allows faster charting

Pros

Charting is much quicker with ChiroTouch because it comes packed with features that speed up the whole process. The AI tool helps build charts in real time which is a huge plus during busy days. It also gives you plenty of options to work with preset tests, phrases and formatting styles.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is better access to my charts from anywhere, along with the ability to use all of its features directly from my smartphone.

provide great support

Pros

The system didn't take long at all when start using it and the customer service team has consistently been excellent. Scheduling works really well and leaves very little room for errors. Billing took a bit of time to fully understand at first but once I got comfortable with it, it became very manageable.

Cons

The separate clearinghouse enrollments were a bit frustrating especially since we had already gone through a very similar process with our original setup. It still gets the job done but the repetition was annoying. My biggest complaint is that because this software is built around chiropractic practices, it doesn't fully meet the charting needs for personal injury cases.

Reliable updates and standout support

Pros

I have been using ChiroTouch since 2013 and have worked with many team members on different issues over the years. Out of all of them, one support person was by far the most helpful. One evening, he stayed very late after we had already left the office just to finish our update and make sure everything was running properly. Because of that extra effort, we were able to start work the next morning without any downtime at all which made a huge difference for a busy practice like ours. Overall, it's a user-friendly program and whenever someone asks for my software recommendation, this is the one I suggest.

Cons

Reporting section isn't my favorite part. A few reports are really good but others still need some improvement.

Helpful onboarding at first

Pros

Getting started was helpful because the onboarding team walked me through the setup. That was pretty much the only area where I received useful assistance. After that, support mostly just searched CT Community and seemed unsure of how to actually handle issues.

Cons

Their billing has been inconsistent and I was overcharged for several months. Real support is basically absent and the support they do offer is entirely overseas. On top of that they hold your records hostage and will only complete a full data migration whenever they decide it's appropriate.

Flexible patient workflow win

Pros

Patient management and documentation are where this software really shines. Note-taking is efficient and it does a great job of supporting proper compliance which matters a lot. One of its strongest points is how customizable it is. That flexibility lets you shape it around your practice very closely, including patient communication through email and text messaging.

Cons

Cost is the biggest drawback in my view since it takes a pretty significant investment to get on board. There's also definitely a learning curve and that's hard to avoid. The same high level of customization that makes it powerful can also make it more challenging to learn and set up.

Complete practice management win

Pros

Switching to ChiroTouch made charting feel much more manageable compared with my previous EHR. The billing side takes a little time to learn but once you get comfortable with it, it works really well. The value for the cost is outstanding. It's a full system that really helps with running my practice day to day. Whenever there's a snag with claims, charting or anything else, the support team has been helpful, friendly and quick to respond. Scheduling is also very easy and manageable for everyone involved. The AI feature is a nice addition when I need to finish charting fast.

Cons

The billing area can seem a bit confusing to navigate, even though it gets much easier once we're back in our routine. The AI feature also has room for improvement. I was used to how my macros were arranged and I'd really like the option to dictate and have it formatted in that same style.

Customizable and clinic-friendly

Pros

The flexibility of the system has been a huge plus. I am able to add hot buttons for charges, diagnoses, exam tests and notes throughout every part of the SOAP note which makes charting fit the way my clinic works. Uploading documents is fast and I also have it linked to a credit card processing system that is fully integrated with ChiroTouch so payments run quickly and reliably. Scheduling, appointment reminders and the overall organization of everything are set up really well. Another thing I appreciate is that CT actually pays attention to customer feedback. They have a feature request portal and a number of ideas I submitted were actually reviewed and implemented. That has helped make the software work extremely well for my clinic.

Cons

At the beginning there were a few areas that took more time than they should have but that was more than five years ago. Since then, they've made improvements and fixed all of those issues.

Built for chiropractors

Pros

ChiroTouch is like it was designed by people who actually understand how chiropractors work. The system is very user-friendly, scheduling is simple to manage and I can get through patient charting quickly without slowing down my day.

Cons

The biggest downside for me has always been the pricing. There have also been times when I wished I could get a more direct solution for customizing my clinic forms or parts of the scheduling platform.

Appointment scheduling with receipts

Pros

Booking appointments is easy and the built-in payment processing makes transactions quick to handle. The new itemized receipts have also made a huge difference and have really been a game changer for us.

Cons

I find the texting feature annoying because it uses a different number than our actual office line. I'd also like more flexibility with bulk texting especially the option to reach a broader group of patients, including those who haven't been treated yet instead of only the ones seen that day.

Rheo AI scribe gives peace of mind

Pros

The add-ons have been really useful and the new Rheo-AI Scribe feature has made a big difference. Staying on top of my notes is much easier now and it gives me peace of mind knowing it helps capture everything.

