“Chat is slow and often crashes
Pros
On a daily basis, I only need to log in once which is very convenient for me. Whenever a live representative is available, I've found they can usually identify why the app is failing and resolve the issue promptly.
Cons
Honestly, the chat feature is basically useless for me. I find it slow and it rarely answers the questions I ask, instead pushing me to wait for a human who often isn't available. The platform crashes or misbehaves about half the time and it will sometimes direct me to sections of the website that don't exist. Its archival tools feel outdated and clunky, forcing me to choose from limited options that don't reflect my needs. It also annoyingly repeats questions it has already asked and will demand citations or research studies to support a simple statement. On top of that, the allowed upload size is tiny compared with the kinds of files the system expects me to submit which makes some tasks impractical.

“Simple prior auth submission
Pros
In my workflow, transmitting prior authorization forms to providers feels very simple which saves me time.
Cons
Although it does offer some integration with the McKesson Enterprise pharmacy system for sending prior authorizations, I find myself wishing it provided more great functionality, for example, the ability to directly access the complete prior authorization histories housed in McKesson so we wouldn't have to log in to that system separately every time.

With this system, I find submitting prior authorizations much more aligned. I also appreciate how helpful the customer support team is whenever I need guidance.
Cons
it is difficult to use as a beginner and feel it requires proper training. It occasionally returns incorrect information, for example, it has told me an authorization wasn't submitted even after it went through. When there's a problem with submitting authorizations, it doesn't explain what's wrong clearly. Also, it asks too many questions which makes the whole process harder.

At our clinic, I value that we can submit prior authorizations without having to call the insurance company which reduces delays for me.
Cons
We've had several occasions when a prior authorization wouldn't submit online and I ended up needing to call patients' insurance companies to resolve the problem.

From what I've experienced, it simplifies the entire prior-authorization workflow, reduces paperwork and makes coordination with pharmacies and other providers much easier for me.

“Cannot process requests

In the past, I considered this one of the best platforms for submitting authorizations but recently I haven't even been able to complete the process which makes it feel almost useless to me.
Cons
We are completely unable to process our requests through this platform now, each submission fails with different error messages and provider support offers no solutions whatsoever.

Compared to calling each insurance company individually, I find this tool far more convenient for submitting medication prior authorizations. It saves me time and frustration.
Cons
the platform works well overall and the majority of problems I find stem from user mistakes rather than the system. One small annoyance I've noticed is when a pharmacy submits a prior authorization and types the provider's details incorrectly, the wrong provider information then gets copied over into my account too. Fixing it is feasible but it's irritating because the error wasn't mine. It's an easy correction, yet it still causes unnecessary back-and-forth.

“Claim delays cause frustration

In my experience, it's convenient overall, though I sometimes run into issues when certain forms aren't available.
Cons
I filed a claim for my child's ongoing medication early on 8/18/22. He has been stable on this prescription for the past year. He was previously in foster care and has now been adopted. He is eight years old. The claim wasn't processed by Select Health until today despite many phone calls. When I check this portal I see it wasn't sent to Select Health until 8/22/22, three days after I completed the online form. I'm really unhappy with this portal but SC Medicaid plans force me to use it.

“Fast and free pharmacy prior auths!!
Pros
As a medical provider, I've found this platform to be my top choice for handling pharmacy prior authorizations. I can use it without paying anything and completing the online form takes far less time than staying on hold with insurance representatives who often ask the same questions repeatedly. Most of the time, I receive a response immediately or within a few minutes.
Cons
In my experience, a number of insurance plans, Georgia Medicaid being one example, aren't yet hooked up to this service. I don't see this as a flaw with the platform itself, rather, it reflects that certain insurers haven't taken the steps to integrate. Until they do, that limits the tool's reach for patients covered by those specific plans.

When trying to submit feedback, I noticed the site flagged my "pros" section as too short and wouldn't allow me to proceed without adding more detail which I found frustrating.
Cons
This whole move that many parts of healthcare (like labs and imaging) are adopting is awful. It essentially shifts all of the pharmacy's administrative data-entry onto the physician and I find that completely wrong. When a doctor prescribes, they shouldn't be expected to waste clinical time typing in Rx group numbers, patient addresses and other administrative details into the pharmacy system on top of managing care. I carved out time during my very busy clinic to post this because two of my patients couldn't pick up their medications today since their insurers require use of this software. I'm furious about the extra burden and how it interfered with patient care.

What stands out to me most is how quickly I'm notified when a prescription requires prior authorization, how simple the process is to complete and how fast I usually receive a response, often within minutes.
Cons

In my role, I find it very helpful that this system connects medical offices, insurers and pharmacies in one place, allowing me to communicate efficiently and secure medication approvals as quickly as possible for patients.
Cons
Over the more than five years I've used this platform, the only real downside I've found is that many of the questions about a medication come off as repetitive, the system often asks the same thing multiple times just worded differently which can get a bit tiresome.

For me, the program feels much more accessible than calling an insurance carrier for prior authorization which saves me valuable time.
Cons
Honestly, the software forces me to re-enter patient information that the insurance carrier already has on record and in practice that just makes completing a prior authorization take a lot longer than it should. What's even more infuriating is that when an acceptable generic could replace a branded medication, instead of allowing a one-click confirmation to accept the substitution, the system requires starting an entirely new prior authorization. That feels like such a glaring design flaw that I can only conclude the program was built in a way that makes the whole authorization process unnecessarily burdensome, apparently discouraging the use of medications that need pre-approval.
