Simple setup win!

Pros

The tutorials and overall simplicity were a huge plus. Compared with other tools we've tried, Squarespace has been by far the most easy to work with. Another thing we absolutely love is the wide variety of templates they offer across the board.

Cons

Even though we really love the templates, I'd still like to see more flexibility when it comes to customization so the designs can feel more unique and tailored to your own style.

powerful website tools that scale

Pros

Getting a professional website live with Squarespace is very easy and the platform still gives you plenty of flexibility. There are lots of ways to tailor your workflow, marketing, customer communication orders and more. It's a powerful platform that can keep up as your business expands.

Cons

To really take advantage of what it can do, you pretty much have to move up to a business plan. The basic version feels limited and is not much more than a static one-page site.

beautiful templates and simple setup

Pros

It is simple and using it day to day doesn't take much effort. The site templates look really polished and customizing them is pretty simple since most of it works with drag and drop so there's no need to know code unless you want to make extra tweaks with it.

Cons

At times it seems a bit too limited. Certain assets need awkward workarounds if you want to change them and you're mostly restricted to the options it gives you so it doesn't offer the same flexibility you'd get from something like WordPress. My biggest frustration is that you cannot switch templates on the fly anymore. If you want to make a major design change, you have to create an entirely new site and then contact customer support to move your payment plan over which is a real hassle.

website building feels effortless

Pros

Building a website always sounded like a tedious task to me but Squarespace completely changed that impression and has been very easy to use.

Cons

The pricing feels a little steep for someone who doesn't use it regularly and that can make casual users hesitate before trying it and eventually becoming more committed over time.

flexible scheduling that scales

Pros

After testing a handful of calendar tools, including the one built into my website platform, I ended up returning to Acuity/Squarespace Scheduling because it was the simplest way to get exactly what I needed done. Another plus is that it offers room to expand as my business grows.

Cons

I am currently connecting it with another platform and it's a bit frustrating that I cannot adjust the font size to match the rest of the elements on my website.

Liked the layout

Pros

Putting together a simple personal website with Squarespace is very easy. Its drag and drop tools make designing the pages and arranging the layout really simple.

Cons

Once you want to go beyond the built-in template options, you'll need at least a bit of coding knowledge to customize it further.

reliable setup for small business

Pros

Built with small businesses in mind, this has been a really dependable option. I have been using both Square and Squarespace for a few years now and things consistently work without issues. There are a few online features I wish were stronger but for getting a store set up, Square has been excellent.

Cons

On the online and website side, I'd still like to see more choices and broader integrations. It would also be helpful to have additional bulk editing capabilities for products and items.

affordable features that deliver

Pros

Getting this app at such an affordable price has been a huge plus especially with how many strong features it includes. Compared to other website builders, Squarespace gave us everything we needed and even more, all without putting pressure on our budget.

Cons

We really have not run into any problems with the platform. The only thing that would make it even better is having a wider selection of templates to choose from.

Strong tool to use

Pros

Squarespace comes with strong templates which is perfect when you don't want to spend a lot of time tweaking layouts. It makes it possible to build a really polished website in a short amount of time. I also appreciated being able to make custom, proprietary layout adjustments to better fit the specific needs of my site.

Cons

One thing I wish was better is the UI especially when it comes to drag and drop editing. A few of the changes I needed weren't available through the interface so I had to rely on code to make those adjustments.

clean builder, limited integrations

Pros

Designing the layout and building the kind of website I want is pretty easy. The interface is simple and the drag and drop setup makes the whole process more manageable.

Cons

Where it falls short is integrations. I needed to connect it to a loyalty program but the API settings didn't support dynamic values so that wasn't possible.

stylish templates and polished sites

Pros

Squarespace offers plenty of attractive, user friendly templates that make it simple to build a professional looking website. It's also convenient that you can buy your domain directly through the platform.

Cons

At the time I was using it, I needed stronger ecommerce features and the platform didn't quite handle social media sales connectivity the way I needed it to.

versatile and highly functional

Pros

I have used this website builder for a variety of projects and it has been really versatile every time. It offers a lot of functionality while still being simple to work with and use.

Cons

At times the building blocks feel a bit confusing and I cannot always drag elements exactly where I want them to go.

stylish templates and flexible plans

Pros

Building a website with Squarespace feels very simple and the templates available are really aesthetic too. I also appreciate the wide range of pricing plans if you decide to go premium. It's not just for online stores either since you can also use it for a personal CV or portfolio site.

Cons

I don't have any complaints because I really love it though if you only use the free version, you won't get a custom domain.

stylish builder for online sales

Pros

What I appreciate most about this software is how design-friendly it is. It's simple for pretty much anyone to use, whether they have a design background or not. It also works really well for commerce and handling order processing.

Cons

My biggest disappointment with this software is the limited SEO customization. It just doesn't measure up to WordPress in that area.

stylish templates and useful features

Pros

The templates are fun to work with and simple to customize, with interesting designs and features built in. There are plenty of tools available to help people create the kind of website that fits what they need.

Cons

It felt pretty similar to other website builders I have tried so in the end I just stayed with the platform I already knew best.

clients love the editing control

Pros

Using this product has been amazing overall. It's very user friendly and my clients really enjoy working with it. One thing they especially appreciate is being able to make their own edits whenever they need to.

Cons

There's still room to add more design elements and it would be even better if the premium templates offered to clients were designed at a higher level.

drag and drop website win

Pros

Building pages with the drag and drop tools is really easy and Squarespace is incredibly simple to learn and use. I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

Nothing negative comes to mind right now. I have even been recommending it to all of my clients for their website needs.

quick to learn and manageable

Pros

Squarespace is pretty easy to use. Anyone with even a bit of tech knowledge will probably find it easier to use than many other website builders. I only started using it within the last year during the pandemic to help coworkers manage their workload and learning how everything works has felt very doable.

Cons

A few features have been confusing when it comes to figuring out where or how to edit them. One example was the red banner at the top of the page which took quite a while to track down because it wasn't located in the usual place. With most elements, you can just hover over them and click edit but that banner doesn't work that way so it threw me off a bit. My colleague eventually figured out where it was.

sleek templates and flexible builder

Pros

Building a semi-custom website with Squarespace is very easy thanks to its drag and drop editor. The included templates are also a really strong starting point and make the whole setup process much easier.

Cons

One downside is that the editor can get extremely slow depending on the computer you're using. That becomes frustrating during editing since frequent freezing can really hurt your productivity.