Cons

The biggest downside has been the lag in the software. That's been an ongoing issue with it since the start for me. It has improved a lot over the past five years but it still causes problems now and then.

user friendly chiropractic EHR

Pros

Compared with a couple of other EHR systems I have used this one is clearly built with chiropractic practices in mind. The layout is very user friendly and I was able to understand how to use almost every part of the software even before my initial training. ChiroTouch also keeps improving the platform with regular updates, adding features and changes that users in the community have been asking for.

Cons

Every now and then during the workday I am unable to get into the software because of server issues. I also can't use the G8942 or G8539 codes for Humana and I am not sure whether that limitation is coming from the clearinghouse, this tool or Humana itself.

Anywhere access is fantastic

Pros

Being able to pull up our schedule no matter where we are has been a huge plus for us. I even booked an appointment for someone while I was out at a museum this past weekend which was incredibly convenient.

Cons

Not being able to view a patient's appointment schedule in a monthly calendar format has been really frustrating for our whole staff.

More time with patients

Pros

After moving over from the server-based version of ChiroTouch, this one has felt a lot more efficient and has organized my practice quite a bit. I am spending less time dealing with office tasks and bookkeeping which means I can focus more on my patients.

Cons

The area that falls short compared with the server-based version is the statements. They aren't as good and there's no option to customize them or select a different style.

An interactive EMR with standout AI

Pros

ChiroTouch is interactive, user friendly and highly customizable in day to day use. The newer AI integrations really put it ahead of other similar programs. Over the past decade, it's been one of the few EMR tools that has actually kept up with changing technology, along with updates in documentation requirements and insurance billing.

Cons

One thing to watch is the internet connection when saving work since charts can sometimes look different after closing and reopening them.

Integrated billing and communication

Pros

Having everything connected in one system makes it much simpler to handle every part of practice management. I really appreciate how well Trizetto works for billing and how Engage fits in for patient communication.

Cons

The cloud-based version is not very user friendly compared to server-based systems and the learning curve is very steep. I have also had a lot of trouble with SALTing SOAPs and customizing the workflow.

Too many clicks during checkout

Pros

ChiroTouch in the cloud has been the biggest advantage for us. It may sound like a small thing but being able to access the system from anywhere has completely changed how our office operates. We're a Michigan practice and one of our employees spends the winter in Florida. She can still handle all of her CT responsibilities remotely. With FaceTime added in, she can even stay involved with patients, communicate with them and help with virtual checkout. That has been a huge win for us. We also have another team member who often needs to work from home due to health concerns. CT makes it possible for her to stay productive and keep up with her tasks from home. That flexibility has been incredibly helpful. Billing also becomes very manageable once the onboarding process is behind you. There's definitely a learning curve at first but after everything is set up, the workflow is much smoother.

Cons

Only frustrating part with CT is how many clicks it takes. Simple tasks often need more steps than they should. It has improved over the years but the system still feels especially overloaded with clicks when dealing with checkout and scheduling.

An all-in-one tool

Pros

Having everything built into one integrated system makes running the practice much more manageable. It covers insurance verification, claim submission, patient communication and a lot more in one place. This EHR really helps keep daily operations on track. On top of that customer support has been excellent as they respond quickly and usually resolve issues very fast. The AI note-taking feature has also been a huge improvement and really changes the workflow for the better. I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

I noticed that system updates sometimes happen on Sundays which prevents my patients from booking online during that time. The online scheduling experience could also use some improvement because patients often complain about having to log in with their email and password every time. Even aside from that some people still struggle with the booking process. Another drawback is with appointment reminders. They work very well and make patient communication convenient but I wish the text messages came from my office number instead of a separate one.

organized charting with AI

Pros

ChiroTouch gives me an organized EMR that helps me focus on patient care and moving through chart notes is very easy. The added AI has made charting even faster and does an amazing job capturing all the important details from each patient visit.

Cons

Nothing major but the thing I'd like to see in the cloud version is a dedicated area for x-ray images, similar to what's already available in the app version.

A complete workflow boost

Pros

Having the SOAP notes, exam templates, outcome assessments and care plans already built in was a big advantage. After the templates and macros were properly set up, charting became much faster. It was also really helpful to have scheduling, documentation, billing and claims all in one platform since that cut down on constantly switching between different systems.

Cons

Getting everything up and running at the beginning took quite a bit of time. The template and macro customization is powerful but it can also be pretty time-intensive and often needs dedicated setup time or extra support.

Faster cloud support

Pros

Moving to the cloud has made customer support much quicker compared with the server version. The provider screen is very user-friendly and managing patients is a lot simpler overall.

Cons

The updated scheduling setup has some drawbacks as you can't split room appointments and Ct SmartFit still isn't available which is a pretty major disappointment.
