Pros

Seemed like a great choice from the first representation but now that we have gotten to use it, the system feels underdeveloped compared to our last EHR software. It is reasonably priced and allows us to handle our own billing, other than that it does not have much to offer. We switched from Athena to this only a week ago, but we are now planning to switch back to it.

Cons

The functionality of the software is nothing like we were shown in the demo. It is below average at best and probably not suited for advanced functions. The design is too simplistic and none of the different aspects make sense together. Everything takes extra clicks and steps. Referral section is a huge disappointment. The charts are not intuitive as far as I can tell. It seems the idea behind the software is promising but the execution, a disaster.

Perfect for my practice

Pros

The exceptional interface and App-like feel make this platform simple to learn. It is completely coordinated and the workflow for the system is the best I have ever come across and used in my 16 years profession. The settlement posting and statement aspects are highly advanced and specifically designed for the end use. I also appreciate that there is almost no hold-up time to when you call the support service. Generally, most of my issues are settled effectively over the phone on the same call. No waiting for follow-ups.

Cons

They have spiked up the monthly costs per provider since I started on it. It can seem a little strange when transitioning from another system. But ultimately it is worth it with the ease of use and reliability it offers.

WORST COMPANY

Pros

Nothing about this software is good. It is simply the worst you could imagine. They make you think its the best, but there is nothing appealing about it. It is very expensive and they keep adding extra charges, leaving you with a huge bill. All they care about is money, and customer service is very poor.

Cons

Everything is worse. I cannot think of a single good thing about this.

DO NOT PURCHASE

Pros

It definitely looks nice, but from a billing perspective its complicated and time-consuming.

Cons

I rarely leave reviews, and I am certainly not one to be negative. However, the staff from management on down, has been terrible. They have extorted us financially and no one responds when we ask questions. We get passed around and management refuses to contact us. The poor reps promise that management will reach out, but it never happens. The finance department has a woman who is rude, abrasive, unprofessional and shrewd. They do not uphold their end of the contract they force you to sign, and since joining them, we have lost significant revenue. They even fired one of their few who recognized what was happening and tried to help us. We've been trying to leave this company, and they are demanding thousands of dollars for work that was not done, plus over $8,000 just to leave. We are a small business and this is only the beginning of the problems we have had with them. I cannot wait to be done with it all.

Highly recommended for practices of all sizes

Pros

I have not had any big issues with CareCloud’s performance in the entire four years we have used it. It is a robust, comprehensive system which makes it very easy for me to manage my clients and staff. Their billing aspect is highly efficient and accurate that I had to dissolve an administrative position because the billing app took care of all that work itself. The software is easy to navigate and has some great functionalities to offer. We have been very pleased with its overall performance and would definitely recommend it to other practices.

Cons

I wish they had cloud storage so we could upload and save medical records on there. It would help a lot in terms of mobility and quick retrieval. Their scheduling app and iPhone app could use improvements as they are missing some key features.

No data privacy

Pros

The billing app is good. You can conveniently check your financials from within the system but only if you want all users to have access to the financials but if it is something you only want to be accessed by an authorized few, it can be trouble. Because unlike most EHRs and CRM, CareCloud does not have differentiated user pathways for clients, practitioners and other staff. They do have a section that seemingly allows you to sever the access of particular parts of the chart but it does not work as it should.

Cons

There is barely any regard for data privacy. There is no option for us to limit or turn off access to patient billings. Any individual who approaches the timetable/plan for the day can tap on a patient on the present calendar and approach all financials related data. Practitioners neednt bother with access to billings yet they do need to see the timetable of all patients present in the facility on their working days. I would not recommend Carecloud EMR to any practice until they have made sense of how to square access to financials from the timetable application.

The most efficient EHR

Pros

The system is incredibly user-friendly. Perhaps, the most simple and efficient EHR software I have ever used. There is no learning curve or a need for any extensive training. Everything is at the tip of your fingers, navigating through the system is a breeze, without having to switch sections, you can easily keep tabs on rejected claims and unanswered claim requests which keeps you on top of things and eliminates the need for consulting old records.

Cons

I wish CareCloud was suitable for a wider collection of specialties. There are some manual work steps whenever we need to file paper claims.

Pros

The software design is very promising. It is intuitive and very simple to operate. You can set it up according to your practice or specialty needs. Locating data takes minutes and the reports are in an order that is so easy to manage. Their billing system is automated for the most part that makes our practice much easier by allowing us to do our billings ourselves. The company staff is great. From the administrative staff, the IT department to customer support, they are friendly and always willing to help. The support staff does not close your case before seeing it to finality.

Cons

There need to be more people dealing with front end scrubbing so that the claims have complete and correct data before they are sent out, to avoid the whole process of the refiling denied claims.

Carecloud compatibility

Pros

Having worked with many EMR platforms, I find CareCloud to be the most user-friendly. It offers a great interface for managing patient charts. Providers can customize widgets to set up the chart view in the most efficient way and create specific templates based on the reason for the visit, which speeds up documentation. With the right computer and specs, it runs very fast, addressing the time-wasting issue common with EMRs. Providers and staff can access the entire chart from their iPhone or Android anytime, so even if Wi-Fi goes down, you do not lose any data. Providers can also monitor their productivity either individually or as a practice directly from the platform. Upon signing in, they can choose to see their productivity dashboard, schedule dashboard, or clinical dashboard which makes it efficient even for practice owners who need a quick view of their business or schedule for the day. It almost never goes down; in the five years I have used it, it was down once for about six hours, but typically, any issues get resolved within 20 minutes.

