“flexible sections and quick setup”
Pros
Getting a website up and running was really easy and the section layout options give me enough flexibility to build the page the way I want.
Cons
Resizing can be a bit tricky at times but it's still manageable to work through.

“clean designs and reliable performance”
Pros
Using Squarespace has been incredibly easy to use. It consistently runs really well and the biggest win for both me and my clients is how editable every design is while still looking very clean. A lot of websites end up feeling cluttered but their layouts stay simple, polished and organized.
Cons
They recently changed the way each website is edited and that definitely created a bit of a learning curve for us. Still, our team took the time to work through it and whenever we hit a wall, their support was quick to help.

“stylish templates and beginner friendly”
Pros
Squarespace has built a strong presence with its marketing especially on YouTube and that's actually what introduced me to web design in the first place. The platform is very user friendly which made getting started feel approachable. Its templates are on par with Wix and the two really feel like strong competitors in the website builder space.
Cons
I do wish there were more customization options since the template system can feel a bit restrictive.

“beautiful site without coding”
Pros
As someone who doesn't build websites professionally, I was still able to put together a really polished-looking site without needing much technical knowledge or experience.
Cons
Every now and then a few parts feel less user friendly than they should be and can take some digging to locate. While editing pages, it isn't always obvious where I am supposed to go right away. That said to be fair, that's probably pretty common with a lot of more complex platforms.

“clean design with useful integrations”
Pros
The clean design really stands out and the user experience and interface seem user friendly overall. Also it integrates well with popular e-commerce tools which adds a lot of value.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the navigation took some time and setting up a drafting and posting workflow wasn't immediate because some of the terms used aren't especially user friendly.

“fantastic ecommerce site builder”
Pros
Squarespace feels like one of the simplest ways to build a website. I have especially enjoyed the ecommerce tools, including more advanced features like sending emails to customers about abandoned carts.
Cons
There's nothing major to complain about. Every now and then though, editing an existing page or adding new content can be a little tricky.

“user friendly website launch”
Pros
It is easy to use and even showing end users how to use it doesn't take much effort. The platform is very user friendly and the guides are well written, with some of them even including video walkthroughs. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to launch a website with e-commerce features quickly, without dealing with the hassle of maintaining web software.
Cons
The promotional tie-in with Google Workspace was a bit confusing and I had to contact support to sort things out but it wasn't a major issue.

“stylish builder with polished UX”
Pros
Compared with Wix and Weebly, Squarespace feels much more visually creative and engaging. The builder interface is also simpler to move around in, without as many awkward UX issues or little stumbles.
Cons
The pricing starts to feel a bit steep once you begin adding extra features. They do tend to nickel-and-dime you when it comes to add-ons.

“stylish templates for small teams”
Pros
Even people with limited design skills can put together something polished with Squarespace. The templates are simple to customize and being able to add attractive assets makes it a strong option for small teams or solo users who want to build a site they can actually feel proud of.
Cons
That flexibility really only goes as far as the built-in templates though. If you want something genuinely one-of-a-kind, it probably won't get you there. It's often pretty obvious when a site was made with it which isn't automatically a bad thing but the final result usually doesn't feel especially unique.

“user friendly site builder”
Pros
Starting out with no web design experience, I was still able to build my site without much trouble using Squarespace. It feels very user friendly and made the whole process simple for me.
Cons
One thing I don't like is the limited control over using different fonts across the website since I have to go back and modify the core three fonts each time.

“polished sites with no hassle”
Pros
With Squarespace, it's really difficult to end up with a bad-looking website. The platform is simple enough for just about anyone to use and the design looks polished right away without much effort.
Cons
The price is definitely on the high side. When you compare it with other platforms that are free, the monthly fee can be tough to justify but if you want something professional, simple and don't have much time to spare, it's a great fit.

“helpful support and quick setup”
Pros
It was easy to launch everything and it works with GoDaddy, even if the integration isn't completely smooth since that's where our site was hosted before. The customer support has also been excellent.
Cons
Reworking the templates can be a bit frustrating at times. Some template sections are marked as required which can limit how much you're able to customize them for your specific needs.

