“clean design and works well
Pros
According to me, it looks clean and simple & the design is stellar. It integrates well with our other tools and moving our data over from our old system was easy. Their customer support was good too.
Cons
I've been using it for a few months now and so far, so good! Everything has been great.

Pros
All of my HR needs are in one spot. It's easy to find what I'm looking for and figure out what I need to do. I've used it daily and it was simple right from the start.
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of a single downside. The product is so easy to use &I didn't need any practice to figure it out.

“Lots of features but a bit hard to find
Pros
There are always new features to check out so there's a ton to explore. It's easy to use overall. The single sign-on (SSO) integration was something completely new for me.
Cons
Sometimes it's hard to find what I'm looking for, or to even know if Rippling has a certain feature. It's not always clear where everything is.

“customizable and user friendly
Pros
I love that it is so customizable right from the start. The way they handle employee data with their "Employee Graph" is easy to understand and set up for our company. We have some pretty unique needs for our industry and the Rippling team helped us answer all our questions and build a system that's really user-friendly for our employees.
Cons
I kind of wish they could tie job-related information together a bit better. I hated our old system but one thing it did well was link job titles, EEO info and workers comp codes all in one place. That's a small thing I miss but it's totally worth it for all the other great features we gained by switching to it.

“powerful but takes time to learn
Pros
Best thing about Rippling is how it smoothly combines HR, IT and payroll into one easy-to-use platform. The interface is clean and makes tasks like onboarding, signing up for benefits and running payroll really smooth. I also love how much is automated, like sending offer letters or setting up payroll and it saves us so much time and cuts down on mistakes. It also works really well with the other tools we use.
Cons
Rippling is really powerful but it definitely has a learning curve at the beginning. Some of the deeper settings took me a while to fully get especially since I'm not an HR expert. Sometimes the automation is so advanced that I have to check the help docs or ask support how something works. The good news is, the support team is pretty helpful when you get ahold of them.

This is such an amazing tool! It's very user-friendly and I just love the payments section. The whole design is actually kind of fun!
Cons
I just don't like that I can't use my preferred authenticator app, like Google Authenticator! It's so much easier than the one we have to use.

Both the app and the website are easy to use. I also think it's great that it sends you reminders.
Cons
The time clock doesn't clearly show you when you're already clocked in. It would be nice to have a more obvious status.

Pros
It's really user-friendly. I can do my training without any problems and creating a training request is very simple. It's also easy to get in touch with customer support. I use it all the time for my daily tasks and the features are useful.
Cons
When there's a password reset, it should just tell me directly. I don't want to have to go searching for that info.

“My daily helper
Pros
Having everything in one place from expenses to benefits makes it so easy for me to get my tasks done for the company. It was also really easy to get started with. I use it every single day and it has just the right number of features.
Cons
I use this thing all the time and I've never had any major problems getting it to work with other apps. The integrations are very smooth and the customer support is always great if I need them.

“easy planning but hard login
Pros
Interface is clean and not cluttered so it's pretty easy to find your way around. I especially like that when you schedule time off, it shows you how much time you'll have accrued by then and what your balance will be after.
Cons
The sign-in process is kind of clunky. It pops open a browser, then I have to switch to my authentication app, then switch back. For a second it even looks like it didn't work before the page refreshes. I'd love to just use Face ID or something easier.

“centralized employee portal but has occasional slowdowns
Pros
As an employee, I love that it puts all my important info and tools right where I can find them. I have easy access to my tax documents, HR info, benefits and timesheets. It's so nice not to have to chase down HR for basic things. The best part is how simple it is to request and track my time off. The interface is clean and fast and it shows me exactly how much PTO I have left and even how much I'll have in the future. No more guessing games or waiting for approval emails. It makes me feel like I actually have control over my own data which is really refreshing.
Cons
Sometimes there's an occasional bug or the system gets slow especially during busy times like open enrollment or tax season. It's nothing major but it's noticeable enough that I thought I should mention it.

“Frustrating sales and pop-up ads

For most of our Windows laptops, it just reports the basic stats for me automatically.
Cons
When I started my job, I was new and didn't know what my budget was for IT and security software. I was pretty clear from the start that we were happy with Gusto for HR and didn't want to switch. The sales team assured me that just buying the MDM and IAM features would be fine. But I feel like I was over-promised on what it could do, and now I deal with a lot of friction in the tool I bought.What they didn't show me in the demos is that there are constant pop-ups trying to sell you other features. You can close them but as soon as you go to a new page, they're back. Recently, a huge pop-up took over almost my entire screen. It's like the actual software I bought is hidden "below the fold" of all these ads. I use it multiple times a day to look up info on people's laptops and it's frustrating. For example, I can't even rename Windows machines in the MDM, so I still have to use a separate spreadsheet for inventory. The Google integration was a mess; it automatically added about 100 extra licenses I didn't need and I had to fight with support to get a credit for them. Setting everything up meant I had to manually customize .csv files.

“Makes HR work easy
Pros
I work in HR and I absolutely LOVE it. I can use all sorts of employee profile info to set up smart rules and filters for reports, surveys, reviews. We only started using it a month ago and I've already simplified so many complicated processes with just some basic rules. Our account team actually listens to us and is helping us set things up to better support our growing team. I'm not worried about scaling up because I feel like Rippling can handle it. I'm really excited to find even more ways to automate all the boring, traditional HR stuff in the coming months.
Cons
I think the implementation process itself could be improved. A lot of companies are moving to a help-based structure, which is okay but it takes away from the chance to really customize a flexible system when you're a new client just getting started.

“overall decent but not perfect
Pros
All our business tools are integrated almost smoothly. Having HR, IT and Payroll all under one roof means I'm not constantly switching between different systems and support is centralized.
Cons
It's not as competitive as other specialized solutions out there. It feels like a "jack of all trades, master of none." The system's reliability can be spotty and sometimes when they roll out new features, it accidentally breaks our access to critical production systems.
