pros
Honestly the interface looks very dated and I feel like it hasn't gotten any real updates in ages. Trying to manage files is a issue and the whole account management workflow feels awkward and clunky to use. This really needs a major visual and usability refresh.
Cons
the automation tools nowhere near as adaptable as what you get from competitors like HubSpot. Working with reports is awkward and inefficient and every time I link it to systems like Salesforce or ZoomInfo the system slows down noticeably. Pros
I've relied on this marketing operations platform day in and day out and honestly it's the most advanced tool I've come across. Cons
It takes ages to create reports because I have to build each report from scratch for every single program.
