“affordable with personal customer support
Pros
While I am really pleased with how affordable the service is, the user friendly custom note templates and how quickly I can finish my notes, what I like most is the sense of a real, personal connection with the DrChrono customer support team. I actually know the reps by name and they remember mine. Gail even reaches out to check on me from time to time just to see how I am doing which I genuinely love.
Cons
At the moment I am completely satisfied with every part of the service and have no complaints.

“Comprehensive emr consolidates everything
Pros
To me it is genuinely a comprehensive EMR/eHR solution that consolidates everything into one place. I find billing and documentation tasks pretty easy and efficient too. Plus support gets back to me quickly over email.
Cons
I am pleased that they keep rolling out improvements, however I'd really like to have a recurring billing feature added to the platform.

“Customizable templates and fantastic ipad
Pros
I love how customizable the templates are and the iPad interface is fantastic for on-the-go work.
Cons
From my experience loading patient charts often feels slow and I think assigning Dx pointers in the billing section could be made much more organized and user friendly.

“User-friendly, mobile and modern
Pros
This platform is user-friendly, mobile and modern. I find that it meets my practice needs both in the office and when I am at the hospital.
Cons
Haven't had any major problems my only small suggestion would be to prevent duplicate medication entries when prescriptions are renewed though it's a minor problem.

“Incredibly easy for front desk and billing
Pros
Running the front desk and handling billing with this product is incredibly easy and I find it much simpler than our previous software, Practice Studio. I also like the ability to send text, phone call or email reminders and that doctors can create their own templates or adopt another physician's templates so I can set it up exactly the way I want.
Cons
I noticed that insurance records didn't line up correctly after the patient demographics were migrated over.

“Flexibility and sophisticated capabilities
Pros
I really value the flexibility and sophisticated capabilities that are usually reserved for much pricier EHRs and it manages to avoid the frequent bugs those programs suffer from.
Cons
honestly I find it hard to come up with anything I dislike about DrChrono.

“Very user-friendly interface and apps
Pros
From my perspective, the interface is very user-friendly and I have been impressed by the iPad and iPhone apps which offer almost all of the same features I have also gotten outstanding product support.
Cons
I still wish they would provide Spanish localization but that doesn't diminish how much I like this vendor. They actually built a tailored version for me because I don't use every feature and they've been extremely supportive, letting me experiment with additional functions as I realized I needed them.

“Amazing tool.
Pros
I love the simplicity of billing and the formation of full account notes. Im not a coder, nonetheless composing the HTML for a custom note was in reality quite simple. I had help immediately when I was stuck on making one aspect of the note.
Cons
The expectation to absorb information appeared to be steep from the start, however then I glance back at other systems Ive used, and its actually the same. To master something very well just requires significant investment and exertion - with the result corresponding to the contribution from the outset. Presently that I know about DrChrono, the input isn’t much and the output (insurance installment and additional time with my patients) is getting up there to maximal!

“Excellent
Pros
User-friendly system and can be used by any specialty type.
Cons
The updates should be done on weekends as it disrupts everything and our work kind of stops due to the system not working.

“Great EMR
Pros
The system is easy to use. Implementing it to my practice was pretty seamless. The billing system is superb. Their support team always responds promptly.
Cons
I don’t know if I dislike anything, because whenever I suggest to them, they always listen and try incorporating it within the system.

“Consistently excellent since 2010
Pros
I have been using DrChrono since around 2010 and in my experience it's consistently been excellent. I appreciate that the company's mission and culture focus on advancing healthcare through an EMR and EHR designed to address many of the data-driven problems that plague modern healthcare systems.
Cons
There aren't many things I don't like as the system's capacity to build multiple order sets is somewhat restricted and while I find the interface generally smooth, I think a few small tweaks could make it even easier to use and more focused for typical workflows.

