Pros

Squarespace made website building pretty easy. As instead of turning it into a complicated, time-consuming project, it gave me attractive design options that were also functional and practical for a small business site.

Cons

A few design features I wanted would have been nice to see or at least offered in a more professional form but it seemed like it hadn't developed them yet. The limited availability of third-party integrations was also a drawback.

Pros

After the price drop it still comes with the same wide range of page layouts social media tools and built-in options for people to purchase or donate directly on the site. They also offer domain registration through Squarespace which means there's no need to use a separate service.

Cons

Getting around the platform can be a bit confusing at times. The tutorial videos do help but there still isn't enough guidance when it comes to page design. On top of that you have to pay extra to unlock payment acceptance on your site which feels like a necessary feature if you want the site to seem credible.

Pros

Building a professional website with Squarespace doesn't require touching code which is a huge plus. The templates look refined and modern right from the start and they still give enough flexibility to tailor the design to fit different brands and styles.

Cons

A couple of drawbacks are worth keeping in mind. The pricing runs higher than some competing platforms which can be a concern for small businesses or personal websites. On top of that the third-party integration options are a bit limited so it may feel restrictive if you need very specific functionality.

Pros

We used it for my wife's boutique and keeping up with inventory was really easy. Also it handled both cash and card sales in a way that made sales tax reporting much easier when it was time to complete everything.

Cons

The sales tax side could be a bit finicky At times especially when trying to remove tax from items that weren't supposed to be taxed. Thankfully, a recent update seems to have improved that and made it a little more manageable now.

The AI tools are genuinely helpful for turning your ideas into something concrete. There's a lot of control over how your page looks and if you know how to code, you can take customization even further. It gives you the freedom to build your site the way you actually pictured it.

Cons

One frustrating part is how difficult they make it to transfer your domain to another provider. Domain registration through them also feels overpriced especially since there are cheaper options available elsewhere.

Pros

Running my business through Squarespace has been really helpful because I use it for more than just payment processing. It also lets me create contracts using their editable templates and my clients can e-sign them for free which adds a lot of value.

Cons

The part I am not a fan of is the payment processing fees and the website builder feels pretty basic since it doesn't offer a lot of features.

Pros

Squarespace is pretty simple to use and the amount of tutorials available makes it even easier to figure things out. Using it has helped us put together a website that looks modern and professional.

Cons

There are still a couple of things that could be better. One is that switching from the desktop version to the mobile version is not very user friendly and it almost looks like you have to rebuild each one separately. Another is that when uploading photos, I always need to resize them into much smaller file sizes first which adds an extra step.

Across more than four companies where I work, Squarespace has been a reliable tool for building and designing websites and landing pages without any hassle. On top of that it lets me host websites and email accounts and I can get into the cPanel from virtually anywhere on any device which makes managing everything really convenient.

Cons

I have been using it since 2018 and honestly I haven't run into any issue or bug that stayed unresolved for more than 24 hours.

Building a small business website with Squarespace is pretty easy, even without any background in web design, coding or site creation. The templates look professional and come with a nice range of features which made the whole process much less intimidating. I was also able to handle updates and edits on my own since the platform is fairly user-friendly. Another big plus is how naturally the email campaigns connect with my website, newsletter subscriber storage and the overall site design.

Cons

Even though it's clearly built for regular people to create and manage their own websites some of the customization options can feel a bit confusing. That said it seems to depend somewhat on which template you're using.

Honestly there wasn't anything positive that stood out to me. It was difficult to navigate, definitely not user-friendly and even dealing with customer support ended up being frustrating.

Also the interface is user-friendly and the drag and drop editor is user friendly enough to make creating and managing a website simple whether it's a basic blog or a more involved online store.

A few users mention that the customization can still feel somewhat limited when they want to fine-tune the site around very specific needs. On top of that its pricing can come across as expensive for smaller businesses which may make some people think twice before committing.

Launching a modern, visually engaging website with Squarespace was surprisingly fast and it really captures our mission well. Even without any technical background, we can keep the content updated ourselves which matters a lot for a nonprofit with limited time and resources. Compared with other platforms we tried especially Wix and WordPress which turned into a mess of plugins and constant updates it offers great value. Embeds are simple to add, the integrations we need for forms and analytics are there and the site works well on mobile too.

Cons

One area that really lets us down is the Events tool especially for nonprofits running regular programs. There's no proper time zone support which causes confusion for people joining virtually and while a custom CSS fix can help, that really shouldn't be necessary. The absence of recurring events is also frustrating. Since we run weekly workshops, we have to copy each event manually every time. Our workaround was creating a permanent Programs page and embedding a calendar from an outside service like Google Calendar but for a premium platform, that feels like something we shouldn't have to do.

Honestly I haven't run into any real issues with this product. It feels reliable, secure and I cannot think of a time when it failed to meet expectations or performed slowly.

Building a modern website with Squarespace is very easy thanks to its drag and drop editor and it only takes a few clicks to get things looking good even if you are not a technical person. There is also a wide selection of plugins and extensions available, plus plenty of customization options to shape the site exactly the way you want. On top of that its eCommerce features are powerful and work really well.

Cons

One downside is that customer support is not always reachable by phone which can be really inconvenient when you need urgent help.

The platform is also very user-friendly for just about anyone and the selection of beautifully designed templates is one of the things I like most.
