“Excellent all around”

Pros

Efficient and one of the best services on the world

Cons

Being hard to set up is one issue, for example Cloudflared. It can also become quickly dependent on Cloudflare.

“fast delivery with strong safety”

Pros

Reliable DDoS protection and easy-to-use management tools round out what Cloudflare offers, alongside security features and a global CDN that improves website performance.

Cons

Cons of Cloudflare include potential service disruptions during configuration, occasional issues with caching, limited customization for advanced users and dependency on their infrastructure for security and performance.

“analytics and DNS insight”

Pros

Using it for the Domain name service and for analytics is what I did. The Domain name service was quite easy to use, I linked it to Squarespace which was easy enough - because there's a tutorial on it on both Cloudflare and Squarespace.

Cons

Quite a lot being on one page meant I had to skim read everything and it took some time to get the hang of it.

“Helps me get everything i need done”

Pros

Great user management is another part of it and it's easy to setup and configure while giving great analytical insight to what is happening in your environment.

Cons

Does require some good technical background around DNS configuration, if you are not comfortable with that then it may feel daunting. Also enterprise pricing isn't very transparent.

“Keeps going strong”

Pros

I like that CloudFlare offers very quick and easy protection with its free nameservers and DNS capabilities. It is a great way of adding protection and additional features to your website or network by simply changing your nameservers and receiving free features such as SSL, a firewall, page rules and more. It has offered a great amount of protection even on its free plan and its feature continue to be useful to this very date throughout the 10+ years I have used them.

Cons

I am not fond of the constant changes to the older features, whilst the newer ones do take a bit of getting used to, it is a little cumbersome when you are trying to perform a simple change that you now have to do differently. The support can also be slightly hit-or-miss as they try to make you increase your plan to receive faster or better support.

“fast and the security is outsetanding”

Pros

What I liked most about is its efficient security features especially the DDoS protection and SSL/TLS encryption which significantly enhanced my website's security. The global CDN improved load times and the simple dashboard with detailed analytics made management easy.

Cons

What I liked least about Cloudflare is the occasional complexity in configuring advanced features. While the basic setup is simple some advanced settings can be confusing and require a steep learning curve. Additionally, customer support response times can sometimes be slow which can be frustrating when dealing with urgent issues.

“handles load without any type of issues”

Pros

One pro about Cloudflare is how it buffers the different information that connects to the server.

Cons

it has redundancy with existing hosting features, as the network provider of the user has already provided it to them

“routing that never drops”

Pros

Page rules that direct traffic, available even on the free plan, come alongside the fact that it hides the origin IP of websites.

Cons

No problems with it at all, always use it for my and customer's domains.

“tools worth every penny!”

Pros

Cloudflare is a bunch of different tools and services, always very easy to deploy and with good and in-depth documentation. The price is awesome for what it does. Many many tools are free with very generous caps. Couldn’t leave without once I got into it, it simply does too much and too well to be looking at alternatives.

Cons

Getting lost sometimes despite how easy the menus are to navigate is my only complaint and it's really minor. With them being re-organized often or new services being added sometimes it takes a while to remember where a certain switch or option was.

“attacks never landed once”

Pros

Being forced to move after our hosting company refused to continue hosting our website is what happened following the attack. I came across Cloudflare around 10 years ago following a significant DDOS attack against our business website. Our new host was happy to have us and recommended Cloudflare as an additional layer of protection and I've been using it ever since.

Cons

When using their wordpress optimisation features, you never know whether they're conflict with another optimisation plugin.

Pros

Zero Trust and the VPN tunnels, along with the simple DNS, all work so well together which is very cool. I find the simple operation of Cloudflare to be an advantage! GREAT!

“quick setup and no cost”

Pros

Fast and pretty simple onboarding along with an easy setup is what stands out and I like that it offers pretty good services for FREE. And how much more with the premium plans?

Cons

Their customer support is not very fast in responding to clients but I think they are working to fix this one now.

“traffic spread without issues”

Pros

Serving your application assets in a CDN delivery network is what it allows and I mainly use Cloudflare for its perfect load-balancing features. You can easily monitor your site using tools built into the web interface.

Cons

You have to get some skills to configure anything in this tool. Sometimes the DDoS protection need to be optimalized to prevent some errors.
