It was a treat to use Athenaclinicals. The learning modules made everything easy to navigate and training the staff was made easier too. Creating reports was much easier too!
Cons
Reviewing and clearing claims that were made was a little tricky because of the complex language. Maybe learning modules for that would help!

I called them for help about something but they refused to help me saying that since I was a patient any questions I had should be dealt with by my doctor not them! Even though the question was about THEIR software.

One thing I like is that it can be used hospital-wide as well as in practices. I also liked the training videos, although they were somewhat time-consuming.
Cons

The software is complicated. I click on to do something while the software keeps on suggesting to me things that I don’t need it to do. It doesn’t remember the patient’s diagnosis from earlier visits. It doesn’t keep my frequently used codes or orders. It doesn’t work on a tablet, phone, or Chromebook.

The software can handle clinic operations and protect PHI but you really need someone on staff who knows the complicated back-end interface. The Communicator feature works okay but it won't accept images. Every upside seems to come with a downside.
Cons
Well the way user roles and permission rules are set up makes little sense at times. I also get annoyed by the proprietary scripting languages they use for documents and other components which can make customization and fixes frustratingly difficult.

After the update I can search patients by name and get a list of choices to jump to their main page, open their chart, upload documents and more. That whole navigation has become noticeably easier and more user friendly.
Cons
Scheduling really frustrates me because I cannot pick multiple days at once when I am setting appointments which makes managing recurring blocks or several shifts tedious.
