top-tier customization and speed

Pros

Ever since I began using this editor, I have been really pleased with it. Other options were recommended to me but they just don't match the quality, customization or speed this one offers.

Cons

It's not the most affordable web hosting option out there but the professional-level service and customization still make it one of the best choices available.

Pros

Squarespace lets me build websites and handle all my site content from a single place.

Cons

Compared with options like GoDaddy, it doesn't include domain registration.

stylish templates with lots of options

Pros

It is pretty easy to use and it's simple to understand when customizing a blog. The templates look really well designed, they can be edited without much trouble and there are plenty of plugins available to add more functionality.

Cons

The hosting cost feels a bit expensive and it's also not ideal that some of the newer features require paying extra.

A complete website toolkit

Pros

Squarespace gives me everything in one place, including hosting, domain registration, design features, e-commerce tools and more.

Cons

There can still be a bit of a learning curve for beginners especially if website design and the terminology are new to them. That was exactly the case for me when I first started out with it.

helpful videos and event calendar

Pros

The event calendar is really useful and the tutorial videos do a good job of guiding you through things.

Cons

When it comes to web design, making changes can be frustrating. Lining elements up, adding content and uploading new pictures or articles to pages feels harder than it should. The platform doesn't offer the best options and overall it's not very easy to use.

creative branding that shines

Pros

One thing I really enjoy about Squarespace is how simple the web design and customization tools are to work with. It gives creative people like me the space to bring our own branding to life online which I absolutely love.

Cons

The part that bothers me most is the cost of the subscription. That said the quality of the service really makes up for it so it still feels like a worthwhile win-win for creatives and the platform.

fantastic website builder support

Pros

Building and managing a website with Squarespace is very easy and user friendly, even if you don't have much technical experience. Also it includes hosting which means there's no need to spend time looking for a separate hosting provider. Another big plus is how responsive the customer service is, with both live chat and email support available when needed.

Cons

The biggest downside is the pricing which can feel a bit expensive for some users especially if you're working with a tight budget. There are definitely cheaper website builder alternatives out there.

Simplifies website building process

Pros

Putting together a website on Squarespace is pretty easy even if you don't have any web design background. There are also plenty of templates available and the designs look modern and professional.

Cons

A few features still feel somewhat limited but they do keep rolling out new ones on a regular basis.

powerful platform, pricey plans

Pros

Using the platform has been enjoyable overall and it offers a really good space to work in but there should be a more affordable plan available. I also don't like having to rely on integrations.

Cons

It's a strong platform but the pricing is simply too high for people in Botswana or South Africa to realistically sign up. It really needs a more affordable option for the African market.

clean templates

Pros

It only takes a few days to get a business site up and running. The templates look really good and the customization process was simple to work through. Publishing the site was simple, updates and new posts are hassle free and they keep rolling out new features regularly. The subscription pricing is also fairly affordable.

Cons

There are probably fewer template choices compared with some of the more established platforms. Connecting it to my CRM also needed a middleware tool like Zapier which wasn't a major problem but some other website CMS options offer that connection directly without needing an extra app.

all in one for my business

Pros

Squarespace gives me a complete setup for running my small business. I use the blog, e-commerce tools, course builder and email campaigns and everything connects really well. The whole platform looks professional and I don't need much coding or developer experience to make it work.

Cons

I am very happy with it overall and only have a couple of minor complaints. I'd love the option to bundle online classes sold through Member Areas and it would also help to offer products in multiple currencies. Aside from those small things, I really enjoy managing my business with it.

Powerful website and business tools

Pros

Starting from scratch I was able to design and build a full website on Squarespace. Beyond just creating the site, it also let me accept payments, send invoices, print receipts and even handle payroll which made it really useful for running the business too.

Cons

One frustration was that the only verification option was tied to a phone number. When my personal number changed, I didn't realize it would affect access to my website and I ended up having to contact customer service to confirm my identity. I really wish there were other verification methods besides just a phone number.

Provides the best support

Pros

High-quality templates and designs fit well with different kinds of websites. The customer support is very complete too, with live chat, training videos, a forum and email assistance. For online stores, it offers several secure payment options such as Stripe, PayPal and Apple Pay. The site is also well optimized for SEO, with the option to enable AMP technology to improve mobile loading speed.

Cons

It costs more than some competing platforms, doesn't offer as much customization as certain alternatives and isn't especially well suited for international ecommerce.

professional look and helpful support

Pros

It gave my website a very professional appearance and the customer support was really excellent.

Cons

Like most website builders, it comes with limited features and is quite expensive. It's also hard to troubleshoot your site without having to remove customizations.

stylish templates and reliable tools

Pros

Squarespace comes with modern design templates, a user friendly interface and dependable built-in features. It's nice not having to deal with plugins, constant updates and the extra hassles that tend to come with some other platforms.

Cons

That said I have run into limits when it comes to customization and the move to their latest version was anything but smooth since customers had to rebuild their sites instead of simply upgrading. It's also definitely pricier than some other options out there.

fun templates and helpful support

Pros

Building a small personal website with Squarespace was the best choice for me. I started with zero web design experience and only wanted to launch my own blog so I expected the learning curve to be a bit intimidating. Still, Squarespace made the whole process feel very manageable. On top of that whenever I had a question, I could usually find a clear answer in their General Questions section which was surprisingly useful compared to most other sites. And if I still needed help, their customer support was easy to reach, genuinely helpful and really nice to deal with. I am so glad I picked Squarespace over the other options. Having ready-made templates that were also fully customizable made the whole experience even more enjoyable and fun.

Cons

At the moment, I really don't have any major negatives to point out. The only part that gave me some trouble was setting up an email list but I was able to figure it out in the end.

portfolio builder for creatives

Pros

Putting together a portfolio with Squarespace has been really useful. As a creative, having quick access to showcase my work matters a lot and this makes the whole portfolio-building process very convenient.

Cons

Up to this point everything has been going well. It feels like a one-stop shop though I'd still love to see more templates added and more digital product options available on it.

Not overly complicated

Pros

The quality and attention to detail in the template design are what convinced me to use Squarespace as my main CMS. Building a site as a beginner doesn't feel overly complicated and the copy-and-paste system helps move things along quickly.

Cons

It doesn't offer enough features for SEO and manually entering VAT for the e-commerce tools isn't very user friendly. It becomes especially frustrating if you sell products with different VAT rates each time.
