“Doxy - A modern and secure alternative that everyone should be talking about”
Pros
Doxy is a great solution for video chats. I prefer it over many of the "leading" industry rivals like Skype, Zoom, and Hangouts because it's HIPAA compliant, entirely web-based, easy to use, offers a customizable waiting room, and it's a great conversation starter anytime someone new joins a video chat with me.
Cons
There are a few drawbacks, but I hope these features will be developed over time. I might be missing it, but I don't believe there's a way to record calls. I haven't been able to in previous sessions. Also, some colleagues have difficulty sharing their screens or requesting permission. I wouldn't mind a desktop application either. For premium users, more features could be included in a desktop app built on Electron, while allowing non-account users to join meetings easily without downloads. This would help with settings being lost after clearing my browser cache (which I clear every time I close Firefox).

“Doxy.me meets my business needs”
Pros
Setup and usage are simple for both me and my clients, who appreciate not needing to download an app. There's also no time limit on calls.

“Seamless and Easy”
Pros
The software is straightforward for both the provider and patient. In the current COVID-19 crisis, having Doxy.me has allowed my client and me to stay connected and continue services seamlessly.
Cons
Sometimes the quality of the connection is glitchy.

“Simply put”
Pros
This software is easy to use for both the clinician and clients. It has many great capabilities and even offers a professional version for a small fee. The best part is the ability to have group sessions, which is particularly helpful during COVID for family sessions where a family member is out of the home. This feature is only available in the professional setting ($30/mo), which is honestly $1 a day.
Cons
I believe this software can be improved. At certain times, there is a rush of users, and I've noticed it crashing, usually around midday. Connecting to clients can be difficult, but it eventually works. It would be helpful to have a log for outreach, showing when and how many times texts or emails were sent, to create a paper trail. Also, having a way to preset outreach messages to be sent at specific times would be extremely helpful.

“Ease of Use + Client Interface”
Pros
I really enjoy the "waiting room" approach. There are no surprises while I'm picking my nose or anything. I like that it's always the same process: just click my bookmarked link and sign in, and it's the same for my clients as well.
Cons
There's no solution for poor connectivity or quality. I don't really mind, as my clients don't need HD video for effective sessions, but it is frustrating when it interrupts or disconnects.

“Easy and affordable tele health platform”
Pros
Easy for both providers and patients, offering great value for the price.
Cons
It's tricky to identify who's next on my schedule when patients are in the waiting room. I have to switch between the Doxy platform and my EMR. Some patients check in early, causing scheduling discrepancies.

“The ideal forum for my professional work”
Pros
The best thing is the simplicity. I'm not a technophobe, but I dislike complicated technical setups, and this couldn't have been easier. I just send the link to clients with my sign-in, and we're good to go, no fuss.
Cons
I haven't used any of the additional paid features. I don't need more than what's provided.

“Happy with Doxy.me”
Pros
Patients did not have to register with Doxy.me to use it. They could just follow the link to the medical visit, do the simple system checks, and they were in. All of my patients were able to figure it out and use it.
Cons
Not the fault of Doxy.me, but the video quality was limited by the patient's camera and software, making effective skin evaluation difficult. Telemedicine visits were therefore limited to medication follow-ups.

“Excellent Value”
Pros
Easy to set up and learn excellent website layout, descriptions, and instructions for using the product. The platform works very well for my needs. Including the BAA with the free version was a significant reason I chose Doxy.
Cons
I wish I could get more than 360p in the free version, but I'm not complaining about a product that generally works well and costs me nothing.

“Easy to use and patient friendly”
Pros
It was very easy and quick to get started. I care for a lot of elderly patients who have a difficult time with technology, and almost everyone could use this program easily to get the care they needed during the COVID pandemic. I appreciated the simplicity for them.
Cons
It sometimes freezes during patient visits, and we have to restart, but it doesn't happen often.

Cons
