amazing new path for sellers

Pros

Honestly this platform feels like it's opening up brand new opportunities for a lot of people. It's a really impressive piece of software and has been very good overall.

Cons

There really isn't anything I can point to as a downside. Everything has been beyond what I expected.

complete storefront

Pros

Running an online store with it feels very practical because the platform is so complete. You can set up your store, add products and offer different payment and shipping options in a way that stays agile and fluid for both the customer placing the order and the store owner receiving payments online. The process is very simple and easy so you do not need to be an expert to work with its designs, customize them or make changes without needing extensive programming knowledge. Another thing that makes it so appealing is that you also do not need deep marketing skills since it includes very user friendly tools for creating sales campaigns and other promotions. New apps and templates can be installed with just one click which makes expanding the store much faster and at the same time it gives your shop a modern, up to date and polished look. For an online store, it really feels like one of the best options available.

Cons

One limitation is that it does not let you handle translations into other languages directly so you have to look for other platforms or external solutions to do that. I really hope they add this feature in the future because having built-in translation support would make the platform even better.

Standout flexibility

Pros

Among eCommerce platforms, it feels like one of the most approachable while still being powerful enough to run a serious store. It strikes a really nice balance between simplicity and capability. The theme and app marketplaces are excellent, with plenty of quality options to extend your site. One thing that really helps it stand out is true multi-currency selling which a lot of competing platforms still don't handle properly. It also includes a free email marketing tool that lets you manage and send campaigns to up to 2,500 subscribers. If you use their payments, you avoid extra transaction fees and on top of that, it works with a wide range of third party payment gateways. It's also nice that you can try it out for free before committing and you don't even have to enter a credit card to do that.

Cons

Features you'd expect to be built in often require installing an app which can make the initial setup more inconvenient than it should be and sometimes adds a bit of slowdown to the site. The starting price of $30 per month or higher can feel expensive especially when you compare it with some open-source alternatives. Advanced reporting is locked behind the pricier plans which is disappointing if you need those insights early on. Real-time carrier shipping rates can also get expensive if you're not using shipping or if that service isn't available where you're based since you may need to pay extra or commit to an annual plan. A number of the more appealing features are also reserved for the higher-tier subscriptions.

strong integrations

Pros

I got the website template I wanted up and running quite easily. I also really appreciated how simple it was to connect it with other platforms like Oberlo. Adding products to the site was quick and without any trouble and overall the platform felt polished, capable and very user friendly.

Cons

I was happy with almost everything it offers when it comes to making an e-commerce site look professional and well-designed. The downside for us was that our store, budgethunters.com, just didn't perform at the level we were hoping for given how much we spent on advertising and how much effort we put into it. Because of that we ended up moving away from this option and are now thinking about building a custom site ourselves, then possibly integrating the platforms cart or some of their other tools.

beginner friendly for small shops

Pros

Working with it is very easy especially for a small business owner or someone completely new to selling online.

Cons

Reaching customer support can be frustrating. The so called experts were a big disappointment too. I spent a lot of money and got very little useful advice and in the end they mostly told me to handle things myself. The worst response I received was simply "upgrade your plan" and that was after charging me $100 and then refusing a refund. I expected them to be part of the softwares own team, not freelancers from different places or random agencies calling themselves experts.

efficient store customization tools

Pros

Setting up an online store with it feels very easy. It helps us publish products across websites and apps or keep them in draft mode when needed. We can also send our full product inventory to Google Merchant Center and launch Shopping ads directly from there. On top of that, changing the store's look is simple thanks to the available templates and it doesn't require any coding. It's just as practical for making other adjustments too, like creating discount options, setting usage limits for discount codes and adding expiration dates.

Cons

One thing that feels unnecessary is the small extra fee they charge if we use our own payment gateway integration especially since we are already paying for the premium version. Beyond that, the payment processing fees also seem excessively high.

painless store launch

Pros

Compared with other platforms, this feels much more easy to use. The interface is clean and user friendly and the available templates do a lot of the customization work for you. It also comes with an extensive knowledge base that answers just about any question you might run into. If you want to avoid unnecessary frustration and get an online store up and running without the usual trouble, this is definitely the way to go.

Cons

Works with plenty of third party apps and plug-ins but there are still some gaps. In our case, it didn't support the ReachMail service we had been using so we ended up migrating our email marketing over to MailChimp and that process took quite a while. It's worth double-checking that your current tools and services are fully compatible before committing to this solution for your eCommerce site.

simple to work with

Pros

Starting with it feels very easy. It's simple to move around the platform and it stands out as a strong choice for running an online store. The 14 day trial gives you time to test things properly and it remains one of the more competitive e-commerce platforms available. It also works well on mobile, lets you create discounts, publish blogs and offers dedicated 24/7 customer support through phone, chat and email. Partnering with this tool for your business can easily be one of the smartest decisions you make.

Cons

The basic plan comes with fewer selling features which can be limiting. It's also not exactly affordable for small businesses that are not generating high sales yet. There's no free plan some template features are restricted and the exit options are not very flexible.

Simple management

Pros

Running my store on it has been a really positive experience. It's very simple to manage day to day and their customer support is quick to respond whenever I need help.

Cons

A few of the built-in reports feel a bit limited but if you need deeper data, you can always add specific apps to cover that.

handy updates, weak amazon sync

Pros

Opening the app and having my orders collected in one place has been really helpful. Being able to check real-time updates right away takes a lot of the stress out of waiting on something important.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is that Amazon orders don't update automatically in the app. Since most of my purchases are through Amazon, it's annoying that the integration isn't as smooth as it is with other shopping apps like SHEIN.

don't need to be an expert

Pros

Coming from a web programming background, this feels like a true plug and play SaaS platform that makes setting up and maintaining a website much more easy! It also gives you the option to modify the built in code which is a big plus if you're comfortable working with code.

Cons

The extra costs for add-on apps can pile up and it's also limiting that videos can't be included in the picture carousel.

custom themes but pricey apps

Pros

Building a store with this platform gives you plenty of ways to sell both digital and physical products. There are lots of eCommerce themes to choose from so it's possible to create the exact storefront look you have in mind and customizing them is fairly easy too. It also comes with many integrated apps that are simple to install if you want to add more features to your storefront. On top of that, it supports multiple payment options such as PayPal, Stripe and Apple Pay and setting up Facebook Pixel is very simple.

Cons

A problem is that the platform doesn't provide automatic backups. If files get deleted by mistake, there really isn't a built-in way to undo it or recover them. Also most of the truly useful apps require an extra payment and those added costs can feel pretty excessive. Another issue is that it isn't especially beginner friendly since you need some training to configure everything properly.

payment flexibility and app variety

Pros

One thing that genuinely caught me off guard was how many payment options the store can handle, from PayPal and Visa cards to international payment method packages. There's also a huge selection of apps and services that I can connect to my online store, like antivirus tools and other add-ons that help give customers a stronger sense of trust and credibility in the store.

Cons

The subscription cost feels overly expensive especially for small shop owners. On top of that, the 14-day free trial is basically pointless. It would make much more sense if the trial lasted at least two or three months since any online store usually needs time before making its first sale. Another better option would be to offer free accounts up to a certain sales limit within the site.
