Ordering food and other items through this product has been really easy. It has made shopping much more convenient and simple to handle.

At times the software feels a bit slow while processing and refreshing the page can occasionally cause you to lose your progress.

Pros

It covers just about everything you'd want for managing your online presence in one place so it's hard to be disappointed. It takes care of online selling, custom email addresses and even something as simple as running a blog page. The website builder is great overall though slightly confusing at times but nothing serious enough to ruin the experience. It also includes the security features you'd expect which helps keep your site protected from attackers and scammers.

Cons

A few of the premium features feel like they need a starter-tier option instead of being offered in an all-or-nothing package. The calendar feature is one example where that kind of entry-level plan would be really useful.

Squarespace gives anyone a place to build and design a website for just about any purpose. It's especially valuable for small businesses that want a polished online presence.

Cons

If you're completely new to website building, you might still need a little guidance at first but their IT team is always ready and willing to help.

Pros

Getting a professional site up and running with this product was pretty easy. Even without much prior experience, we were able to set everything up, make it look polished and do it without spending a lot of money. The email marketing tool is also simple to work with. Overall it includes all the core website features a small business would typically need.

Cons

The one downside is the limited customization. The template-based approach definitely helps keep things user friendly but you're mostly restricted to working within those templates. If you have a background in design software, that can feel a bit limiting and frustrating. The templates do look very nice although sometimes the final result can still feel a little too templated.

this software was a big disappointment. Without video tutorials, most people and even someone with experience like me would struggle to build a website with it.

Cons

After working as a Small Business Consultant and using around six different website platforms, this has easily been the hardest one to deal with. I couldn't even get the page sizing right without stopping to watch a video which definitely doesn't match the claim of being user friendly. In the end, I advised my client to move to a different platform.

Building a website is really easy with Squarespace. It comes with all the tools needed to get started and there's a strong selection of templates to choose from. After picking one, you can customize the content however you want to match your specific needs.

Cons

The tools, features and options are very user friendly. I was able to design a website with this builder without running into any drawbacks or technical problems.

It's simple to understand, simple to put into practice and there's a huge amount of documentation available. There are also plenty of YouTube tutorials which makes getting past the learning curve much easier.

Cons

At times some plugins are a bit tricky to work with. And if you're aiming for something highly customized, you'll need to know at least a little coding or be willing to learn it.

This has been a really good option for getting a startup business off the ground. There are plenty of themes and plugins to choose from which makes putting a site together much more convenient.

Cons

The biggest limitation shows up when you want to create a more complex website since the platform can feel restrictive. For that kind of project, I'd probably recommend using WordPress or Magento instead.

It can help you build a fantastic-looking website with a very polished feel. The design templates are strong and the overall design approach is thoughtfully put together which makes it easier to create a site that looks really impressive. There is a bit of a tradeoff though...

That tradeoff is flexibility. The platform has some limitations when it comes to customizing the design however you want and because certain rules are there to preserve the visual style, you do not get complete freedom to drag and drop elements wherever you want.

Building a website with Squarespace feels very approachable especially for someone who doesn't know how to code. The interface is polished and user friendly and there are plenty of design choices to match the look and style of whatever you want to promote or showcase.

Cons

Its pricing was the part I didn't care for. A lot of the better features were locked behind upgrades so I had to pay more to get the options I wanted. Compared with free website builders like Wix or WordPress, it didn't feel like the best value.

Building a site with Squarespace has been really easy and the part I like most is being able to add features to my website without needing any coding knowledge.

The downside is that some features and functions feel limited. There were a few things I wanted to include on my website that the available templates just couldn't support.

The fonts and overall website design have a really polished, stylish feel. The templates look professional especially compared with other platforms I checked out that either felt too childish or were overly complicated to set up. Another thing I appreciate is being able to handle most edits right from the app instead of needing to be on a laptop all the time.

Cons

One thing that does bother me is not really having full ownership or control over everything built on the website. A lot of software companies seem to be getting more political and making decisions that can feel illogical at times. My team and company are not involved in anything political but it still stays in the back of our minds that at some point we may need to move away from Squarespace because they hold too much power over the website and servers. It can feel like all it takes is a new CEO with certain views or even a social media issue that spirals without accountability and a company's online presence could be put at risk. What we do is not controversial at all but we have seen other marketing firms run into strange problems like that with Squarespace and similar competitors. As our business grows and becomes more profitable, the long-term plan is probably to separate from it because of that lack of control over our own website and servers.

It's a CMS that comes at a higher price while offering fewer features.

Running three Squarespace sites for my photography and multimedia businesses plus one for my personal artist portfolio has given me plenty of time with the platform and it has definitely gotten better over the years. The template selection has improved a lot and there's much more room creatively than there used to be. One of the biggest benefits is that you're not locked into a template as-is since you can tweak the design and even add custom CSS when you want more advanced customization. There are also lots of third-party plugins available if you don't want to build those changes yourself which can take the already good starter templates even further. On the business side, Squarespace includes built-in SEO along with marketing features like newsletters, a scheduling calendar for client appointments if you run a service-based business and e-commerce options with very well-designed online store templates.

Cons

One thing that still seems limiting is how much the selling side caters mainly to English speaking and North American businesses. If your company is outside the US, there still isn't a built-in way to accept many local payment gateways for selling products or services. In a lot of EU countries, customers prefer paying through their local bank payment systems instead of using credit cards. Compared with some other website builders, that missing option stands out because being able to turn on local payment gateway support directly within the platform is still not something it offers out of the box.

Starting out as a beginner I picked Squarespace because it looked simple to use and it quickly became clear that the platform is also very capable. The interface made it easy to build a really impressive website that works well across different platforms. Overall it's a very good tool.

Cons

The only downside is that the monthly cost for a basic website sits at the higher end of the pricing range.

Being able to manage and update my website while I am out and about is something I really appreciate with this app. I have not made use of every business or sales feature since I am selling content rather than physical products but the analytics tracking is still very useful. The marketing tools are convenient too and they're simple to work with.

Cons

From time to time, I ran into issues when trying to make updates to my site from my phone. I have also come across other apps that are completely free and handle what I need just as well.

Putting together a basic website with Squarespace is very easy. If you already have your images, text and a simple layout in mind, the editor makes the design process really manageable. A few parts take a little time to understand but overall it works mostly through drag and drop, guides you step by step and usually helps the site look polished without much effort.

Cons

The biggest frustration for me was not having full control over the code because those limits sometimes got in the way. I also ran into problems when trying to work on SEO features since the lack of code access makes certain changes difficult or impossible. There are paid upgrades that unlock more of this but once you have to pay extra, it starts to lose some of its value as a lower-cost option.

It's not really built for professional designers. If you're aiming for a more advanced, high-end website, the available templates don't offer that level of functionality. On top of that you have to pay a monthly fee to publish your site.

The built-in resources are incredibly helpful for just about every feature you can think of, there are plenty of integrations available and it gives you all the tools needed to build a successful site.

Cons

The design process can feel overwhelming at times and some templates are definitely harder to work with than others. If you want the best possible result, you'll probably need some custom CSS and you may also end up hiring someone for SEO help or more advanced custom work.
