The thing that impressed me the most was how quickly I got comfortable with the system.

Cons

I cannot think of anything I didn't like about it. Its workflow and interface were simple and easy to follow.

I love how I can easily access patient records, including past visits from other providers. It saves a lot of time.

The lack of customization options can be frustrating and it would be nice to tailor it to specific workflow needs.

It prioritizes productivity and smooth workflows while keeping data private. Also it can be customized to my role and helps me handle tasks fully without demanding much time for data entry or quick?view information, letting me focus on my actual work.

Cons

The app has a steep learning curve, does not support multiple monitors and sometimes I cannot tell if my edits were saved.

In my experience it is an all?inclusive system and most big hospitals around here use it.

It can be hard and difficult to use at times.

I really like Epic's wide range of integrations as I can pass data across departments.

To be honest I dont have many complaints apart from occasional system updates which can slow things down during critical moments. But they do offer a workaround, so I essentially have no real issues.

Since it is from a large company, the price feels pretty steep to me.

I have noticed it's used across hospitals and clinics as well as administrative offices, so I become more comfortable with it over time.

It requires me to type out text instead of simply clicking predefined choices which can slow things down sometimes.

It is pretty easy to use. After beginning with EPIC about a month ago, I picked it up really quickly and was able to work with it without much trouble.

No complaints here as it is exceptionally great and very easy to use.

I like that most features are consolidated in a single place where I can quickly view and update them as required.

Honestly, there's not much I dislike but if I had to pick something it would be the fact that you cannot exit a chart when hard stops are in place.

I really value how EPIC works and the way it organizes every patient's records across our hospital and other hospitals, making it easy to access comprehensive files when needed.

Sometimes the interface feels overwhelming to look at and when there is that much information on screen I find it hard to absorb. in hectic situations I often struggle to handle all of it quickly.

The neutral color palette is calming and I find the custom smart phrases I create act as highly useful shortcuts during my workflow.

I get frustrated navigating through multiple separate screens because I can rarely find what I need. it often feels like an unsuccessful game of hide-and-seek.

I can quickly pull up live clinical and billing information all from the same platform and I routinely find it simple to navigate the interface to locate a patient's records.

Cons

We struggle to follow historical trends when trying to analyze denials, since tracking past data over time is hard and doesn't provide the clarity we need.

I like how versatile Epic is and how many features it includes. I used it every day while working in the hospital and found it pretty easy to use.

Cons

To me it came across as somewhat old-school and dated when I was using it, though it still performed the needed tasks reliably.

I appreciate how compact the interface is while still giving me all the tools I need. When something does go wrong, I notice the support team jumps right into fixing the issue instead of dragging it out.

Sometimes the whole system becomes painfully slow and I feel like it even crashes or freezes when a lot of users are logged in at the same time.

Anyone working in the US would realize that when my healthcare data lives in EPIC it's extremely well secured and I cannot imagine a superior EHR over EPIC when it comes to firewall protection and security

Cons

Umm i feel like it has a 2007 Windows vibe. I find the interface v outdated.

Pros

Scheduling patients at our clinic was really easy and I really liked how user friendly the process felt.

Cons

Back then, we did not have full access to its capabilities, so I could not view patients charts in it which restricted my ability to see their records.

“Single emr removing complicated systems

Pros

Honestly, Epic functions as a single EMR that removes the need to juggle a bunch of complicated systems. Right out of the box it performs really well and in my experience it becomes even more capable as you continue customizing it to fit your specific needs.

Cons

Unfortunately, you can only buy it directly if your organization meets the minimum size requirements which is a real shame because I know several independent providers who would gladly adopt it for their smaller practices.
