“thoughtful templates for every need”
Pros
There's a really strong variety of designs available and they do a good job of covering different needs. The way the templates are organized by category also makes choosing one much faster which helps with a step that usually takes up a lot of time.
Cons
It would have been nice if they offered a free plan for individual users too but for a business like ours, the pricing works well.

“simple setup for beginners”
Pros
Coming from a non-technical background, I expected building a website to be really difficult. I was put in charge of creating our site so I went with Squarespace to make the process easier and it turned out to be much more user friendly than I expected.
Cons
While putting the website together is easy, the end result is pretty cookie cutter. There really isn't much room to customize it beyond the basics.

“simple setup for new sites”
Pros
Squarespace is pretty easy to use especially if you're new to building a website. The features are simple to work with and the basic templates make the whole process approachable.
Cons
That said it does have its limits compared with some other website builders. How well it works really depends on how complex your site needs to be and for more advanced websites, it's probably better to consider another option.

“handy mobile checkout for events”
Pros
Running several art shows each month, Square has been incredibly useful for my business. I keep it on both my computer and my phone so I can send invoices to customers from my computer and let them pay securely by card. At events, my phone basically becomes a mobile cash register which makes it simple to accept cash, checks and cards. I also use a chip reader that handles tap-and-go payments which is really convenient. One feature I especially appreciate is offline credit card processing. Some venues have terrible cell service but I can still swipe cards without a problem. Once I get a signal again, Square automatically uploads the transactions. It's just a very convenient way to handle sales at art fairs.
Cons
My only real complaint is the same one I have with almost all software as it could be a little easier to get in touch with an actual human.

“beautiful templates and quick launch”
Pros
Getting a first website live is very manageable with Squarespace. The templates are professional, well organized and the platform is simple to use so there's really no need to hire a developer when you're just getting started.
Cons
there wasn't anything to complain about. Everything felt simple, user friendly and we really enjoyed using it while we had it.

“perfect for a massive catalog”
Pros
After comparing a lot of website platforms, this was the one that actually matched the size of my product catalog. I am a composer and arranger with several thousand downloadable items spread across more than 50 ensemble categories and very few of the platforms I looked into were anywhere close to handling that kind of setup.
Cons
Having worked with several website and shopping cart platforms before, I was surprised this one doesn't support nested folders. Every other system I have used had that option and that's the one thing I really don't like here which is no folder nesting.

“flexible controls and clean setup”
Pros
Getting the web version configured is very easy. The platform is simple to use and working with objects feels manageable and organized. It also gives developers complete control over tabs and GUI elements which is a big plus.
Cons
The template selection is fairly limited and that can make it harder to choose the right one for a specific application.

It seems like a great option for startup e-commerce businesses although I have not used it long enough yet to really say much beyond that, whether positive or negative.

“beautiful templates anyone can use”
Pros
The website designs look high-end and the platform is simple enough that just about anyone can get the hang of it.

“perfect for blog shop selling”
Pros
Running my blog store with this software has worked really well and I have connected it with print-on-demand companies to handle my products. Because of that, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone just getting started in e-commerce. Another big plus is being able to process transactions offline when I am selling at fairs or pop-up shops which is especially useful for authors.
Cons
Getting everything set up at first was a little confusing especially when it came to understanding what the platform actually does and how it fits into my business. After I finally got the hang of that, it became much more manageable to use.

“user friendly on desktop and mobile”
Pros
Right from the start Squarespace was very easy to use. I have worked with several other platforms before and this one was especially simple to manage on both desktop and mobile which isn't something I can say about every site.
Cons
The only downside I have noticed is the pricing since it costs more than some alternatives. For example, they charge extra for email marketing, while other platforms include that for free. Other than that, I really have not had any issues with it.

“versatile platform for creatives”
Pros
As a creative business owner Squarespace has been the best fit for what I need. The platform is user friendly, simple to navigate and comes with thousands of ready made templates. It's incredibly flexible too and I have been able to use it for everything from building my brand identity to setting up my digital storefront with the drag and drop tools. On top of that the customer support has been outstanding as they consistently get back to me within 24 hours.
Cons

“Simple setup and migration”
Pros
Squarespace software is very easy to use. Even without much technical experience, it's possible to use the platform confidently and get professional looking results. Optimizing the site was simple, moving over from another platform went without any real trouble and I was able to integrate another software I already use as well.
Cons
The only part that gave me trouble was setting up the email marketing tools. It took a bit of figuring out and I really wish that process were more simple because I'd be more likely to use it.
