Excellent interface and visibility

Pros

After I finish setting up the system, I find the interface very easy to navigate. Posting information is simple too and running reports is likewise easy. Since everything is stamped with both time and user, I can quickly see who did what and when. That level of visibility is excellent for keeping everyone accountable.

Cons

It would be helpful if the reporting options were more comprehensive because I often have to stitch together several reports to get the data I need. They do offer more consolidated report capabilities but those come at an extra cost, so unless I am willing to pay more I end up exporting and combining multiple reports myself.

Used to be great but not anymore :/

Pros

I truly appreciated the efficiency, stability, and reporting capabilities of its platform.

Cons

As a billing company with 300 employees, we put a lot of money into AdvancedMD, but we often have difficulty getting quick help when we run into problems. It frequently takes days to get a response, which makes it hard for us to serve our clients effectively.

Cons

A system with great support team

Pros

I must say that I received outstanding support from the product development team and the scheduling features are very advanced.

Cons

A lot to love even after ten years

Pros

After using this for over ten years, I can genuinely say there is a lot I love about it. From managing appointments to handling claims and posting via ERA, all the way to the manual posting windows, these features are precisely what most doctors offices rely on to help increase their revenue.

Cons

The most recent cloud-based updates have been thw worst. Icons were rearranged into a vertical layout with pop-up behavior and I preferred the older UI much more. So I am hoping they address this soon and bring back the aspects I liked best.

Very difficult to use

Pros

I do not have any positive feedback to share from my perspective.

Cons

It is very difficult to use and the clearinghouse does not function properly. Also, the support team is moving at a glacial pace to assist us. Our practice has not made any money for nearly a month.

Not really that advanced

Pros

When it comes to navigating the system, the process of reviewing charts is easy to understand. The layout is designed in such a way that I can quickly locate the information I need without any confusion, making the entire experience quite pleasant.

Cons

I wish there were additional shortcuts available instead of requiring me to click multiple times to access specific sections of the record.

A well-integrated EMR/PM software

Pros

Over the past 6 years I have working on AdvanceMD for my solo medical practice. It is a well integrated solution that includes all the necessary software, such as PM, Reporting, Messaging, Faxing, Patient Portal, EMR and E-prescribing. What I like the most is its high level of customization.

Cons

Although the EMR offers several templates, creating custom ones from scratch can take a lot of time. Plus, generating finished notes from these templates can be challenging. However, once everything is set up correctly, it functions well.

Endless billing issues

Pros

Learning the system was very easy, and it integrates easily with e-scripts and billing.

Cons

Even six months after I retired, they are still billing me despite my numerous calls to resolve the issue. The files required for coding purposes are nearly useless as well.

Not really happy with the upgrades as it comes with errors

Pros

While AdvancedMD is undoubtedly an excellent software, I have noticed a slight decrease in attention to detail as the company continues to grow. As the business expands, there seems to be a minor shift in focus, which has not gone unnoticed.

Cons

Over the last two months, we have spent countless hours trying to contact tech support about ongoing software issues and disruptions. Despite the significant loss of productivity and revenue, we have continued to work with your team and use the software. However, we are experiencing a steady decline in software functionality, which is having a huge impact on our daily operations and revenue. This situation is unacceptable. According to our contractual agreement, we should at least receive basic connectivity in exchange for the substantial monthly payments we make. It has become common for some system or function to be unavailable after every patch or release. We frequently hear complaints about speed degradation. Our practice, patients, and staff are suffering as a result, leading to a significant loss of our reputation and financial setbacks for the practice.

A flexible EHR system

Pros

It is extremely customizable to fit my practice and specialization. Our account representative has been outstanding over the years, effectively addressing our needs and consistently finding solutions.

Cons

The system provides several different methods and processes to complete the same task. While this can be beneficial because it allows people to work in ways that suit their thinking styles and still achieve the desired results, it also creates challenges for training and maintaining consistent processes. The variety of approaches for a single task can make it difficult to ensure everyone is on the same page.

The best all-round medical software with alot of templates

Pros

It is very easy to manage documentation, and the templates are thorough and cover a lot of details.

Cons

Easy transfers and user-friendly scheduling

Pros

I find that it transfers data from the EMR my office uses with ease, letting me build patient charts, scan attachments and upload files without any problem. Also the scheduling features are user friendly and highly adjustable for different codes and insurance plans.

Cons

Often, I end up clicking through numerous tabs to access certain functions. For instance printing a schedule requires me to go through at least three separate tabs. I also wish there was a better hover preview when titles are long because the current hover option is quite limited.

Working with customer service was fantastic

Pros

The implementation and use of AdvancedMD are quite simple. The tech support team has been very helpful throughout the entire process. We keep finding new ways to use the system for our practice and Angie is always there to help us while making sure we stick to our budget.

Cons

The reporting feature could use some improvements but overall, the software provides all the necessary functions.

Excellent software!

Pros

The most outstanding feature, without a doubt, is the people and support from the company. Although the software is great, it is the quality of the backend support that really makes it stand out from other software options.

Cons

At first, there was some confusion because of the different terminologies used, but once that was sorted out, my experience with AdvancedMD has been excellent.

Great features and functionalities!