“stylish portfolio builder”
Pros
My personal portfolio runs on Squarespace and the platform has been really simple to work with. There are plenty of design options available which makes it easy to give the site a polished, stylish look.
Cons
After using it for a few years, it seems like most of the updates have focused more on layout changes than on adding functionality that would help users expand and develop more advanced website features.

Pros
It gives your site a very polished, professional appearance which is especially helpful if you're not a very technical or design-savvy user.

“clean platform with stellar support”
Pros
After years of juggling GoDaddy and WordPress, moving everything over to Squarespace was such a relief. The platform looks modern, visually appealing and very user friendly. I run a media and video production nonprofit and our website needs have changed almost every year since 2013 as the way people interact with online content keeps shifting. I spent a long time trying to constantly adjust our site to keep up but it made that whole process feel much more organized. It gives me the simple core website I need Right now while still offering plenty of customization options when I want to expand, without the risk of breaking the entire site like I did many times with WordPress. I moved both our .com and .org sites from a WordPress setup on GoDaddy and I couldn't be happier with the support Squarespace provided during the transition. Their customer service was incredibly helpful in making sure everything lined up properly.
Cons
One thing on my wish list is a bigger template selection, maybe 15 to 20 more options especially ones built specifically for video galleries. Since my organization centers around storytelling through video, I would really love a template designed for collecting and showcasing videos in a more intentional way. Right now I can make a photo gallery or blog work and adapt it for that purpose and it does the job well enough but I'd still prefer a template that is truly video-focused by design.

“beautiful templates and simplicity”
Pros
The templates are beautiful and the platform is very simple and easy to use. Even though a competitor costs only half as much, I am still satisfied with Squarespace overall.
Cons
The biggest downside is the price. It's costing me twice what a competitor charges and some important features are locked behind the cheapest plan. Because of that, I have had no real option but to upgrade to a more expensive package.

“beautiful websites for anyone”
Pros
Building a really professional website doesn't take a massive amount of time, energy or technical skill with Squarespace. It puts a professional looking site within reach for pretty much anyone.
Cons
At the same time, it can feel a bit limiting if you don't have more advanced technical knowledge. If you can write custom code, you can tweak almost anything but people choosing it for simplicity will probably run into certain missing features or functionality.

“flexible pages without coding”
Pros
Making a fully functional websites in Squarespace is very easy thanks to the drag and drop setup and the site can be updated, expanded and refined over time without much hassle. When clients need marketing landing pages on their own URL, this is the one platform that handles that natively in a very clean way. We end up needing developers much less often when putting together or updating a site here. Forms, email capture, slideshows and similar features are built right into the platform so there's usually no need to rely on a pile of plugins. Another big plus is that the editor shows the actual page as you work so everything you drag, type and position is visible in a true visual editing view. For anyone who doesn't code and prefers moving sections around, adjusting colors, spacing, padding and other design elements themselves, Squarespace offers a lot of flexibility while still being very user friendly.
Cons
One thing that takes a bit of practice is how photography scales between desktop and mobile. It does support both but sometimes you have to be a little creative with the image focal point or adjust the original image size so it looks right on desktop without appearing oversized on mobile. This tends to be less noticeable with wide banner images and more of a challenge with smaller inset photos. The only other issue we've had is that the interface is approachable enough that a client once went in and changed colors and photos we would have preferred stayed untouched. It was simple enough to fix but it's something to keep in mind and worth setting up a process around especially since other platforms usually intimidate clients enough that they don't make those kinds of edits on their own.

“flexible templates and quick setup”
Pros
Dropping content blocks onto pages and picking from the available templates makes Squarespace very easy to use, even for someone without much experience.
Cons
Getting photos and blocks resized to look exactly the way I want can be frustrating and keeping template layouts consistent between desktop and mobile views doesn't work as well as it should.
