“Useful pre-call test”
Pros
Easy to use for both the client and the professional which makes appointments much easier to manage. The pre-call test is especially useful because it gives you a real check of your connection quality and shows how strong your setup is before the session begins.
Cons
When a call drops, reconnecting can be a bit frustrating and not always quick. It is possible to get back in but it usually takes some patience.

“Efficient healthcare platform”
Pros
The platform has been very efficient and dependable for me. It's also simple to use which makes sessions simple and hassle-free.
Cons
A few clients have internet connections that affect the call quality. Also, when I stay logged into the site for several hours, there are times when the client check-in does not appear so I have to log out and sign back in.

“outstanding support”
Pros
Running a solo practice during the COVID-19 crisis led me to start using Doxy.me and it has been extremely helpful. The platform is very simple to use, the overall quality has been excellent and the support team has also been outstanding.
Cons
At times, the voice quality can be a little problematic although that seems more related to internet connection issues than the product itself.

“Uncomplicated workflow”
Pros
It was not hard to set up and the platform is simple to use right away.
Cons
From time to time, the video freezes and there are moments when the audio works poorly or does not work at all. I still have not been able to tell whether the issue is with the platform or with my computer.

“recommend the free version”
Pros
Using this product has been very simple. Clients don't need to download anything at all, they just click a link and join me for a secure, high-quality video session. The chat box is both enjoyable especially for kids and practical for adult clients as well. Even during the pandemic, when internet traffic was heavy worldwide, I rarely ran into any quality issues. The customized waiting room looks nice and the meeting history has been very useful. I would absolutely recommend the free version of Doxy.me.
Cons
I honestly have no complaints whatsoever about the free version.

“Fantastic for telehealth sessions”
Pros
Back in late February 2020, I began using it after one of my immunocompromised patients asked to switch to video visits to reduce their COVID-19 exposure. It was very simple to get started with and I really appreciated how quickly I was able to obtain a Business Associate Agreement. Another feature I value is the session timer that shows how long each visit has been running. My patients have also said it's easier to use than the video tool built into my EHR. On top of that, it keeps a log of session start and end times which makes documenting accurate times in my progress notes much more convenient.
Cons
Honestly nothing has really stood out to me as a problem.

“Screen can freeze at times”
Pros
Joining a meeting is pretty simple. This wasn't a platform I chose myself and I'm not especially fond of it but using it hasn't been a huge problem overall.
Cons
The biggest issue has been the other person's screen freezing whenever I join these meetings from my laptop which has forced me to switch over to my smartphone instead.

“Simpler compared to competitors”
Pros
Compared with the telehealth platform we used before, this one has been much simpler to work with. It's also very patient-friendly which makes the whole experience better for everyone involved.
Cons
The audio and video quality on the free version can be disappointing at times.

“Calls keep freezing”
Pros
I'd say its quite user-friendly and the setup didn't take much time. It's also helpful that I can collect payments before sessions.
Cons
Reliability has been a major problem with this platform, with about half of my calls freezing or becoming glitchy. I even upgraded my plan and the issue still didn't improve. At this point, I'm looking for a different service.

“Easy to send the link to patients”
Pros
One thing that really works well with this software is the different ways it lets you send patients a link to start their visit. Being able to just enter their cell number and have the system text them a link to join the waiting room has made the whole process very convenient. From there, starting the appointment is simple. Audio and video quality have been clear on my end and I haven't run into connection problems or had patients struggle to figure out how to use it.
Cons
A split-screen option would be a helpful addition so notes could be typed while still talking with the patient. I've also heard from a few coworkers who said they experienced freezing or crashes while using it although that hasn't happened to me personally. In my own use, it has consistently worked well.

“Feels Secure”
Pros
Running my practice with Doxy.me for teletherapy has worked well for quite a while. It feels secure when I'm meeting with clients and the setup is simple enough that they can log in without much trouble. The waiting room feature is especially useful and being able to chat with clients while they're waiting for me is a nice touch. The overall quality has been decent. I've run into a few issues here and there but nothing serious enough to make me want to switch services. Another big plus is that my clients can join from their phones, computers or tablets without a problem.
Cons
One thing I'd really like is the option to let multiple people join the same session from different locations. I'm on the free version of Doxy.me so that may be something only available on a paid plan. I do couples therapy and family sessions and while I usually prefer couples to be in the same place, family sessions would benefit a lot from having each person sign in separately. If that feature is part of the paid version, it's something I'd consider upgrading for if the need comes up.

“Quick visits without hassle”
Pros
So simple to use. You receive a link by email, click it and you're taken directly to the virtual waiting room. As soon as the physician is available, the video visit begins and you can start the appointment right away.
Cons
Honestly I have no complaints about it. It doesn't crash, it's simple to navigate and nothing about the software has stood out to me as a negative.

“Wonderful virtual waiting room”
Pros
The virtual waiting room works really well and the overall flow feels natural. The chat window is also a useful part of the platform and helps keep communication clear during sessions.
Cons
There are still quite a few technical issues which can be frustrating. It also doesn't connect to my EHR so that part of the workflow is missing.

“No issues yet”
Pros
During the COVID pandemic, this software has been a huge help for me in providing telehealth visits to my patients.
Cons
I really haven't run into any issues with this software itself. The only problem I've experienced was when a patient didn't have a strong enough internet connection or proper access.

“Free but too unreliable”
Pros
Since I'm using the free version, I can't be overly harsh. It's simple to walk clients through and it's simple for them to use the link and enter the waiting room. When the connection holds up, the platform does what it's supposed to do. The problem is that it just isn't dependable enough.
Cons
During sessions, I stay somewhat on edge because I've dealt with so many problems like audio or video freezing, pixelation, lag, jerky movement, disconnects and random refreshes. At times, these issues happen right in the middle of an important emotional moment during therapy which is especially frustrating. It ends up being disruptive and irritating for both my client and me. After it happens often enough, you start worrying the whole time that it's going to interrupt the session again. Having to switch over to Zoom halfway through is very disruptive and also wastes the client's time and money.

“inexcusable browser support failure”
Pros
There really weren't any benefits to mention because the software was completely unusable. I received the link only a few moments before my appointment and right away it became clear that the platform would not work, with no backup option provided.
Cons
Right away, the biggest problem was that Microsoft Edge was not supported which made it impossible for me to join my meeting. For a platform that presents itself as universally accessible, that kind of limitation is hard to excuse. I ended up telling my medical provider they should seriously reconsider using this software.
