“user-friendly records and alerts”
Pros
ChiroTouch is very user friendly. It keeps patient records organized and secure, whether the patient is currently active or hasn't been seen in a while. I also appreciate the alerts for things like insurance being out of network or when someone is getting close to their maximum covered visits. On top of that it's helpful that it can send messages directly to patients, including appointment reminders.
Cons
One frustration is that fixing mistakes can be difficult unless you really dig into the software. It can also be confusing figuring out exactly where patient information should be entered since you often have to click through different options and scroll around to find the right field.

“feature-packed for busy clinics”
Pros
This setup works especially well for a larger clinic or any practice that bills insurance. It comes with plenty of useful features and offers a strong level of customization which makes it adaptable to different workflows.
Cons
The biggest frustration is having to sign a 12-month contract before even getting a real chance to use the software. I received the first month free but after the first weekend I already knew I didn't want to keep using it and now I am locked into paying for the remaining 11 months.

“excellent cloud-based patient flow”
Pros
Running patient flow and day to day management is very efficient with this cloud-based system and it keeps everything moving well.
Cons
It still falls short when it comes to generating end-of-day closing reports which is a noticeable weakness.

“reliable server-based support”
Pros
The server-based version of ChiroTouch worked really well for us. Support was amazing too and the fact that we hardly ever needed help says a lot about how well it performed.
Cons
After that I was heavily pushed into signing up for the cloud version through a lot of sales pressure and legal-heavy tactics. It has turned into a complete disaster and once my contract ends, I plan to leave. In my view, it has been just as unscrupulous as many other chiropractic practice management companies I have dealt with over the past 40-plus years.

“helpful support and simple scheduling”
Pros
It is pretty easy to use. Working with customer support has been a positive part of using it because they genuinely try to resolve problems and correct errors very quickly. Scheduling patients and handling accounts is also simple and convenient.
Cons
Since the cloud version became available, my overall opinion of the software has improved. That said, insurance billing could still be simplified because it takes too many steps right now. It's also frustrating that I have to reach out to them whenever there's a clearinghouse issue. On top of that the cloud support team really needs more staff so users can get immediate help when problems come up.

“fantastic cloud tools”
Pros
Running this in the cloud has been a big plus since it works from any device which makes daily use much more flexible. Patients can check themselves in with a QR code and the scheduling tools, code bundling and pointing features all work really well. The engagement and appointment reminder piece is excellent and the online forms have been especially impressive.
Cons
As per me the biggest setback was the cloud rollout last year which caused a lot of frustration at the time. That said, the packages and check-in workflow have improved dramatically and are now among the strongest parts of the software. That rough launch is really the only reason I am keeping this at 4 out of 5 stars.

“quick notes after setup”
Pros
After the initial setup is finished, getting notes completed is quick, fast and easy.
Cons
The downsides are dealing with server setup and ongoing maintenance, plus recurring monthly fees and having to pay for Review Wave to get features it doesn't include.

“cloud access transforms my practice”
Pros
The cloud based setup has completely changed how I run my practice. Having access to the software from anywhere has been a huge advantage.
Cons
At the same time that cloud based setup is also the biggest downside. If the internet goes out, the entire practice is basically stuck. If our internet provider has an outage, we can at least get by for a little while using cellular hotspots but if the its servers go down, everything is completely dead in the water. The cost is another major issue. It really feels like you get nickel-and-dimed, with every separate module coming at an added price. After signing up, I honestly felt like I had been dropped into a beta program. That might have been acceptable if I had knowingly agreed to test unfinished software but I only realized it was still in a development phase after signing the contract, converting my data and starting implementation.

“slow system and poor support”
Pros
Honestly there's nothing in this product that my staff or I have enjoyed using. The system is incredibly slow and lags badly whenever we try to move from one screen to another. It's also missing a lot of the functional features it really should have. There's no AR report and even the end-of-day reports only work part of the time. During the first three months after we got the system, we couldn't bill at all and had a hard time getting anyone from customer service to help. Support is basically nonexistent and when you do manage to reach someone, they just send you to a pre-made video that doesn't solve anything. I was eventually assigned a manager who makes promises about fixing the software issues but responses still take days or even weeks which is only slightly better than the customer service we dealt with before.
Cons
The biggest problems are customer support, billing and how nonfunctional the software seems overall.