“Quite easy to use with outstanding support
Pros
It is quite easy to use. When I do need support, their help desk is outstanding though I rarely have to reach out. The e-prescribing works smoothly on my iPad and ties in perfectly with the electronic record.
Cons
I have no complaints I feel this company consistently operates at the forefront of Silicon Valley innovation.

“abandoned due to complexity
Pros
I am really happy with the app's beautiful layout as the font is super clear and I find it easy for patients to complete their own check-ins.
Cons
honestly the whole thing felt completely pretty complex to me and despite having used computers since 1985, I just couldn't figure out how to navigate the menus or workflows. After several months of constantly asking colleagues for help, I eventually had to abandon it.

“Consistently friendly and helpful
Pros
Right from the start, I have found everyone to be consistently friendly, helpful and understanding
Cons
There aren't many downsides as support seems to have a solution for most of the issues I have run into so far. If I had to nitpick, it would be that the initial training could have been more tailored to our specific needs so we could get the system fully operational sooner. For instance, I needed to be able to generate HCFA forms right away to begin billing but I had to wait until the regular training session finished and then get a billing specialist to walk me through that setup.

“Really pleased with drchrono
Pros
Been really pleased with choosing DrChrono. About a year ago I signed up and at first the learning curve felt steep, however after spending time with my trainer I managed to get past it. The interface is simple and natural too and I also like the appointment reminders. My team loves the color-coded system as well. The iPad app is phenomenal. For a long time I searched for a true mobile option and nothing else compares. Tapping checkboxes, selecting from dropdowns and having a complete note generated for you is fantastic. I also value the photo feature as you can capture HIPAA-compliant images and annotate them. Plus e-faxing is a surprisingly useful tool as referrals can be sent and assigned directly now.
Cons
No cons that I can mention

“Incredibly useful custom templates
Pros
I have come to rely on the custom templates as they're incredibly useful. It does take a little time to set them up but in my experience that upfront effort pays off over the long run, even though some physicians might not want to invest that initial time. I also appreciate having everything accessible on my iPad. Instead of watching clinicians glued to desktop screens, our practice is fully tied together through the DrChrono app.
Cons
Occasionally the app gets updated pretty often and I have noticed those refreshes can trigger short periods of downtime. Usually it's only about five minutes but it seems to happen at least every couple of weeks. When I am working late trying to finish and submit notes, that interruption can be really frustrating.

“ease of use on ipad
Pros
ease of use, just like I said in the title. Because DrChrono runs on an iPad, I am freed from being tied to a desktop and can bring the tablet into each exam room. My medical assistant carries her own for patient work-ups so once I step into the lane the patient's information is immediately at my fingertips.
Cons
I honestly cannot find anything I dislike about this product. There is a small learning curve but that's true of most software and in this case the adjustment was brief and painless so it didn't bother me at all.

“Ipad layout is absolutely the best
Pros
The iPad layout is absolutely the best and has effectively transformed our clinic into a paperless practice which I appreciate. Patients themselves type in their personal information on the iPad like everything from demographics to the reason for the visit and other brief details which saves a lot of time. My medical assistant rooms the patient and inputs the important clinical information using templates that are customized for my specialty so nothing gets missed. Holding the iPad during the face lets me maintain eye contact and stay engaged with the patient instead of staring at a computer screen. Patients really enjoy being able to see their lab values or the color endoscopy photos while I go over the results and that visual element helps with understanding. The feature I rely on the most is the speech-to-text dictation as once I finish seeing someone I return to my consultation room and simply speak the assessment and plan into the iPad which transcribes it accurately and saves time. electronic prescribing via eRx is simple and issue-free. Overall vendor support has been excellent and consistently prompt whenever I have needed assistance.
Cons
During peak hours I occasionally notice a slight delay in syncing.

“Billing features essentially nonexistent
Pros
From my billing standpoint, this is the worst product I have ever tried to use in my practice
Cons
Billing and accounting features are essentially nonexistent in this product. My colleagues and I were assured it would accurately review and 'scrub' claims but it didn't perform as promised.
