“Solid connection”
Pros
Our clients have no trouble using it and the connection stays reliable with little to no issues when we're meeting with them.
Cons
I haven't noticed anything wrong with the software. It's been excellent overall.

“prompt responses to my questions”
Pros
Its user friendly for both me and my patients, the audio and video quality are solid and any questions I've had were answered quickly.
Cons
Every now and then, the sound and video will freeze briefly for a short moment.

“pleased with it”
Pros
Running a private counseling practice, I needed a secure way for clients to access sessions without spending a lot of money or wasting time learning a complicated system. Doxy.me let me get everything set up on my own without needing support and it has made it possible to keep seeing clients whenever they aren't able to come into the office which has become even more important lately. I also value that it gives my clients a professional, user-friendly service while still protecting their privacy. It's been hassle-free, helpful and I'm very happy with it.
Cons
Since I'm based in Alaska, internet connectivity can sometimes be a challenge. There are moments when slower wifi affects the connection but overall it usually isn't a major issue.

“easy setup, works really well”
Pros
Setting it up was very simple and using it has been just as easy. I've had it for more than a year but only recently started relying on it every day and it has been working very well.
Cons
I honestly don't have any complaints. I also don't have another tool to compare it against.

“ability to check client's signal strength”
Pros
Easy to handle for both me as the counselor and for my clients. One of the best parts is that they don't need to set up another account or remember another password, they just enter their name and wait in the virtual waiting room. I also appreciate being able to check the client's signal strength and message them through the chat when needed.
Cons
There are no drawbacks that I can mention.

“Unsupported browsers and broken calls”
Pros
The concept is simple and makes sense. The idea behind it is exactly what you would want, just log in, connect and use the features you need.
Cons
The problem is that it simply doesn't work. I regularly get a "browser is unsupported" message, even when using the browsers they recommend, like Chrome and Firefox. On top of that, the call quality is poor, the video looks bad and the sound cuts out unexpectedly.

“awful call quality”
Pros
The system is quite user friendly overall. You just sign in and can begin using it right away without much setup.
Cons
The call quality is awful, with frequent freezing, bad audio and calls dropping unexpectedly. Those problems make it extremely hard to conduct therapy sessions properly.

“Can send link to waiting room”
Pros
simple and user-friendly. You just sign in and the person you're meeting with is already waiting in your room. It's also really convenient that you can send someone a direct link to your specific waiting room.
Cons
only thing I'd change is making the text or email invite option available for free. I can understand why they charge for it though and we'll probably end up adding that feature anyway.

“Simple to understand”
Pros
Found it very user friendly and it didn't take much time to understand how everything worked. It made my move to online therapy much easier than I expected. It connected without trouble on my laptop and the troubleshooting guidance was helpful whenever issues came up.
Cons
The biggest limitation has been WiFi. It works really well on a laptop but on a cell phone it struggles if the internet connection isn't strong enough. I noticed this consistently while trying it with multiple users.

“Constant errors stopped sessions”
Pros
A free trial is available which makes the platform accessible to try out. The website also has a clean, attractive look and the waiting room for clients is a helpful feature since you can quickly see who is waiting for you.
Cons
I turned to this platform when another service I use went down but it didn't work out. I kept running into an error message and couldn't get the session started. After trying without success, I eventually gave up.

“Hipaa-secure and user friendly”
Pros
It is very easy to get the hang of and it's really helpful that clients don't have to create a login to join. It also offers both a free plan and a paid plan and both options are HIPAA secure which is a big plus.
Cons
At times, the connection quality can be poor, likely because so many people use the platform. Support is available through email but I'm not sure whether there's a live person you can actually speak with.

“Connection issues hurting sessions”
Pros
The platform is simple to use and at the moment that's really the only positive I can point to.
Cons
Since around the middle of the month, the connection has been terrible and it has seriously affected my ability to meet with clients. The video keeps freezing and the audio and video are constantly out of sync. I've already gone through the troubleshooting tips in the user articles, tried a different computer and even switched to another internet connection but nothing has fixed it. It's been very frustrating because I've been paying for this every month for well over a year and when I used it less often, I didn't have these problems. Now that I need it every day because of the COVID-19 crisis, it's performing badly. I also can't schedule a support call because there are never any openings so I haven't been able to get any real help. At this point, I'm close to canceling my service and looking for another option because I absolutely need reliable video conferencing for my clients. I'm still hoping someone from support can step in and help.

“Buggy calls and wasted money”
Pros
Connection is never reliable with this platform. I paid for the texting feature and that doesn't work either. It feels like they launched it before fixing the bugs and charged people for something that doesn't do what they advertise.
Cons
The connection quality is poor, the video keeps glitching and the audio has an echo.

“patient-friendly software”
Pros
Using the system has been a positive experience and it's very simple for patients to navigate and use.
Cons
The biggest frustration is the frequent downtime when the system stops working and it's hard to reach anyone for support when that happens.

“accessible through all devices”
Pros
Patients can join without creating an account and they can access it through common browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Safari on pretty much any device.
Cons
Patients still need to grant the browser permission to use their camera and microphone. Also, the email link opens in whatever browser is set as the default and not every patient knows how to open that link in the right browser. That can be a challenge for people with very limited tech skills. At the same time, those issues would probably come up with almost any telemedicine platform since they are more about the patient's device settings and permissions than about doxy.me itself. One other issue was that they promoted a 30-day free trial for the upgraded version but after I signed up, the upgrade was only available with payment although the cost was still very reasonable.

“Free plan and quick sharing”
Pros
Having a free option is nice especially if you don't need to use the platform all the time like heavier users do. Sending the link to clients is also very simple which makes the whole process really convenient.
Cons
The part I like least is that it can be glitchy at times and the video sometimes loses either the sound or the picture.

“Simple access patients love”
Pros
I really appreciate how simple it is to use. My elderly patients don't have to struggle with downloading software or figuring out extra steps which makes virtual visits much more convenient.
Cons

“impressive functionality”
Pros
Seeing clients felt much simpler with Doxy.me. It has been an ideal platform for seeing some of my clients online. The system is user-friendly and I hardly ever have issues with clients figuring out how to join their sessions. The interface is simple to navigate and the overall connection quality and functionality feel reliable and professional. I also really appreciate that there's a free version available which makes it a wonderful option for providers who want to test it out and see whether it fits their needs.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. Neither I nor my clients have run into any real issues and I would absolutely recommend it.

Cons

“Cloud-based telehealth convenience”
Pros
It has been a really positive experience because it's so simple to use. There's nothing that the patient or provider needs to download which makes appointments much more convenient. Since everything runs in the cloud, it works well across different setups and can be used on any device that has a camera and internet connection.
Cons
At times, the platform can feel a bit slow depending on the internet service provider being used but that seems to be more of an external connection issue than a problem with Doxy.me itself.
