Good Experience
Pros

Once I grasped the learning curve, navigating through the system became a breeze.

Cons

My only issue is that customer service can be hard to reach and doesn't seem to help much.

Excellent, responsive customer service
Pros

Customer service has always been responsive and helpful. The range of services and capabilities is quite extensive.

Cons

The interface feels clunky and takes a bit of time to master. I wish there were more design capabilities, as the email design feature makes it hard to create quick and simple emails.

thedatabank is very near perfect for a medium-sized non-profit.
Pros

Even though the software is primarily geared toward advocacy organizations and we are an arts organization, it adapts to our needs. It excels in email campaigns, newsletters, and donor management. The credit card and PayPal interfaces are seamless. Customer and tech support are outstanding.

Cons

There are a few minor aspects I would prefer to be more customizable. For example, the Meetings and Events module is really geared toward meetings. I think having a richer suite of reports would be nice.

Happy with The Databank
Pros

The Databank offers excellent customer support and is easy to use.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve for its various tools (though that's probably true of most similar systems).

Great product, awesome customer service
Pros

They provide the best customer service in every aspect of the business, from tech support to billing. I feel like I know the folks at The Databank. They respond quickly, often within the hour, and the company is very responsive to user feedback to improve the service. Many ideas appear in upgrades, and they constantly work to enhance the product.

Cons

The report builder is somewhat clunky, and it's not always easy to delve deeply into the data without exporting to Excel. It's not a major hurdle, though, and I think all CRMs have some sort of reporting deficiency.

Consistently meets our needs, the best!
Pros

The Databank is integral to our work. They have taken the time to understand our organization, mission, and operations. As a grassroots organization, this is important because they can better meet our needs. We use it for fundraising, membership, advocacy, mass communication, general information tracking, voter engagement, meetings, event registration, and more. One thing we love about The Databank is that it evolves with us. As a grassroots organization, tracking the progress and development of our members is crucial. This was relatively easy for staff who interacted with members daily, but accuracy was never certain. During a planning retreat, we realized we needed a leadership continuum and benchmarks to ensure we were developing well-rounded, highly skilled leaders, and we needed a way to track it. Reaching out to customer support can be daunting, but not with The Databank. I filled out a support request, and they scheduled a call to discuss the details. This was extremely helpful because the rep asked questions that provided insight into how our staff would interact with the table to ensure it met our needs. Our new table was fully operational within a few days of our call. This new table allows us to better track the development of our leaders and assess our work's impact. The benefits are endless. We now have accurate, real-time information about our members, which we've never had before. This information is incredibly helpful for writing grant reports. Funders love to know the impact of our work, and this new table enables us to report those numbers.

Cons

I like everything about the Databank and their products.

I use it to manage membership and development functions for WI Lakes.
Pros

It is pretty simple to understand. I was able to start working on it quickly without much training.

Cons

The search functions are clunky and not intuitive. I don't like that I can't add queried lists to campaigns. If I can, I haven't had any luck figuring it out, which is telling, as I have 5-10 years of experience working with and managing fundraising databases.

User-friendly platform and extremely friendly support!
Pros

As a small nonprofit with limited resources and staff, I like that the software is simple and adaptable to our specific needs. The support staff at The Databank is very easy to work with, and they respond quickly when we have questions or need updates to our database. I especially like the recent changes that make the user interface more visually appealing for us and our clients.

Cons

Nothing significant. Any question or issue I've ever had has been resolved.

The Databank
Pros

I like the familiarity of the product. We also receive personal follow-ups from The Databank staff.

Cons

Because it's a smaller CRM, the Databank isn't supported by certain third-party advocacy tools (e.g. Change.org).

Helping us do Non-profit advocacy for 10 years!
Pros

They are very responsive to suggestions for improvements. If the improvements are specific to your database, the pricing is reasonable. For broader improvements, you can get credit for helping make the overall system better.

Cons

Some of the report generation can be a little clunky to get what I want, but it's getting better.

Responsive and insightful customer service!
Pros

With most new technology, you hope for the perfect fit, but you never really know until you start integrating it into your workflow. This CRM meets expectations, and when something unexpected comes up, the staff works with us to customize our data infrastructure further to meet our needs.

Cons

There is not an easily accessible back-end API to my webinar provider.

The only database you need is The Databank
Pros

The Databank has everything you could ask for in a software package: donor management, relationships, advocacy, marketing, RSVP, meeting reservations, tracking, product sales, and more for both online and offline work. The Databank allows you to customize practically anything to better fit your needs. The customer service and tech teams are outstanding. In the seven years I've been using The Databank, I've always felt like everyone on the staff knew exactly who I was and what my needs were. I worked with their team on a complete system overhaul as they rolled out new updates. I seriously thought I was their most important customer.

Cons

Seriously, I can't think of one negative thing to say or cite a single bad experience with the Databank or the team. The price is even inexpensive.

Yes, The Databank Can!
Pros

I could go on about all the functionality and ease of use within The Databank, but the most noteworthy aspect is the support we receive. All our contact with The Databank support staff (which is probably more frequent than the average customer; we can be needy) is pleasant and professional. I feel like our issues get evaluated and solutions are offered promptly. Their team understands their solutions on a nuts and bolts level, so when we ask if a specific functionality is possible, they quickly tell us if the technology supports it. If not, they usually provide a good alternative method. I never feel like I'm asking too many questions or that they don't have time to explore a scenario with me. Support feels present, as though our issues are a priority. In a nutshell, I feel like we receive the benefits of a tech conglomerate with the personal attention and support of a neighborhood shop.

Cons

I honestly don't have complaints about using the Databank. The price seems more than reasonable for the amount of use I get out of their solutions. If I had to offer some feedback, I would say that some functionality within my Databank is not as simple as it could potentially be, but that hasn't been a huge problem for me.
