“clean templates and quick setup”
Pros
Squarespace works well for what I need as a website builder and is easy to manage. Plus the designs and templates are clean, simple and fit what most users are looking for. The editing tools are also quick to pick up and don't take much guidance to learn.
Cons
More advanced customization is where it gets difficult. Because the templates are fairly basic making changes beyond what's provided can be limiting, even for smaller website details. The editor still has room to improve and it helps to go in knowing that its sites usually stay fairly close to the built-in template style.

“flexible templates and packed features”
Pros
Since 2012 I have used Squarespace for all kinds of projects and most recently I built the main website for my piano studio with it. One thing I have consistently liked is the flexibility as you can start with one of their templates which are all really good, build the whole site with your own code or combine both approaches. The pricing has also been very reasonable and there are plenty of options for adding ecommerce, scheduling and other tools. It comes loaded with features but you're free to use only the ones you actually need.
Cons
The only part that has been a little frustrating at times is the scheduling through Acuity since it can be somewhat finicky to work with.

“No design skills needed”
Pros
Squarespace makes it possible to build really impressive websites even without any design background which is something I have genuinely appreciated.
Cons
My only real complaint is that I wish it were a bit more affordable.

“beautiful site with simple setup”
Pros
Getting my website up and running with Squarespace was pretty easy, even though I came in with zero background in web development which really says a lot. I regularly get tons of compliments on how my site looks from both patients and other mental health professionals.
Cons
The templates felt a bit limiting when it came to customizing the site exactly how I wanted. That said some of that could just be due to my own lack of experience since I don't have much prior skill in building websites.

“versatile templates for consistent branding”
Pros
One of Squarespace's strongest points is that the templates all work from the same core structure which makes customization much more practical. Once you get familiar with how that template system functions, you can build distinct designs for each client while still keeping the branding consistent across the entire site.
Cons
The stacking and snapping behavior could be a little less restrictive so there's more room for freeform design. That said it does seem like the upcoming update is starting to address this.

“fantastic templates and friendly design”
Pros
After using Squarespace for years, it's become one of my favorite website design platforms. The interface feels incredibly simple to work with and the huge selection of templates makes it easy to land on the right style for a site without putting in a ton of effort. Overall it's a very user friendly builder.
Cons
Like a lot of template based website builders, it can feel a bit limited if you need really advanced or highly detailed features. That hasn't been a problem in my case since I only need a simple website designer and nothing too elaborate but it could definitely be a downside for someone building something more complex.

“Good for first time websites”
Pros
Building my first website with Squarespace felt very user friendly. There's a lot to look at at first so it can seem a bit overwhelming but I really didn't run into any actual problems using it.
Cons
As a small business that's just getting started, I do wish there were more affordable pricing options while you're building your brand and trying to get your website out there.

“all in one storefront win”
Pros
Being able to update my webpage, change items and make edits all in one place has been incredibly convenient. It also gives real-time order updates and I can use the POS for in-person sales too. Having balances sent straight to my debit card makes everything even more efficient. It's really helpful to have all of these tools together in one system.
Cons
I have not run into any issues at this point. The website builder and overall tools have worked very well for what I need.

“Customizable software”
Pros
There are lots of customization options and the design is really appealing. It is user friendly and easy to use, even if you're just getting started.
Cons
The customization features and overall usability are strong but it would be better to see more pricing tiers available. I am not sure whether this already exists but adding a student discount or student plan would be a really nice option.

“Liked the clean UX”
Pros
The UX is user friendly so getting started doesn't take much effort. It's also simple to train other people on which helps a lot when more than one person needs to manage the site. There are plenty of options available and it works well whether you want to keep things basic or build something more advanced.
Cons

“helpful website builder guidance”
Pros
Jumping into website creation for the first time felt a lot less intimidating because the platform was very easy to use. It guides you through the process step by step and even though I didn't keep using it after the trial ended, I still picked up a few useful things along the way.
Cons
At first, I somehow got the impression that the whole platform was free but it turned out that only the trial was. Once I realized that, I decided to look into other options instead.

“design-rich builder with mobile control”
Pros
It offers tools that can work well for just about any type of business or website. It's user friendly, packed with modern design options and includes an online store for both digital and physical products. You also get inventory and shipping tracking and the fact that everything can be managed from a mobile phone makes it even more convenient.
Cons
The cost can be hard to justify for a startup or more casual business, even with the 14-day trial and the $100 Google Ads credit included in the $26/month Business Plan. Integrations also feel somewhat limited and support isn't very strong since there's no phone support at all, including for extensions or add-ons.

“versatile marketing and site builder”
Pros
Squarespace has been a great option for handling email marketing, website design and site building all in one place. It comes with really strong features that can be customized to achieve the exact results you want. I mostly use it for email campaigns and managing a small ecommerce website and it does the job absolutely well.
Cons
That said even though it's a very capable tool, the pricing feels a bit high compared with some other alternatives on the market.
