Pros

We faced a challenging case involving an emotionally distressed patient but everyone involved did an exceptional job handling it with the utmost professionalism. I am truly grateful to them for making my interaction with the patient much smoother.

Cons

It needs more frequent coding updates for various sections such as the patient portal. So the updates should be diverse and consistent.

No Customer Support; You Are Own!

Pros

The product is decent but outdated compared to newer programs that offer more helpful features. Prior to AMD being attained by ADP it was a worthwhile software product.

Cons

The software support is terrible. actually it is non existent. There is no support for the billing portion of the program and their standard answer is, "Oh, we outsource the billing. Can't help you with that."

Terrible, Stay away. Don't get locked into their terms.

Pros

The initial implementation process is pleasant as they assist with the setup. However the program itself is clunky and not user friendly with numerous folders and tabs that are difficult to navigate. Overall the implementation could be improved, as many features and products do not function properly.

Cons

I didn't like their attempt to charge me for the setup fee. Apparently, the initial invoice mentions that the fee would be waived if we remain customers for more than 12 months. However, there's no way to agree or disagree with these terms because accepting the invoice is considered confirmation of the "contract." Be aware that this company will try to lock you into a 12-month contract during the initial setup/discussion. The sales team lacks accountability and will do anything to get you to sign up. The customer service representative even yelled at me.

Easy to Use

Pros

The PM module is easy to use and offers modules that cater to our billing and scheduling needs. AdvancedMD is innovative when it comes to keeping up with industry standards.

Cons

I'm satisfied with everything about the product, and once you become familiar with all the options, the reporting is excellent.

Highly recommended

Pros

Their billing services team is great and always collect on time, they have also improved our collections. The EHR product is excellent.

Cons

The system is slow at times and we have been promised that it will be fixed in the new release.

Hard learning curve but system is efficient

Pros

The system is well integrated, I use their mobile app which works well. They also offer credit card payments which help us collect co pays.

Cons

The software is made for large practice and therefore it is complex. It takes a while to learn the whole system. There should be a cut down version of the software for small or solo practices.

Stay away from them or ask for a trial

Pros

I cant think of anything that I like about this product or the vendor

Cons

This is the worst EHR, what they showed us in demos was fake and does not really work. It has very basic functionality and that even does not work. Ask for a trial version so that you can see it before signing the contract.

Pros

The only aspect that impresses me is the quick end of month process.

Cons

The implementation process of this product was challenging. It would be better if the company created form templates for physicians instead of relying on employees who are not computer programmers.

AdvMD - Straightforward/Easy to Use/Efficient PM Software

Pros

Claim submission is efficient and errors are quickly caught without having to wait months for insurance companies to inform you of issues. The turnaround time for claim payments is fast.

Cons

Sometimes its challenging to locate outstanding secondary claims that have been misplaced by the carrier and remain unpaid.

Good for those who know what they're doing

Pros

The reporting features are highly advanced and top notch and the customer support is excellent.

Cons

The software is not customizable and the promises made by the salesman cannot be fulfilled. The updates are slow to release, such as waiting 1.5 years for cross-browser compatibility, as only Internet Explorer is allowed.

It's been a long two years.......

Pros

The mobile app for iPhone is very user friendly and makes it easy to check schedules and demographics. I find it faster to send prescriptions from my phone compared to any other device.

Cons

Firstly instead of taking a minute to answer your question, they constantly tell you to "watch the video" Secondly, the support provided is inadequate, and there's not enough training. They push too much responsibility onto medical professionals who are not computer technicians or data entry clerks.

I am the coding/billing person for the office.

Pros

Once I became familiar with the product, it proved to be quite straightforward to navigate.

Cons

I absolutely hate the way charges with payments are processed. In our practice, there are instances where a patient needs to pay both a co pay and a refraction fee. Unfortunately, this system doesn't allow posting multiple payments on the charge screen. It would be much more efficient if we could post charges and payments on the same screen, based on the charge rather than the co-pay. Additionally, when posting insurance payments on a charge where the patient has already made a payment and the insurance payment exceeds the insurance balance, the system puts the entire payment in unapplied instead of just the difference. This requires me to switch screens and manually adjust the payment, which is time-consuming. The same issue arises when applying copays to specific charges. This primarily happens with Aetna claims.

User friendly notes from highly customizable templates

Pros

Our providers needed quick and customizable note templates for evaluations and we were able to tailor them to our exact requirements including checkboxes and frequently used comments.

Cons

Learning how to use this software requires a lot of training which is necessary but also timeconsuming.

Advance MD Review

Pros

I absolutely love the intuitive practice management software. Its not only user friendly for both front and back office operations but also backed by exceptional sales, setup, training and support. Unlike many other software providers AdvancedMD remains attentive even after the sale, encouraging feedback and ideas for improvement. The pricing is fantastic and within reach, and their robust yet uncomplicated PM software speaks volumes to the medical community.

Cons

I would prefer further development of the collections module offering additional options. Dealing with old debt is time consuming in most practice management software and its not financially rewarding. Having a collection module that could handle more of this time consuming work would be highly beneficial for AMD clients.

Advanced MD EHR

Pros

What sets this product and vendor apart is their hands on approach as a complete staff team. Whenever I face questions or problems during training, my trainer readily reaches out to the relevant departments to find solutions and resolve any issues.

Cons

What I find least satisfactory about this product is that it doesn't track the actual times of surgeries.
