“Good tool to start with”

Pros

It is easy to build a professional website with this tool and the templates give us a strong starting point right away. The platform is also simple to learn and get comfortable with and one thing I especially like is how the theme settings can be applied across the whole site without needing to update every page one by one.

Cons

One downside is that it still seems to have fewer integrations than other website builders like WordPress. That really limits how much you can do with it and cuts down on the range of ways you can use the platform.

Pros

Squarespace doesn't require any coding knowledge that's one of its biggest advantages. The builder is also user friendly and easy to use so creating a website is a much better experience overall.

Cons

One issue came up when we first started using it. It was probably something that could have been resolved quickly with a phone call but phone support isn't offered.

Coming from photography rather than web design, I needed something simple to help me put my work online. After trying to build a site myself and getting nowhere, this turned out to be a simple way to showcase my portfolio in a style that keeps the attention on the images instead of the website design. That was exactly what I was looking for.

Cons

One limitation came up with the way I present my work. I create a lot of diptych and triptych sets and the platform did not handle that very well. I ended up relying on third-party software to make those layouts work.

Getting a site up and running is pretty easy since you can choose from ready-made templates instead of building everything from the ground up.

Things get a bit more complicated when you want to move beyond the default designs and customize the layout in a more specific way.

There's a really wide selection of designs and that's one of the best parts. It offers plenty of content options for businesses, along with lots of tools to build and enhance websites that look professional and visually impressive. Overall it matches what we need as users very well.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the client subscription service. Having to pay extra for that doesn't feel right especially when the overall pricing is already on the high side. In my opinion, that feature should already be included.

Pros

Squarespace has worked really well for building parcel tax and bond measure sites especially since each one only runs for up to six months. The platform is easy to use and I can put these websites together without needing any coding knowledge. Whenever I have reached out through email or chat, customer support has responded quickly which has been really helpful. The pricing seems reasonable too and I wouldn't switch to another competitor.

Cons

At the beginning, being new to the platform, I felt like phone support would have been more useful when I needed help. That said I soon realized their online support team handled my issues quickly so it ended up not being much of a problem.

It works well when the goal is to build a simple website without needing custom functionality.

Trouble started once we needed to modify the templates because the customization options turned out to be fairly limited. On top of that when the platform is missing certain features, there's no real way to build them yourself so if your project needs anything more advanced, you end up stuck.

Squarespace is like one of the most user friendly website builders out there and the time-saving templates make it possible to put together a wide range of websites in just a few minutes.

Cons

I do wish it offered more flexibility for uploading custom fonts and it would be better if I didn't have to resize every photo just to fit the platform's limitations.

Pros

Setting up pages, adding forms, publishing blogs and using the platform in general has been really easy. Also it is very user friendly and I also have the option to add custom code when needed. I can even let clients book appointments or pay online for passes and classes which is a big plus.

Cons

The downside is the cost of the business template I am using and if I wanted to switch to another one, I'd end up losing all of my content.

Pros

Building my first website felt much less intimidating with Squarespace. The platform is very user friendly, simple to work with and it gave me a good starting point with its templates. Customizing the site was also very easy which made the whole process much more enjoyable.

Cons

One thing I would change is the pricing option while you're still building your site. It would be better if there were a lower-cost plan for the setup stage before the website is actually published.

One thing I'd still love to see is a simpler way to set up recurring events especially ones that happen every week or every month.

Getting started with Squarespace takes almost no effort and using it is very user friendly right away. There's barely any learning curve which makes building a website much less intimidating. The design options available are really well done and give sites a professional look, to the point that most people wouldn't know whether you built it yourself or hired a designer.

The tradeoff is that it can feel a bit limiting creatively. Even though the platform does a lot well, there are still some missing pieces. It's not the best fit for anyone wanting a highly detailed website or very advanced features.
