“Great ease of use”
Pros
Its ease of use stands out. Setup, troubleshooting and day-to-day use all feel very simple and it's really convenient that there's nothing to download.
Cons
A lot of people's microphones and cameras especially on iPhones, seem to get blocked somehow which makes it difficult for them to grant Doxy access. I'm not really sure why that happens.

“Has been a gamechanger”
Pros
When everything first started, I was really worried about what would happen to my business so finding this platform was a huge relief. It's a fantastic option and very simple to use for both me as the therapist and for my clients as well. My schedule is now full and I end up using Doxy.me for at least five hours a day.
Cons
Once in a while, I can't get it to work and have to switch over to my phone instead.

“Would like more features”
Pros
We found it to be user friendly. Patients can join without downloading any app which makes the whole process much more convenient. It's very simple to use overall.
Cons
Outside of sending an invite for a video call, there aren't many features available. I'd also like the ability to add personalized text messages for patients before the call begins. It doesn't support IE or the Windows browser because there's no native RTC support although that isn't a deal breaker. There are also occasional audio issues.

“confidential waiting room works beautifully”
Pros
Having a waiting room that lets multiple clients wait at the same time without any overlap or risk to confidentiality has been really valuable. The platform is very simple for both my clients and me to use since there's no app to download, we just open the website. We also use the same link every session which means there's no last-minute setup or changing details that either of us has to remember. It's obvious they put a lot of effort into improving the platform after COVID, fixing bugs and addressing problems. At this point, I hardly run into issues anymore.
Cons
Live human support, beyond the online help library, seems to be limited to paid or premium users and as a free user I haven't really been able to access it. A few months ago there were some annoying bugs but they've clearly spent time ironing those out and now the process works well almost every time.

“Lifesaver for telehealth”
Pros
Getting started with Doxy.me took very little effort and my clients were able to sign in without any trouble as well. Being free and confidential at the same time is something I haven't really seen from other companies. During the pandemic, this product has honestly been a lifesaver for practitioners and I'm very grateful for it.
Cons
At times, the video quality is pretty poor although the audio usually stays dependable even when the image freezes.

“Works well across devices”
Pros
It has been very convenient because it's simple to use and works well across different devices. There's no need for an app or any downloads which makes it much easier for clients to join from a computer, tablet or phone as long as they have an internet connection. Screen sharing during sessions is very helpful and being able to transfer files is another feature I really appreciate.
Cons
It depends a lot on the quality of the client's internet connection which can affect how reliable the session is and also reduce the image quality.

“Well-organized interface”
Pros
From the first sessions, the biggest advantages were the strong client security, the simple setup and the fact that clients can join without downloading anything. The interface also feels well-structured so it doesn't take much effort to get comfortable using it.
Cons
it's not always obvious which features are included in the free version and which are only available with the paid plan. That lack of clarity can create expectations that don't always match what's actually offered.

“phone-accessible program”
Pros
Using it has been a really positive experience because it's HIPAA-compliant and does a good job protecting privacy. The personalized link is simple to remember and it's also convenient to access from a phone.
Cons
Back when I was using it during COVID-19, there were times when the audio connection had issues and calls would occasionally drop.

“patients don't have to download the app”
Pros
I really appreciate not having to ask patients to download yet another app just to meet with me. That kind of extra step only creates another barrier to care. With this, it's just a link which makes connecting much more simple. I tried other companies before and they didn't offer the same level of simplicity or the convenience of not needing an app.
Cons
The quality of the experience depends heavily on the internet connection. Clients in rural areas do not always have the speed needed and that can make a big difference.

“practical and dependable solution”
Pros
Having HIPAA compliance built in made this a reliable option and it was simple for both my clients and me to use. The free access and immediate availability were especially helpful for continuing telehealth services during the COVID-19 crisis.
Cons
I didn't run into any downsides. It turned out to be a practical and simple solution during the crisis.

“Quick patient visits”
Pros
Just sending a link is enough to get patients connected on Doxy which makes it a really practical option. There's nothing they need to download and no setup to deal with so getting started is very simple.
Cons
Every now and then there are connection issues but it happens rarely. My only real complaint is that the paid version could be a bit more affordable for a small practice especially when we only use it 4-5 times a week for about an hour at a time.

“cost-effective product”
Pros
When we had to jump into telehealth three months ago like everybody else, I started searching for a platform that was both affordable and simple to use. Doxy turned out to be exactly what we needed.
Cons
Getting the admin setup sorted out was a bit confusing. I had a hard time figuring out how to switch from Pro to Clinic and ended up making a mistake but their team has been very helpful in getting everything corrected.

“Useful option for group calls”
Pros
It is uncomplicated and the option to host group calls is really helpful.
Cons
The video quality can be inconsistent at times though it's usually tied to the patient's internet connection rather than the platform itself.

“Brilliant customer service”
Pros
Since early April 2020, I've been using Doxy.me Monday through Friday while working a contract role with local schools. The platform has been very simple to use and I've run into only a handful of problems. Most of the issues weren't really caused by the software itself but by homes with weak internet service or situations where too many apps were running on a phone at the same time which is pretty common in the rural area where I work. I've also been really happy with the customer support I've received as an individual user of the platform. When I'm able, I'd definitely consider upgrading especially if remote PT services continue to be needed.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see in the free version is screen sharing, along with a better option for printing my schedule in a daily view. That said for a free service that delivers this level of quality, I'm honestly very satisfied with what the company provides.

“Appreciate the waiting room option”
Pros
Its very easy to use and has been consistently reliable for my sessions. The waiting room is especially helpful because clients who arrive early have a place to stay until our meeting begins.
Cons
I really don't have any major complaints. The only feature I'd still want is the option to send texts directly although I understand that's available with an upgraded plan.

“Lets me share my screen”
Pros
Getting clients started on it is really easy. Being able to share my screen during sessions and take payments within the same workflow is something I really appreciate.
Cons
My only real complaint is the price. I can get telehealth software for around $10 through the EHR system I already use.