“powerful options with heavy tradeoffs”
Pros
There is a great range of features available and the system can be made fairly functional if you're willing to spend the time learning how everything works and setting up your own custom specifications.
Cons
After working with at least five different chiropractic EMR platforms as a clinician, office manager and IT support person and helping no fewer than four clinics switch from other systems to this one despite my recommendations, I can say this with confidence. I am also a chiropractor with a strong background in billing and compliance and I have used it a lot in several offices and during school so this opinion comes from a lot of firsthand exposure. It can work but it's nowhere near the complete solution it presents itself to be. To start with, it's expensive both to implement and to maintain each month. Many of the most valuable features require separate monthly add-ons and the total cost can easily end up being higher than the rent for your office. On top of that it's a server-based system rather than cloud-based. If you're not familiar with networking, that creates real headaches because accessing the system outside the office like finishing charts from home is difficult and performance can be painfully slow when managed remotely. Another big frustration is that scheduling, patient account management and charting are split across separate apps that don't work together well which can make daily work unnecessarily frustrating unless your staff has multiple monitors. To make matters worse, getting the system ready for normal day to day use can take days or even weeks of complicated setup and even after all that effort, it still misses some basic billing functionality. If you're shopping for a new EHR, I'd strongly suggest looking at ChiroFusion instead.

“helpful support during transition”
Pros
Switching our office over to this software happened much faster than I expected which was a huge relief since we were under a tight deadline. The implementation process was very manageable and the support team has been outstanding from the start. Dionne Johnson, our enrollment specialist, has especially been a lifesaver, always answering my many questions about enrollments, billing and everything that came up during the transition.
Cons
Coming from a much simpler system like eThomas, the number of features in it can feel a little overwhelming at first. There is definitely a learning curve when you're getting started but the support team and knowledge base articles have been extremely useful. On top of that Dionne has made the billing side of things much less stressful and far more manageable.

“payment control and helpful alerts”
Pros
Having direct control over payment posting is a big plus and honestly I don't see another software system that does the job better. The alert feature is also really useful.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see is the current authorization area in the Insurance tab support multiple active authorizations since a lot of insurance plans require separate authorizations for physical therapy, chiropractic or acupuncture. We regularly have patients with two authorizations active at the same time so having an alert for that would be very helpful. I'd also like more flexibility when adjusting claims to resend them as corrected claims. Right now I can't remove or add individual lines so I have to rely on my clearinghouse to make those fixes and send them back out. It would also help to have the patient's date of birth displayed next to their name at the top and a patient portal would be a nice addition.

“great for everyday clinic work”
Pros
For the day to day basics in a clinic, ChiroTouch handles the job well.
Cons
It hasn't kept pace with how quickly the insurance landscape changes. Some insurers now pay claims through virtual credit cards and there's no proper way to record that without it appearing as a patient payment. It really feels like nobody at the company is staying aligned with what's happening in the real world. The system is also very click-heavy for simple tasks, like applying a credit card payment across multiple accounts. Even checking out a single appointment takes 13 clicks from start to finish and with a family of five, that adds up to 65 clicks.

“terrible support and no help”
Pros
Nothing positive comes to mind right now because my experience with their customer service has been awful.
Cons
After dealing with their staff, IT support and the way they handle calls, callbacks and basic communication, I honestly do not see any redeeming qualities. They shift the blame to others instead of owning their poor communication and even though they promise a response within 24 hours, it can take weeks. Customer service feels like an afterthought and they expect users to do all the work instead of actually helping. I paid for the software and still have not been able to use it and they also refused to refund $35.00. That is something to seriously consider before buying.

“customizable notes and scheduling”
Pros
The notes and appointment tools are extremely user-friendly and the level of customization is exactly why I moved over from my previous software.
Cons
Billing wasn't completely ready when I started using it. It covers the basics but it's still missing some important features that would make day to day work easier. You can't post zero-dollar payments and it's pretty easy to get turned around in the navigation especially when trying to fix returned claims. That has been the biggest weak spot for me. I am also not a fan of paying extra for add-ons. Whenever new features come out, they cost more, while other companies often bundle everything into one price. That said, it has been improving over time.

“poorly managed and not ready”
Pros
Being web based at least gives me the convenience of logging in from a laptop which is useful. Beyond that, though, it is like I am using a weaker product that hasn't been managed well.
Cons
Nearly every part of this software needs work. Some sections still come across like they were pushed out far too early and now require several updates just to catch up. It honestly seems like the product was released a couple of years before it was actually ready. On top of that most of it is not user friendly at all and the functionality is genuinely terrible.

“feature-rich but support gaps”
Pros
It is pretty easy to work with and comes packed with a lot of useful features.
Cons
Well the live chat support is helpful to have but when the questions get more advanced, they often seem to be passed to newer staff who end up focusing on things that are unrelated to the actual problem. After using the software for more than seven years, I have often felt like I understand certain functions better than the support team does. We also ran into a serious issue when our server computer was failing and we couldn't get a setup appointment scheduled quickly enough. That delay led to data loss and what my staff still remembers as hell week.

Pros

“web access boosts bookings”
Pros
Being able to use CT from anywhere through a web browser has been a huge plus for us. We no longer need our server computer to store bulky software just to keep the system running and the online booking feature has helped bring in more patients.
