Has user friendly tools for every site

Pros

Across all of our websites, Squarespace has been the platform we rely on. The tools are user friendly, are simple to work with and make it easy for us to keep our sites updated on a regular basis.

Cons

One issue we still run into is that page upload speed can be pretty slow which sometimes interferes with our ability to access certain Google tools.

fast website launch for my llc

Pros

Without knowing any coding, I was still able to get a website up and running for my LLC pretty quickly.

Cons

Overall my experience has been very positive. The only thing I'd change is the number of emails that keep showing up in my inbox.

fantastic site builder for seo

Pros

Building a high quality website is incredibly easy with Squarespace and it performs well on Google even if you have no coding background at all.

Cons

The search feature still feels like an area that could use some improvement.

beautiful templates and strong seo

Pros

Squarespace has really impressed me with its beautiful, customizable templates that help create professional websites and portfolios that build credibility and attract clients. The drag and drop interface is packed with features, yet it still feels simple enough for users at any skill level to work with without needing training. It also comes with excellent SEO tools which makes it a strong option for improving website search visibility.

Cons

It's an all in one platform with excellent features and at the moment I haven't run into any downsides.

Fairly simple setup

Pros

Using Squarespace has been really convenient especially because it's easy to work with and comes with a lot of templates to choose from.

Cons

There are still a couple of downsides, though. The customization options feel a bit limited and the editing process can be somewhat difficult at times.

Way too simple to setup

Pros

The interface is very user friendly and the templates look fantastic. Putting together a visually impressive website is pretty easy too.

Cons

I do wish the templates offered a little more flexibility. There are times when I want finer control over edits but the block-based page structure can limit how precisely I am able to place elements.

Comes with plenty of templates

Pros

Building a website with Squarespace is really easy and since so many people use it, there are lots of helpful resources available whenever you run into trouble. The platform is simple to navigate and the wide range of templates gives you plenty of good options for creating a good-looking site.

Cons

The templates don't always include everything you need and because so many people rely on them, it can be tough to make your website feel truly unique. The AI builder also isn't very useful unless your business fits a more mainstream category.

full control, frustrating editor

Pros

Having that much control over the website is a big plus and it's nice being able to change whatever we want whenever we need to.

Cons

Actually editing the site is incredibly difficult. You can set up a layout you're happy with, then publish your updates and suddenly everything moves around. It's really frustrating to deal with and not very user-friendly. It also takes quite a bit of trial and error to figure out how to add new sections, text boxes, images and other elements.

beautiful templates and simple design

Pros

Designing with Squarespace is really easy. Plus it offers plenty of user-friendly templates and there's a great range of options for all kinds of websites.

Cons

I do wish it allowed more flexibility when placing text and other elements. That would make the platform even better.

helpful support

Pros

Beautiful templates are one of Squarespace's biggest strengths and the drag‑and‑drop builder is very user‑friendly. It's also ready for e‑commerce which makes it a reliable option for selling online. The customer support has been amazing whenever we needed help.

Cons

There's no free plan and the starting price is $16 which can still feel a bit high. Third-party integrations are somewhat limited and the editor can be a little confusing at times.

versatile design platform

Pros

Squarespace has been an awesome platform for website design and it handles a wide range of needs really well. It works even better when paired with Squarespace's other tools solutions and products which makes the whole ecosystem feel very complete.

Cons

The ecommerce features for digital products and services are really strong but when it comes to selling physical products, there are still a few minor limitations that haven't been addressed yet.

powerful drag-and-drop builder

Pros

Out of all the website builders I have used, Squarespace has been the most capable by far. It lets you build sites with a drag and drop setup so there's no need to know any coding at all.

Cons

Since I began using it in 2020, I haven't run into any issues, even with only basic website development skills.

flexible tools for non-coders

Pros

There are tons of options and the platform is very user-friendly. I don't know how to code and had very little web design experience but I was still able to build new sections and create what I needed once the initial design had already been set up by someone else.

Cons

One frustrating moment was when I updated a header on a single page and it ended up changing across every page. I couldn't undo it myself and had to ask the person who originally set up the site to fix it.

Templates that shine

Pros

Right out of the box the templates look fantastic and professionally made. The whole platform seems reliable so putting together something that looks impressive doesn't take much effort.

Cons

The downside is how complex it is. Also there is very little room to customize the design and the moment you try to move away from the exact layout they provide, things get complicated fast.

Really like the helpful integrations

Pros

Getting a site up and running with Squarespace is very easy. You can start from a template if that fits your needs or build your own site without much hassle. Since the platform is so widely used, there are tons of online resources that make the design process easier to figure out. They also offer domain purchases which makes it a convenient one-stop shop for website needs. On top of that it connects well with plenty of third-party tools like Google Analytics and Meta Pixel so setting those up in Squarespace is much simpler than with many other website builders.

Cons

One thing that holds me back is that it is priced on the higher end compared to other website builders and hosting options.

stunning templates that stand out

Pros

Their ready to use templates are gorgeous and make putting a website together really simple. They also don't have that dull, cookie-cutter look that a lot of generic templates tend to have.

Cons

The AI builder feels a bit limited. If you're working in a very specific niche, it doesn't offer much help since it relies heavily on preset categories and most of my clients' businesses are too unique for the AI tools to be useful during the design process.

stunning websites in one place

Pros

Building professional, visually impressive websites with Squarespace doesn't require any coding which has been a big plus for me. It also keeps hosting and domain services together in one central place so managing everything is much more convenient.

Cons

My only issue is that it doesn't offer a free plan especially since it isn't an open-source digital experience platform.