Cons

I wish CareCloud were compatible with an iPad. Right now, I use a Dell flip laptop which works, but if you use a larger laptop, its awkward to bring into each patient room. I also wish the help desk staff were more proactive in resolving issues properly. I usually figure things out before support calls back. IT support generally responds within two hours but they tend to call during clinic hours. If you have a suggestion, it goes into a queue, and CareCloud support determines whats prioritized. About 70% of my requests have been addressed and fixed, but it takes time. As a provider, I am aware of medical-legal issues that I am not always sure IT fully understands. I wish CareCloud support would prioritize providers suggestions, recognizing that we're looking out for our patients' well-being as well as protecting our licenses to practice medicine.

Truly awful. Do not purchase

Pros

The only thing I like about CareCloud is their assisting staff, the customer support is very kind and always willing to help.

Cons

The system has awful functionality. I do not understand why is it so highly rated. You have to redo most of the documentation yourself. Past history, family history, social history has to be manually rewritten, every single time. The system doesnt pull up numerous routine symptoms for system audits, analysis for past clinical or family history, etc. Whats worse is that they automatically renew your contract for a year without a 60 days-notice, every year. Along these lines, if the dissatisfaction has turned out to be overpowering in light of the fact that you at long last acknowledge they are not going to fix the glitches, and there are 59 days of the years end term, they do not cut you any slack and demand you pay for the whole year.

Great customer support. Billing module needs improvements

Pros

I absolutely love how kind friendly and eager to help their support staff is. This is in regards to a particular customer service representative who patiently helped me figure out how to post complicated ERA’s. The system offers much ease for your practice. Checking patients in and out is very convenient with CareCloud.

Cons

There are quite a few things that do not work as they should. The reports are impossible to put together which is nothing like the robust reporting their sales rep promised when we were starting out. Some of the ERA’s are extremely difficult to post, you need to go through so many extra steps of downloading the EDI’s and whatnot. The tertiary claims are not automatically attached to the previous payers EOBs and need to be attached manually which is not the best because Tricare for life and other payers prefer electronic claims.

Works great for psychiatry practice

Pros

I use it on a daily basis in my therapist office. The system is incredibly easy, saves me a lot of time. The charting is intuitive. Scheduling appointments, coordination, and interaction with the system and patients is great. The support is commendable. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Moving from patient to patient is very quick. All new changes are immediately updated into the system database. I love the accessibility on iPhone with Touch ID.

Cons

The system can be a little slow at times. I need to schedule at fifteen minutes intervals but the system is sometimes very slow to reopen after 45 minutes intervals.

Highly recommended for independent/small practices

Pros

Ultimately, you need to thoroughly research the systems and get the one the fits your practice needs best. However, I have complete confidence that CareCloud is the perfect choice for most healthcare facilities irrespective of their size and specialty. The system is easy to use. Intuitive. It saves so much time off your daily computations. The EHR system has all the bells and whistles. I particularly love their billing and RCM systems. The reports are comprehensive. It is perfect to accomplish projects like meaningful use and MIPS. Customer support is top-notch.

Cons

We deal in more than one specialty. the software is adaptive but there are no dashboard widgets or shortcuts for the chiropractic practice,

Great value for money

Pros

Carecloud software is so easy and effortless to use which makes daily working seem very light. Bein a small practice, the software allows me to set up the system according to our requirements and only pay for the things that we need and not the services we do not utilize, like in some other EHRs. The support staff never disappoints, they are easily accessible and you are very likely to have your problems resolved by the end of the phone call.

Cons

There are a few features that I wish CareCloud had, like the Labs auto-integration with the notes so they would automatically be shown in them rather than having to manually attach them.

The best system we have used so far

Pros

Its an intuitive EMR solution that caters to the needs of all sections of the practice and brings the information altogether into the billing section for it to be accurately billed. The main reason to out switch was billing as we could no longer work with our previous EMR company because of their ineffective billing system. CareCloud has designed the system just right for us.  Be it follow-ups, claims, collections; it has made everything more seamless for us.

Cons

They could perhaps work a bit more on their implementation team side of the company. It was long and challenging but nevertheless, it turned out to be great.

Awfully slow EHR

Pros

When I first started on it, it seemed promising and innovative by the looks of it. But that was all a façade to sell their product. You would think it will improve your practice by a long shot and bring a sense of order with ease because of its application-like layout but it delivers nothing of that sort.

Cons

The software is painfully slow. Half the times it would just give up and a “time out” ticker will appear. The system crashes ever so often without a warning and all progress is lost. You do not have the ease of getting all the info in one mainframe instead you have to switch between apps to view little details of patient’s data such as appointments, lab results, billing information. A different outlet for everything. It is so confusing and frustrating at times. You have to download a separate CMS to view EOB files. The app won’t notify you if a claim was denied. It will sit there for days, weeks and months until you stumble upon it and fix the A/R problems yourself.
