customize your store!

Pros

An accessible platform for managing online sales and customizing your store through templates especially useful for people who already have an established business and want to expand into digital sales.

Cons

The fees charged on each sale are very high so the final price for customers has to be increased and that can lead to slower sales.

strong sales boost

Pros

Using this helped us take our sales to the next level. Since it's built specifically for selling online, it made it easier to connect with customers wherever they were.

Cons

At the same time the platform wasn't the most accessible to figure out and it didn't give us access to every design feature we wanted for our website.

Solid integrations

Pros

Building my online store on my own was completely doable even without any coding knowledge. The platform gave me a lot of room to customize things the way I wanted and connecting it with other software was pretty easy and user friendly.

Cons

Took quite a bit of time to get everything to match the vision I had in mind It also really helps to already have some digital marketing knowledge because without that, it's possible to spend more money than you end up making.

support failures and broken access

Pros

One of the few positives has been the reliability of the store itself and the core setup. Our website is hardly ever down, payments almost always go through without issues and the connection with POS is also useful.

Cons

Support has become unbelievably poor. Even while paying them hundreds of pounds every month, you first have to get past an AI chatbot just to speak to an actual person. When you finally do, the quality of help is so bad that it makes you question trusting this company with your business. We recently needed a user account reset and after 4 days of being sent through endless hoops trying to get support to sort it out, they reset the wrong account- my admin account instead. In the end after 5 days without access to our own account, I had to track down a former employee who now lives in another country just to get a code and regain access. No matter how ineffective the support is, if you ask for any refund from the substantial amounts you are paying, they seem trained to completely ignore the request and act as if the question was never asked. It also keeps 'updating' things but that often seems to mean removing functions or support and over-simplifying features. You keep hearing the platform 'can't do that' or 'it can't do that anymore' so you are pushed to use apps. Then you end up relying on loads of apps and whenever something breaks, it just says it's not their problem and tells you to contact the app's support. More and more, we are also hearing from app support teams that it is blocking them from doing things and taking functions away.

I like it!

Pros

It is really easy to get an online store set up and working. The platform comes with plenty of user friendly tools and it also gives merchants a wide range of payment options to offer customers.

Cons

Honestly I haven't come across anything I dislike about it as a platform for running my online business.

user friendly

Pros

Right from the start, it has been very user friendly and scalable which makes it a solid fit for businesses of all sizes. The 24/7 customer support is another big advantage because it helps us troubleshoot issues quickly whenever they come up. The mobile app is also a real plus since it allows us to work remotely and stay productive.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this tool. It has worked smoothly across all its functions and our company has benefited a lot from using it.

beginner friendly store builder

Pros

Using it feels very easy even if you're new to it. The templates and app options help put together an online store quickly without much trouble.

Cons

The drawback is that some apps and more advanced features can become pretty expensive especially for smaller businesses. A lot of the total cost really depends on which features and apps your business ends up needing.

affordable launch for ecommerce

Pros

Starting an ecommerce website with this is very affordable and it's incredibly simple to use even if you're not a developer.

Cons

The pricing has gone up quite a bit in recent years and the increase felt pretty drastic although I understand they probably had to raise it after keeping it that low for so long.

easy to figure out

Pros

Compared with other platforms I've used, this has been much more easy and dependable. I haven't run into any issues at all which is something I definitely couldn't say about the others. Even when questions come up, it's been fairly accessible to work through and figure things out.

Cons

My only real concern is the yearly cost. I'd love to see the fees come down a bit since keeping expenses lower would be nice but aside from that I really don't have any complaints.

powerful ecommerce for clients

Pros

Has been excellent for our clients and is very simple to manage. The platform is user friendly and its e commerce features are broad and capable.

Cons

The pricing is usually higher compared with alternatives like WooCommerce. Customization can also feel more limited than WordPress and its plugins unless you add paid monthly apps.

built in shipping makes selling simple

Pros

Running an online store with it feels very easy and it takes a lot of the trouble out of selling to customers online. The built-in shipping feature has been the biggest benefit for me. All I need to do is pack the order, stick on the shipping label it provides and it's ready to go out to the customer.

Cons

Selling digital products or "experiences" through this was a bit less easy than I expected although there were plugin options that made it workable. Even with that limitation, it still felt like the strongest platform overall for selling different kinds of products.

great integrations

Pros

The platform feels incredibly user friendly and the standout part of the experience for me was how well it connected with my accounting software and CRM. On top of that the app selection is extensive so it covered pretty much every customer interaction, data collection and checkout feature I needed.

Cons

Since I worked with quite a few apps, it could sometimes be hard to figure out where an issue was actually coming from - whether it was the platform itself, one of the apps or QuickBooks. A few problems also needed manual fixes but I was glad the support team was available and helped get everything sorted out.

solid tools for launching fast

Pros

Getting started with it is pretty easy as long as you're not diving too deep into the advanced stuff. For the core job, it's very simple to use and the integrated apps can handle just about everything you need in the beginning.

Cons

Tracking down the exact report you want can feel a little disorganized at times. Also, the 3 months for $1 deal really gives you a 90-day window to start making sales, otherwise the fees can start to outweigh the benefit.

all my favorite shops together

Pros

Having so many stores in one place is what I really enjoy about it. It makes shopping convenient and they usually honor the sales and discount codes they advertise.

Cons

I really haven't run into anything bad with the platform though I do wish they had more payment methods available including additional pay later options.

Pros

The interface is clear and approachable even without technical skills. Setting up an online store can be done pretty quickly.

The platform requires a paid subscription and the costs can climb fast once you start adding apps or premium features.

Excellent!

Pros

Right away the app integrations and the very user friendly interface made it simple to work with. It really helps take a lot of the trouble out of running a small business.

Cons

Pricing is a downside although that's tough to avoid with platforms like this. Every now and then it also glitches and says an order still needs to be packed even after it has already been shipped.

allows interoperability

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of the platform was its interoperability. There were plenty of different software tools and integrations I could connect to my account.

Cons

Part I liked least about it was how tricky it could be to move through the different pages in the user settings.

Best out there

Pros

Running this has been very easy and connecting it with other sales channels like eBay, Amazon and Etsy is a big plus. It takes a lot of the complexity out of managing sales across platforms and makes the whole process much simpler.

Cons

There are still some technical issues on both the app and the website. Marketplace Connect can be unreliable at times and the app tends to crash every few weeks.

setup felt too complicated

Pros

Even though my overall experience with the platform wasn't the best, it still gave me a way to launch an online store and start selling my products.

Cons

Setting up everythin was a bit challenging for me. In my view, it's not the most beginner friendly option for selling and there are also more affordable ways to start offering your products online.

Not expensive

Pros

Building a store with it was the part I appreciated most! I've used it for several different brands and each time the setup process felt very easy. It's also a cost effective option which makes a real difference for small businesses and Black-owned businesses.

Cons

Integration side can be a bit challenging at times. I do appreciate having a platform with plenty of customization but connecting it with my website and service provider wasn't always smooth and sometimes took extra effort.
