“Phenomenal support and great software so far.
Pros
Service/support/training: I am currently halfway through the training for their medical billing software and I couldn't be happier with the experience thus far. The team from sales to training and implementation specialists has been exceptional. I must admit I encountered a minor communication issue initially with one team member but as soon as I expressed my dissatisfaction the staff promptly took responsibility, showed empathy, compassion and transparency, and assigned me a new trainer on the same day. Their ability to acknowledge and rectify mistakes speaks volumes about the integrity of their staff. As a new user, I still have much to learn, but I'm already amazed by the efficiency and ease of use of their claims scrubber, allowing me to complete work in minutes that I thought would take hours. Processing payments is equally swift and straightforward.
Cons
One thing I don't like is that the software is not compatible with Mac or Chrome. Our practice had to purchase a PC specifically to use this software. I prefer using a Mac and dislike relying on Internet Explorer or PCs for the user interface. It would be great if I could use it on my Mac without needing a clunky Parallels Windows interface (which I don't recommend to anyone).

“Best decision we ever made.
Pros
The implementation of various practice management systems throughout my 35 years of medical billing has given me perspective and I can confidently say that AdvancedMD is the easiest to learn and implement. The provided training, including weekly meetings and instructional videos (which I still reference when needed) is excellent. My trainer was incredibly thorough, taking the time to ensure I understood the steps rather than simply rushing through them.
Cons
There was a slight issue with the automatic posting of EFT but other than that there are no major problems to mention.

“Advanced MD has given our business the leg up on the competition
Pros
Over a year ago my company OBT Billing Services, LLC decided to transition all providers to AdvancedMD. Since then this software has revolutionized our services and claims processing by a factor of ten. Many of our 40+ providers were using a third-party EHR that integrated seamlessly with AdvancedMD eliminating manual labor from our daily operations. Our providers are thrilled with the comprehensive package of practice management and EHR, particularly the user friendly dashboard and the advanced insight reporting tool. In my 26 years in medical billing I can confidently say that the training and support provided by AdvancedMD are unparalleled.
Cons
To be honest there is very little to complain about when it comes to AdvancedMD. The product and the company have exceeded my expectations, making them an excellent partner.

“Actively listens and pushes improvements
Pros
The platform is really user friendly across the board from front-desk tasks to billing workflows and I like that AdvancedMD actively listens to user feedback and steadily pushes out system improvements and updates on a routine basis.
Cons
I don't have many complaints but I do wish the system offered stronger audit reports for admin-level actions, especially around changes to master files, so it's easier to track who made what and when.

“Reliably accessible with powerful reporting
Pros
As a cloud-based, browser-run application, I can access it reliably from any internet enabled location. Our billing team finds it easy to operate while handling billing and accounts receivable for more than 50 ophthalmology practices. What stands out to me most though are the powerful reporting tools such as the built-in standard reports plus the flexible custom reporting package give me the insight I need.
Cons
I honestly cannot identify any particular drawbacks. In my experience it's both dependable and budget-friendly.

“Seamless clinical to billing workflow
Pros
I can see a patient, finish my clinical note, generate a charge sheet and push everything over to the billing PM side all within a single session. At the close of the day I go through the list of charges that were sent to PM earlier and make any fixes suggested by their team. Once I have applied those corrections I am comfortable submitting claims to the insurance carrier, knowing the billing has been handled properly. This workflow saves me time and reduces errors.
Cons
As a new user I found it challenging to figure out how to move between the various windows in the PM module. As the layout is not very user friendly. It took me extra time to learn where things live and to feel confident navigating the system.

Pros
There's a lot I like about the platform and the standout for me is the CBO feature. From a single login I can see every one of my clients at once, making roll-up reports quick and painless. The dashboard gives me a clear picture of my overall business performance and with a click I can drill down into each client. For a firm that's growing nationally to over 50 practices, it keeps day to day management refreshingly simple and efficient.
Cons
Honestly there's very little I dislike about it. The main problem we've run into is that our team frequently understands the system's medical billing nuances better than the AdvancedMD support staff does. It feels like we often have to troubleshoot or explain things to support instead of getting confident guidance from them which can be frustrating given how critical billing workflows are to our operations.
