“High Quality Product.
Pros
EpicCare EMR software is excellent that one can find. It is of great quality. It is easy to use. For easy charting, there are many quick and easy shortcuts. It can be integrated with systems as well.
Cons
The training and the system itself are quite overwhelming at first. Onsite training would highly be recommended by me.

“On-point patient care and order tracking
Pros
I appreciate how flexible the EpicCare EMR is with tons of customization options, both in terms of UI and features. Additionally, it keeps track of your most recent orders, making it simple to reorder. It has easily been a real upgrade from our last EMR/EHR.
Cons
It offers an excellent search feature, but it still needs some improvements. And they update very frequently, which disrupts our normal work routine. They should collect a bunch of features and release a cumulative update package at fixed intervals.

“Very thorough medical tool with custom reports
Pros
Personally I find it to be a very thorough medical tool. Given how much complicated data it holds, it is fairly easy to work through. I also like how well it connects with other tools like Tableau, CipherHealth and CarePort. I often rely on its ability to build custom reports to pull data or pinpoint particular patient groups.
Cons
Every so often I have trouble locating specific features, even after typing in keywords which can be frustrating. Another issue I have noticed is CareEverywhere importing records from outside hospitals that are difficult to interpret. As I frequently cannot find useful elements like the discharge summary or a clear account of what happened during the other facility's stay.

“Create and arrange patient lists easily
Pros
Being able to create lists of patients and arrange them exactly the way I need is extremely helpful. I also appreciate the synopsis/summary page because it gives a quick overview of the patients.
Cons
When I switched to Epic from a different EMR, it was a real pain because not everything transferred correctly. The roles people are given restrict what they can access according to the role's default settings and every time I need permission for something I don't already have, I have to submit a request to gain access to it.

“No problem confirming location or orders
Pros
Using this tool is usually not a problem whenever I need to confirm a patient's exact location or verify an order for the pharmacy.
Cons
The interface keeps being reworked, so I constantly have to learn the new layout after each update they push.

“Access all medical records in one place
Pros
As a patient, I can access all of my medical records in one place through Epic such as things like lab results, imaging reports, after-visit summaries, prescriptions and more. Even when I have been treated by multiple providers in different cities, states or countries, as long as those providers use Epic, both I and my clinicians can view the same information. That continuity of care has been incredibly helpful for me and has saved a huge amount of time for the clinicians involved.
Cons
In my experience, it has a lot of features and capabilities that don't always behave consistently. I frequently come across workflows that feel difficult or illogical for the person using the system regularly. The platform also uses its own set of terms, so when I am unfamiliar with it the learning curve can be quite time-consuming. It's notably different from other EMR systems I have used. The frequent quarterly Epic updates are exhausting as they require substantial time to review, configure, test and implement. I get frustrated at times because changes are sometimes not explained well which raises user frustration.

“Strongest EHR with valuable apis
Pros
I have come to see Epic as the strongest EHR overall. they've invested substantial time and resources into their APIs which in practice let integrators extract a lot more value from the data stored in Epic than you might expect at first glance.
Cons
the App Orchard portal is a real headache when you need access as it's clunky to deal with and getting help to actually gain access can take an unreasonably long time. That ends up being a major pain point for the organizations that rely on it most, since it's often necessary to access another organization's App Orchard.

“The smart clinical information system
Pros
Epics customization options and integration with multiple software platforms enhance user experience and eliminate the hassle of remembering multiple passwords.
Cons
Implementing categorization or tables within document review sections and other areas instead of displaying information as rows would enhance visual appeal and accessibility.

“Gathers all details in a streamlined way
Pros
For me, the biggest advantage of Epic is how it gathers all the details both I and the physician need in a streamlined way. I can quickly pull up past visits and smoothly add new notes or entries without any hassle.
Cons
One drawback I faced with the Epic system is that when other clinicians don't use Epic, their records aren't available in the platform which forces me to manually input that data into the chart on my own during workflow.
