ZeroFox Use Cases
Based on our analysis of ZeroFox’s features and product positioning, we have identified key scenarios where the platform is commonly used by enterprises, government agencies, and security teams for external threat protection, digital risk management, and adversary disruption:
1. Educational Institutions Protecting Students, Staff, And Institutional Reputation
Educational institutions face growing digital threats, including phishing campaigns, administrator and faculty impersonation, cyberbullying, leaked credentials, and online threats that can impact campus safety. Monitoring these risks across social media, the web, and other digital channels can be challenging with limited security resources. ZeroFox helps schools, colleges, and universities identify and disrupt malicious activity, detect exposed data, and monitor threats targeting students and staff. This enables institutions to strengthen digital safety, protect their reputation, and respond to emerging risks more effectively.
2. Financial Institutions Preventing Fraud, Phishing, And Brand Impersonation Attacks
Banks, payment providers, insurers, and other financial institutions are frequent targets of phishing campaigns, fraudulent mobile apps, impersonation scams, and data leaks designed to steal customer credentials and sensitive financial information. Managing these threats across websites, social media, mobile platforms, and the dark web can be difficult as digital channels continue to expand. ZeroFox helps financial organizations detect phishing attacks, identify leaked customer and employee data, monitor fraudulent apps and impersonation attempts, and rapidly remove malicious content before it impacts customers. This enables financial institutions to strengthen fraud prevention efforts, protect customer trust, and reduce digital risk across their online ecosystem.
3. Healthcare Organizations Protecting Patient Data And Digital Assets
ZeroFox helps healthcare providers, hospitals, and healthcare networks address digital threats that can put patient information, organizational reputation, and critical services at risk. Cybercriminals frequently target healthcare organizations through phishing campaigns, impersonation attacks, exposed credentials, and data leaks due to the high value of healthcare data. The platform enables security teams to monitor external threats across social media, websites, mobile applications, and dark web sources, while identifying and disrupting malicious activity before it escalates. This helps healthcare organizations reduce digital risk, protect sensitive information, and maintain trust among patients and stakeholders.
4. Technology And E-Commerce Companies Protecting Digital Brands And Online Customer Ecosystems
The platform helps technology companies, SaaS providers, and e-commerce businesses protect their digital ecosystems from phishing attacks, brand impersonation, counterfeit listings, fraudulent apps, and data exposure risks that commonly target high-traffic online environments. With large volumes of customer interactions and distributed digital assets, these organizations often struggle to track malicious activity across social media, websites, marketplaces, and the dark web. ZeroFox enables continuous monitoring, rapid detection, and disruption of threats while also identifying exposed credentials and impersonation attempts that could harm users or damage brand trust. This supports stronger brand protection, safer customer experiences, and improved resilience against evolving digital threats.
