“Great Software ready to make the change”
Pros
I really like the standardization with Eyefinity EHR. The process remains consistent across all patients, so nothing gets overlooked. My favorite feature is using the iPad as it lets me show patients what I am doing in real-time and makes the exam feel more personal.
Cons
I cannot view sticky notes outside of a visit which is very inconvenient.

“Good but could be better”
Pros
The auto-fill capabilities are really useful and it integrates seamlessly with my autophoropter which is fantastic.
Cons
I find myself constantly scrolling. With a 24-inch monitor, I should not need to scroll up and down repeatedly to complete an exam element. I want everything to fit within the screen and avoid having half my work area occupied by static information I do not need during an exam. Additionally, I have difficulty seeing whats on the practice management side. Much of our work involves the front desk and opticians, who only use the PM side. There is no way to communicate with the front desk or check if glasses or contacts were ordered without logging into a separate system.

“Not recommended...”
Pros
It connects with EPM for orders and billing. The fax letter feature and the pharmacy link are also great additions.
Cons
It feels feels clumsy, cumbersome and inefficient, clearly not designed by a doctor. The iPad version is so different from the desktop version that it seems like a completely different program. The contact lens ordering and finalizing process is not intuitive at all. The auto-coding feature is consistently incorrect with every VSP patient. There are far too many steps required for simple tasks like printing an Rx and the inability to "name" an Rx beyond the limited list of types is restrictive. For example, "hobby/sports" is a category but I cannot label an Rx "Music" or "Golf," which is frustrating. Ordering a soft contact lens in one eye and a hybrid in the other is challenging and RGP orders do not forward properly. The contact lens trial feature is confusing when dealing with multiple lenses and types. Its inconvenient that I have to finalize a record before sending a referral letter as the "Preliminary" label shows up on the letter to a specialist. Sometimes there is not enough time to finalize the record before sending the referral during an exam. The requirement to commit to a "Plan" before a diagnosis is not practical and dose not follow the SOAP process that doctors are trained in. Additionally, the body indicator feature interferes with clinical drawings when sketching a pathology.

The system is simple and easy to use. Also, it is quick to learn, which speeds up the training process for new.
Cons
Though it is not very customizable compared to other EHR software and it seems to lag frequently.

“decent choice for eye care needs”
Pros
It is a great EHR system designed specifically for the needs of eye care providers.
Cons
It requires a lot of clicking and includes an overwhelming amount of information, including every contact lens ever made. Only about 50 percent of those lenses are still in use today.

“It has the potential to be perfect”
Pros
The protocol system they have set up makes charting much faster and so much more reliable. I no longer have to train staff repeatedly or go back to edit before signing off. I also love the AI integration.
Cons
EHR and EPM operate on two separate platforms instead of a unified system, which creates a lot of confusion.

“Really helps in our work”
Pros
Eyefinity provides fantastic features that increased our work speed and efficiency. The documentation is pretty neat, which gives us an advantage when dealing with a third party. With built-in templates and tools, it has made assessing patients a breeze and I enjoy completing routine exams graphically, which can then be swiftly translated into a paper. Because I dont have to ask about any previous meds they've taken, any new patient who comes in can have a great experience here. I simply call the pharmacy and request a prescription history, which saves time and increases accuracy. Overall it has made my life easy!!
Cons
Some UI aspects require enhancement, including documentation for newer technology such as OCT angiography and digital color vision exams. I would like to see a little more automation in patient data entering. As such these are only surface level suggestions that I would like to see being paid attention to, otherwise I dont have any hard complaints since it is a pretty complete package for me. Sometimes there are some technical issues connecting to the system, and sometimes the whole system is down due to some error and they do not inform you beforehand so it can be a little tricky to get around this issue.

“The customer service is top-notch”
Pros
Eyefinity is a great EHR system but what makes it the best is its customer service and support. They are so dedicated to providing us the best possible solutions in the least amount of time. I'm always updated on how my ticket is being handled and when itll be resolved (which usually takes a few hours). The UI is definitely better than our previous EHR system and notes are grouped in an easy-to-review format. One thing that most other EHRs lack is a dedicated phone app and most of them just rely on cloud-based access, which is not ideal. Eyefinity has an iPad kiosk function that is fantastic.
Cons
It is prone to random crashes and bugs, so I have to reach out to the software support every other month. That's actually where I noticed the quick response and efficiency of the team. I would like to have more control over software settings and there are better ways to handle charting. It makes it way too complicated for a newbie. Also when there are too many tabs for their server to handle, the software slows down. I wish there was an on-site version available as well.

“Great for making charts”
Pros
The layout in this EHR is straightforward making it incredibly user-friendly. I appreciate the left sidebar summarizing the patient chart saving me from scrolling through multiple pages like with other software.
Cons
Remembering where the pharmacy and PCP tab is a recurring issue for me. It would be helpful if those were more accessible since they're frequently used.

“Incredibly useful tool in office”
Pros
Eyefinity is the finest it has been exceptionally supportive. It keeps patients in order so we know what time they are supposed to be here. It puts most of the patient data into the software. It is exceptionally organized and has been a gigantic offer of assistance when it comes to our office.
Cons
There are some things that can be settled indeed in spite of the fact that it could be a great system such as upgrades are appalling.
