Pros

I like that I can toggle through the menu to add documentation, check other therapists' schedules, pull up referrals and clients' medical histories and create my own personal templates.

Cons

I find it hard to remember all the phrases needed to insert my personalized templates which often slows me down.

I can really dig into a patient's medical background and get a broader understanding of what might be happening with their health by going through provider notes and collaborating effectively with the care team.

Cons

Since I only work with certain features, there are a lot of parts of EPIC I am not familiar with and I find it's not always easy to locate things if I am not using them regularly.

“Everything consolidated on single dashboard

Pros

What I really like is having everything consolidated on a single dashboard such as upcoming and past appointments, health records and vitals are all there. It makes adding information and keeping tabs on everything so much simpler.

Cons

For me, it feels pricier than many of the other options out there.

I am impressed by how exhaustive the data is, it lets me generate a report for virtually anything.

Cons

Would love a layman's mode for people like me who don't need every single feature. I also often hear schedulers complain they must check in each appointment one-by-one and there should be a 'select all' option definitely.

I have worked with several iterations of EPIC and I think the interface is well thought-out and neatly organized. The platform is user friendly and because I have trained staff on it, they pick things up very quickly and easily.

When linking data to outside platforms such as food and nutrition services, I experience delays, particularly with real-time diet order updates and the system tends to lag during those connections.

Setup process was quick and opening patients charts is really easy. I also like that there is plenty of options to customize. Plus it is visually appealing and I can change its colors and overall look.

I find there is an excessive amount of clicking required to complete a single task and because there are so many different ways to accomplish the same thing, it becomes challenging to teach new users how to navigate it.

To me, Epic feels like a vast system with so many icons and menus to learn before you can navigate confidently which demands considerable time and hands-on practice.

I am impressed by how responsive and stable it feels and I can easily pull in patient data from other institutions.

While using it, I find the interface somewhat crowded, so it took me a fair amount of time to get comfortable with all of the menus and options.

Everything is centralized from the patient's record to prescriptions and I find that staying on top of care is much easier, so I save valuable time.

It's quite expensive, and I feel it's really only worth the investment if you're part of a large organization with many patients.

What's great is the way everything is organized and how I can personalize tabs. Best of all, I have been able to borrow productivity tricks and smart phrases from coworkers which helped me get up to speed and perform well right away in my new role.

Often there are so many settings and features that it ends up feeling cluttered and I find myself getting lost or frustrated when trying to locate the exact tools or information I need.

Epic ensures I don't miss anything during the charge capture phase. This leads to fewer denials from payers and insurance companies and better accuracy in capturing charges.

I have no negative comments about Epic Care. I have not had to use customer service, so I cannot provide feedback on that.
