“best e-commerce solution”
Pros
Setup is easy even for users without technical training. The pricing structure is very attractive for small and mid-sized businesses which makes it appealing from the start. Its website builder and CMS work really well for setting up products organizing product categories and managing SKUs. Order handling, payment processing, shipping and tax setup are all quite easy and practical for everyday use. On top of that, the platform offers a high level of customization and stands out as one of the stronger eCommerce options available.
Cons
While the base pricing is appealing, the fact that every add-on or plugin comes at an extra cost can become expensive as a business grows. Over time, that can push the overall spend close to what companies would pay on other eCommerce platforms. The reporting and analytics tools are also fairly limited and don't offer the level of customization analysts typically need. On top of that, changing themes or making backend adjustments usually requires knowledge of HTML and CSS.

“fantastic store management platform”
Pros
This platform has felt exceptional and very user-friendly. It works really well for web design and for managing content across a website or online store. Offering vouchers and discounts to potential customers is simple with the available add-ons. Order management and order processing are both very clear and easy and payment processing also works extremely well. It's also very helpful for reviewing products which makes it easier for shoppers to decide what they want to buy.
Cons
Pricing structure around the add-ons is the only issue. The base platform itself is affordable which is one of its strengths but the extra cost for each add-on starts to add up over time for us. Theme updates have also been troublesome from time to time.

“Amazing platform for growth”
Pros
Setting this tool up is easy and it's one of the most flexible platforms out there for ecommerce, inventory, web stores, website building and order management. It's designed to scale with your business so it works just as well for a startup as it does for a large enterprise.
Cons
How they communicate new features really frustrates me. Sometimes, a feature gets reduced or changed and the only way to learn about it is by joining a "town hall." I'd rather they send all users a direct email with a clear list of what's being updated or downgraded.

“quick training”
Pros
It becomes very simple to use after getting familiar with the product. Training other employees on data entry and the basic user tasks has been pretty easy as well. The sorting tools are useful and the reports you can export have been especially helpful.
Cons
Customer service can be a bit slow to respond although they are helpful once they do. Other than that, I really don't have any major complaints.

“beginner friendly software”
Pros
There's a lot to appreciate about this platform and a few things really stand out. To start with, it's very beginner-friendly so getting a store up and running doesn't take much effort. The interface feels clear which makes it simple to start selling products right away. It also comes with plenty of features and integrations, giving you lots of ways to tailor the store to your specific needs. On top of that, the platform is dependable and secure which gives peace of mind when it comes to keeping data protected. Customer support has also been excellent and the team is always willing to help whenever questions or problems come up. Another big plus is that the platform keeps improving over time so you can expect ongoing updates and access to new features.
Cons
This software doesn't provide the same level of design and customization flexibility that some other platforms offer.

“integration issues with retail POS”
Pros
When it comes strictly to eCommerce, it has worked really well for me and I've been using it for about 10 years. The platform is easy to use, simple to customize and packed with a lot of useful features even though some of the more advanced ones come at an extra cost. It's also nice that they don't charge a percentage fee especially for smaller stores although once your business grows, other platforms offer the same benefit along with a lot more features.
Cons
Where it really falls short is with integrations to outside software. A lot of smaller eCommerce businesses also run a physical retail location and there still isn't a simple, affordable or reliable way to connect in-store inventory with the inventory. For example, if your shop uses Square POS, you end up needing pricey third-party software for a complex setup that only sort of works to keep online stock synced with in-store sales. If something sells in the store, it should automatically update online inventory but the available solutions feel patchy and unreliable. What's frustrating is that, it doesn't seem to treat this as a real priority and because of that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone running a physical store who needs accurate live inventory online.

“Theme-based launch”
Pros
Installing it was very easy for me. Once you or your client picks a theme, the rest of the process for putting the store online is pretty simple and moves along without much hassle.
Cons
Lack of a built-in builder for basic web pages was the biggest letdown.Creating custom category pages takes more customization work than it really should.

“Excellent fit for small stores”
Pros
Product customization is handled fantastically especially when it comes to showing detailed product specifications. The admin panel is simple and the many newer features make store organization much more easier. It really stands out as an excellent eCommerce platform for small business owners.
Cons
The subscription cost is fairly high. Aside from that, it's been wonderful.

“Better value over time”
Pros
After more than eight years using it, I still feel it performs better than comparable platforms and comes at a more reasonable price.
Cons
Handling my catalogue size is the real frustration. I have around 1,000 parent SKUs and 11,000 child SKUs and the platform won't import my large spreadsheet. When my brands make major price changes, I can't just upload my vendor's CSV or Excel file. Instead, we have to go through and update every regular price and sale price individually which takes far too much time. Permanently discounting items or setting up sales is also very time-consuming.

“Affordable software”
Pros
Installing this tool was very affordable and the included Codisto version for multichannel integration is a really nice bonus when launching a new business. It offers strong value upfront and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
Cons
Recurring monthly charge for paid themes is a drawback. You can buy a theme from outside their store but then you miss out on support for it. In the long term, a one-time payment option might be a better deal for customers.

“efficient store management tools”
Pros
Running a business with it gives you a lot of room to manage different areas in one place and it clearly aims to let companies handle everything from a single app while building a site for growth. The shipping options are customizable, the tax setup is very flexible and the marketing tools are quite useful. It also offers SEO features, lets you tailor payment methods and the interface feels simple to navigate.
Cons
Pricing has been going up quite a bit compared with other competitors. They also do not seem to pay much attention to user suggestions when it comes to adding better or updated features. On top of that, the platform is still mainly centered on the U.S. market which leaves out many users in other parts of the world who are interested in using the service.

Pros
Exploring it is pretty easy which makes day-to-day use much more manageable. Whenever questions come up, their customer support team is usually responsive and fairly helpful.
Cons
We're currently in the middle of moving to a new theme and testing different apps in the sandbox has brought a few challenges. Their support team does make an effort to assist but they don't always have the specific answers we're looking for.

“creative freedom and quickbooks win”
Pros
Building my store with it has been a really positive experience. The platform gave me a lot of creative freedom which I appreciated while setting everything up. Getting around the system also became pretty natural and being able to use QuickBooks to process payments was a big advantage. When I launched my online store, that wasn't something Shopify could offer so that made it stand out even more.
Cons
Adding item locations directly to invoices would be a really helpful option to have. I don't print packing slips, only invoices so right now I have to write the locations by hand for whoever is pulling the order. I also wish I could arrange the order of the items and have that layout remain in place. There is definitely some practice required for the average person when first using it but once I got through that stage, it became much more comfortable to work with.
