flexible templates for everyone

Pros

Building a website with Squarespace is really easy. No matter your skill level, you can jump in, choose a template and customize it into a full site. At the same time it's also a good option for more advanced users since you can edit and personalize things further with code. I also appreciate that social media feeds can be integrated so content updates automatically. Having a website is pretty much a must for any business now and Squarespace makes that possible for just about anyone.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more built-in scheduling tools and better appointment management features.

stylish platform with constant upgrades

Pros

Using Squarespace has not been a hassle, the design looks professional and they keep improving the platform while acquiring new companies to broaden their third-party integrations.

Cons

Pricing has been climbing and for e-commerce it still trails Shopify though I am hoping they keep narrowing that gap.

Worst support experience

Pros

It's fairly easy to use and doesn't take long to learn. The pricing also sits in a reasonable mid-range.

Cons

The biggest problem is the customer service. Getting help is frustrating and there doesn't seem to be anyone available by phone, assuming you can even track down a number.

clean landing pages and marketing

Pros

Squarespace works really well for web design, landing pages and capturing traffic through those landing pages. It also includes useful email marketing features which makes it a great all in one option.

Cons

I am still using the trial version and learning how everything works so I don't have any downsides to report at this point.

professional site with no hassle

Pros

The pricing and free trial were what first pulled me toward Squarespace. After using it for a while it turned out to be very simple to work with and I was able to build a professional looking website entirely on my own.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. Once everything was set up, I could pretty much leave it alone and not worry about it.

Not recommended at all

Pros

The design tools, user friendly setup and reasonable pricing are the main reasons I still stick with this company but the biggest draw for me is the wide range of partner integrations they offer.

Cons

Dealing with customer support feels like a total waste of time. They seem completely uninterested in resolving problems, interrupt conversations and I have even had staff raise their voice at me.

stylish portfolios for creatives

Pros

Squarespace works really well for building websites that need a strong visual focus especially for things like photography, videography or art portfolios. It feels like a great fit for creative projects where images do most of the storytelling and you don't need a lot of written content to make an impact.

Cons

At the same time, it can feel a bit limiting when you want to customize things more deeply. The templates and creative tools only let you go so far so there isn't a lot of flexibility if you're trying to make the site feel completely unique and truly your own.

portfolio pages that just work

Pros

Running my portfolio site on Squarespace has been really convenient. Setting up separate pages for different sections, like my bio, gallery and videos, is simple and I can also add downloadable files such as PDFs without any hassle. There are plenty of templates to choose from too so finding one that fits my style doesn't take much effort.

Cons

My only complaint is that the pricing could be a bit more affordable.

quick launch with polished templates

Pros

Getting started with Squarespace was incredibly fast. We were able to build and launch a client website in just two days which made the whole process feel very efficient.

Cons

The downside is that page customization feels somewhat restricted. It relies heavily on templates so you have to stay within that preset structure and there's less flexibility than I'd like.

stylish setup for beginners

Pros

Squarespace made it easy to design and launch a site. It works especially well for people without any web experience and the graphics and design tools are simple to understand and use.

Cons

One thing that felt a bit lacking was the integration with Facebook Business and email platforms when it came to running paid ads and email marketing campaigns.

simple start for beginners

Pros

It was easy to set and run a website, even though I had absolutely no experience and didn't know where to begin.

Cons

After choosing a template, I felt pretty stuck with it and making bigger changes or upgrading the site later was difficult.

Highly recommended!

Pros

This software is really easy to use as I had my website live within minutes and I'd definitely recommend it to my clients.

Cons

The one thing I don't like is that it doesn't offer a free plan.

sleek designs and user friendly setup

Pros

Unlike a lot of website builders that seem to throw obstacles in your way, Squarespace keeps the whole site-building process as simple and user friendly as possible. From picking a theme, to adding content, to setting up a store and finally launching the site, everything feels well thought out and accessible. The templates and overall design quality are also very modern and often feel ahead of the industry which is really impressive.

Cons

Like most website builders, its on-page SEO still has room for improvement. It does make an effort by including SEO settings and tools but there's still quite a bit missing compared to what you might want.

user friendly setup clients enjoy

Pros

Squarespace is very user friendly. It's simple to understand, works well with Square Pay and connecting everything doesn't take much effort. Clients also seem very comfortable using it which has been a big plus.

Cons

The billing side can be a bit confusing at times especially when trying to mark something as paid or adjust the rates.

Secure and reliable solution

Pros

Coming from a Mac user this software is incredibly easy to use. I really like the security features and how well it connects with other tools. I have added registration software, Calendly for scheduling meetings, Google Docs and likely more along the way. I have also gone back and updated those systems whenever the seasons changed. I was worried that making edits after not touching things for weeks or even months would feel tedious and send me searching online for help but every time it has been simple to navigate. The security, fast performance and overall usability are what I love most.

Cons

I don't have any real cons to mention. Even when they do run into an issue, you can sign up for text alerts and they quickly let you know a problem has been reported and is being worked on. I have used it for two years and only remember getting around 10 to 15 alerts in that entire time. Once the issue is fixed, they send another update. That level of communication is exactly what users need and I really appreciate it.

Price is very fair

Pros

Getting a professional, working website online with Squarespace takes very little time which is probably its biggest advantage. The platform is very user friendly and within minutes you can have a site that looks professional and functions well. Pricing is fair too and being able to register your domain and email through them adds great value. The templates are well-designed and dependable, even if they are not the most vibrant or colorful.

Cons

It covers a good range of basic features but anyone wanting a platform packed with advanced extras may feel limited here. It seems more geared toward beginners or people who do not need complete control over customization on their site.

fantastic drag and drop website builder

Pros

Building a professional looking website with this tool is very easy and it comes with plenty of extra features you can grow into as your business expands. The newer drag and drop design tools make the whole process feel very simple and interactive. Best of all there's no need for any coding to create a clean, impressive site.

Cons

The only downside is that it can feel a bit expensive for a solo business owner especially if you need the e-commerce features.

stunning templates for storefronts

Pros

It really stands out in the website builder space because of its design quality and the distinctive look of its prebuilt templates especially for anyone who needs a truly gorgeous storefront or landing page.

Cons

Some parts of it feel confusing and it can be hard to tweak or experiment with especially when customizing content or adjusting webpage flows. On top of that the limited variety of plugins can be a drawback.

powerful templates and branding tools

Pros

Squarespace has some of the best site-building tools and templates I have seen on the market. It also includes extra features like logo creation that add a lot of value and even though I have not used it myself, it also offers an online store builder that really rounds out the platform.

Cons

It's one of the more expensive options out there and connecting external domains isn't as quick or easy as it should be.
