stylish setup with simplicity

Pros

Squarespace focuses on the basics done well such as attractive design and an easy to use builder. That's the real value. The whole platform is built around simplicity.

Cons

Beyond the basic website tools, there really isn't much extra included in the subscription especially for the price. It feels overpriced and the functionality is fairly limited.

beautiful templates with creative freedom

Pros

Its pre-built templates are one of my favorite parts especially because they still leave plenty of room to customize. That makes it possible to be creative whether you have a lot of time, very little experience with building websites or both. Once the site is live, the end result looks professional and beautiful. Compared with other platforms, you would never guess it comes from a beginner friendly web design tool. The overall look is clean, professional and keeps the attention on communicating with your audience. Squarespace handles the visual side really well which lets you focus more on the content that actually matters.

Cons

The only downside for us was the domain cost since it was cheaper to buy our domain through another provider instead of directly through it. That said connecting the outside domain to the website ended up being a bit more complicated than expected. If their domain pricing were more competitive with other providers, we probably would not feel the need to purchase it elsewhere.

fantastic for team collaboration

Pros

Working with a team in Squarespace even remotely has been very easy. The platform is user‑friendly so even beginners get comfortable with it quickly.

Cons

The media library still feels a bit underdeveloped and could use better organization.

Best website editing tools

Pros

Switching to Squarespace made website design and day to day management much easier for us. Updating content and making redesign changes can be done quickly which was a big reason we moved over in the first place. We wanted a platform that anyone could handle without needing technical web skills and it does that well.

Cons

At times the way certain features work is not very user friendly. It's still simple enough once you figure it out but the path to getting something done is not always obvious at first. I also don't think it's really built for high-end, highly functional websites so depending on what someone needs, the platform may feel a bit limiting.

At the start it was a bit hard to figure out and navigate but it works really well once you understand how to use it.

powerful integrations

Pros

Squarespace comes with strong integrations that really support the site and overall product. The Fluid Engine update has made the design process much more effective and we also began using Acuity Scheduling which has been a total game changer for handling more complex scheduling needs.

Cons

Once in a while, there are still a few features that need custom code. Aside from that, it's very user friendly and offers a lot of flexibility without requiring any coding knowledge at all.

fun and clear website building

Pros

Building my website on this platform felt very easy and clear which made the whole project a lot more enjoyable. I had a really good time putting everything together and customizing it so it matched exactly what I wanted.

Cons

The only trouble I ran into was setting up a payment method through it but that seemed to be an issue on my side rather than with the platform itself. Everyone I know who uses this site has been able to do it without any problems.

beautiful templates

Pros

Right away the variety of templates stood out and they all look really attractive. I also appreciated the different ways they guide you through getting started with building a website. Another plus is being able to add payment plans to your site and offer different payment options.

Cons

One thing I wish they offered is better help when setting up shipping for products sold through the website. It would also be nice to have more built-in support and ideas to help users while putting their websites together.

Amazing experience overall

Pros

Squarespace makes designing and building websites is fairly easy and it's a really useful tool whenever I need to update a design or put together a completely new page from scratch.

Cons

It does cost a bit more than some other options but to me the quality of the product makes the higher price feel justified.

mobile-first design that delivers

Pros

The mobile-first responsive design is a big plus especially now that most people browse the web on their phones. With so much of online traffic coming from mobile users, having a website that looks right and works well on smaller screens really matters.

Cons

The price is definitely higher compared with other options out there. That said the quality does back it up so the higher cost feels like part of the trade-off.

beautiful responsive site builder

Pros

Squarespace really shines when it comes to design. It lets you build a professional, visually attractive website without needing any coding skills. You can fine-tune the look of your site with good control over typography, color palettes, image galleries and multimedia elements so the overall style feels very customizable. Another big plus is the responsive design which helps the site display beautifully across different devices and gives visitors a better viewing experience.

Cons

Getting comfortable with everything can take a little time. Even though the platform is fairly user friendly, there is still a bit of a learning curve when it comes to understanding all the features and customization settings especially for someone new to building websites. That said the simple layout and helpful support resources do make the process easier to manage.

Happy with it

Pros

After checking out a bunch of website builders, I ended up using this one because it was recommended to me and I was really pleased with how simple it was to get started and build what I needed.

Cons

The only thing I'd point out is the price since it isn't the cheapest option out there, even if it does feel like one of the most effective.

blog publishing that just works

Pros

I am still getting familiar with Squarespace and I am pretty happy I chose it. It's fairly simple to use, works well and once the settings are in place, publishing blog posts across the board becomes really quick and convenient.

Cons

Website management can feel a bit complicated at first and the support or guidance you get isn't always of the highest quality.

Good tool for beginners

Pros

The way it works is very user friendly especially for people who don't already know how to use it and it lets you build and customize things to match your own style.

Cons

At the moment, I really have not noticed any major downsides. If I had to mention something minor, it would be that they sometimes send a bit too much spam by email.

portfolio site up in no time

Pros

The thing I like is that putting together a website for my design portfolio takes hardly any time with this tool and the whole process is really simple. It's been especially useful having something professional and ready to show during job interviews.

Cons

The subscription price feels pretty high and it's frustrating that you cannot keep the website online once you stop paying. That part can be pretty annoying.
