“purple theme can't cover outages”
Pros
The only thing I can really credit is the name and the purple color scheme looks nice.
Cons
The service has frequent, unpredictable downtime-there were even outages on Monday afternoons during rush hour. Also, customer support is so slow it feels like it barely exists which makes everything more frustrating than it needs to be.

“Easy scheduling on busy days”
Pros
Scheduling medical appointments is very easy with this system. It's so simple that I never have to waste time figuring things out, which is a huge help on a busy day.
Cons
Sometimes I have to wait a bit longer to get the specific appointment time I want.

“very weak reliability”
Pros
Honestly I just like the name "Athena." It sounds strong. Also, the purple color theme throughout the interface is actually really nice and pleasing to look at for hours on end.
Cons
It goes down way too often and at the worst times like Monday afternoons. And when it does, their customer support is so slow it's basically useless.

“easy to use”
Pros
There's been steady, ongoing improvement in the product itself, plus the way it integrates with other offerings keeps getting better over time. The overall direction feels thoughtful and like the platform is actively being refined.
Cons
The report builder feels a bit tiring and takes some effort to get comfortable with. It's not as simple or user-friendly as I'd expect.

“Perfect for us”
Pros
The app's functionalities are simple to use and getting to CSM is really convenient. Everything feels designed for daily workflow without a lot of extra friction.
Cons
One thing that's missing is the ability to copy the reasons for a visit from one provider to another which would save time when things are similar.

“user-friendly features”
Pros
Accessibility support and the user-friendly options for all users make the platform feel welcoming and usable. It's not just built for one kind of user-it works well across different needs.
Cons
The development roadmaps and releases moved a bit slowly at first though it's been nice to see the pace pick up a lot more recently.

“pricing gets higher and higher”
Pros
At the start, the service was noticeably cheaper and it actually came with a few solid features that made it feel worthwhile. Also, the team has been willing to listen and respond to feedback when suggestions are brought up.
Cons
After some time, the pricing went up in a way that feels tied to gross revenue which means the better you do financially, the more your costs rise. That's rough in healthcare since the workload increases and everyone ends up taking a larger cut but without the ability to raise rates to match. Also, primary care is charged a higher percentage than specialists which seems like it only widens the gap between the well-resourced and everyone else. There are also basic workflow gaps, patient messages don't have an "out of office" option and there's no simple way to route those messages to another provider. That combination is pretty frustrating and they've declined to address it even after raising it.

“fast, efficient, customizable athenaone”
Pros
athenaone feels really efficient, quick and polished for internal staff to use. it also supports customization which you don't see very often in tools like this. it covers a wide range of workflows, including reports and letters, plus formatted templates so it can handle day-to-day documentation without much hassle.
Cons
recent efficiency updates aimed at improving performance seem to have backfired a bit-navigating individual client charts has become noticeably harder.

“Nice EMR”
Pros
The EMR tool itself feels solid and is simple to use which makes day-to-day workflow less painful.

“The better our practice gets, the more it costs us”
Pros
When we first signed up, it was less expensive than a lot of the other options we looked at. On top of that, it came with some really good features that made it a great value for our practice.
Cons
They keep increasing their costs based on my gross revenue. It feels like in medicine, the harder you work, the more everyone else takes a cut and you can't just raise your rates to match. They even charge primary care a higher percentage than specialists, which just feels like the rich getting richer. They do listen to suggestions sometimes but it's ridiculous that there's no "out of office" reply for patient messages or a way to send them to another provider. And they refuse to fix that.

“Very Efficient solution”
Pros
For us as internal employees, the software is very efficient, fast and has a sleek feel. A huge plus is that it allows for a good amount of customization which you don't see often. We use it for most of our reports, letters and formatted templates.
Cons
Their recent updates to make things more efficient kind of backfired. Now it's a real pain to navigate through individual patient charts.

Pros

“support lacking”
Pros
After the initial signup, the setup only felt productive for a short time. The part I genuinely appreciated was having the problem list available right away.
Cons
Notes don't stay put when I need to leave and jump to other chart notes-everything feels like it gets lost. The dictation program also runs poorly and the error-correction feature doesn't work as intended. During the initial startup, things failed outright and I ended up losing a lot of money at the beginning. Athena wouldn't help me recover the funds even though the money had already been sent by the insurance company. Also, reimbursement money is routed through a separate bank which made it even harder to keep track of where the funds were-less personal accountability and more uncertainty. Navigation is dated and moving between sections takes extra effort, with the instructions to do it being difficult to locate. The help/support sections aren't clear either and it often takes several windows just to find the specific details I'm looking for.

“keeps everything in one”
Pros
athenaone has it all. it's an all-in-one platform covering everything from checking in guests to reviewing emrs, faxing documents and communicating with patients. there really isn't anything else like it. the support team also responds fast whenever something comes up which makes a noticeable difference. overall, it saves a ton of time during the workday and keeps things feeling more organized and professional.
Cons

“so good”
Pros
I can view my upcoming appointments and send messages directly to my doctor from the app. That part is really helpful and saves me time compared to calling around.
Cons
