The Spectral Frequency Display visualizes audio, so specific frequency ranges can be selected and edited with the Brush or Lasso tool.

Editors can access this capability to adjust levels for richer tones and clean up vocal tracks, stripping out beeps, hisses, and other unwanted noise until recordings hit the smoothest possible sound. The panel is built for real-time adjustments, so changes can be heard and refined as they're made rather than after export.

This tool lets users pull from thousands of royalty-free sound effects, spanning a general library of over 12,000 clips to specialized collections such as 250-plus comic sounds and 450-plus firearm effects for games, videos, and podcasts. Every file is fully uncompressed for crisp, rich sound, and thorough tagging helps you search, group similar styles, and download them together quickly.

The software makes it possible to automate parts of audio editing through Adobe Sensei. The remix function automatically edits music to match a set length, and auto-ducking dynamically lowers music or dialogue volume when dialogue needs to cut through. Together, these tools cut down on manual trimming and level-riding during a mix.

Creators can rely on this feature to keep using whatever hardware gear or plug-ins they already own, since Audition works across them all without forcing a switch to new equipment. That means an existing studio setup carries over instead of getting replaced.

Podcasters and video editors can turn to this integration to move finished audio directly into a Premiere project, or pair it with visuals from Photoshop, Illustrator, Express Post, and Premiere Rush.
