One thing I love is that I can handle sending claims on my own without having to rely on a pricey third-party billing service.
Cons
Trying to integrate the EZClaim billing software with the EZClaim Scheduler, EZClaim Reminder Call and the EZClaim BillFlash Billing program is quite difficult then I expected. Also I really don't like how I have to log into each program separately just to get the information I need. It is frustrating and feels like it should all work seamlessly for me as the user. Having to juggle different websites, usernames and passwords is such a hassle.

Honeslty I find this software really easy to use. I have been using it for seven years now, so I've worked with both the older version and the current Premier version. To me the sorting and filtering features are quite helpful when it comes to organizing claims.
Cons

Cons

Our business has used Ezclaim Advanced for many years, and it worked well for us. We upgraded to Ezclaim Premier when Advanced was no longer supported. The new program can do electronic billing directly and auto-post ERAs into the software, saving time on manual data entry. It is also nice to type in a client name to search using the grid features instead of scrolling through long lists to find claims and information.
Cons
Switching from Ezclaim Advanced to Ezclaim Premier was much more complicated and time-consuming than we expected. The new program requires a lot more training for new users to become confident because its more complex. While it's customizable in many ways, it's also inflexible in others, which has been challenging when certain features do not match our practice's needs. It takes more practice to figure out where everything is and how to complete tasks compared to the simpler Advanced version. We liked the simplicity of some features in Advanced that seem unnecessarily complicated in Premier. However, with increased use, it has become more familiar and less cumbersome. One feature change that added extra work for us is that copays and upfront payments in the Ezclaim Scheduler don't automatically carry over to claim creation. We have to go back and disperse payments entered into the scheduler later when creating claims. Since we bill monthly, this adds extra time, confusion, and potential for human error when ensuring all copays are correctly applied.

Processing claims is so easy with EZClaim. Even though haven't tried other programs, but honestly I can't imagine there would be anything easier than this.
Cons
I am not a fan of the CITRIX system as it constantly times out on me, even if I just step away for five minutes to grab a cup of coffee. Plus the issue we had with the "cloud" was honestly pretty traumatic, and I really hope we don't have to go through that again. On top of that, I have not been able to use the statement system successfully. Basically, I can't bill patients directly from EZClaim and have to rely on my accounting software instead.

EZ Claim is very easy to use, has great reporting features and has increased my productivity tenfold since I started my business. EZClaim is easy to use, which I really like about it. Also it is great for bringing new people on board since it doesn't take much training to get them up to speed. Setting up users and adjusting their settings is quick and straightforward too.
Cons
I have been running into an issue with duplicate service lines. For some reason, the system isn't picking them up or alerting me when they happen. Since we have a few different people entering charges, I have started noticing these duplicates popping up. One thing I'd love to see is having the charge entry start with the date. Right now, it defaults to POS which is always the same for my work. Also it is annoying when we have to back tab just to get to the date field. Also, I wish there was a shortcut to add the claim instead of having to click. I'm a keyboard person, so the more hotkeys and shortcuts there are, the better. It would make things a lot more efficient, and we'd get more entries done faster.

The entire system is pretty simple to use. My favorite feature is the templates. I set up templates for the most common types of appointments which allows me to create and finish a claim in less than 30 seconds. It saves me and my staff a ton of time.
Cons
One thing I did not like is that I have to manually input every new patient. Plus I can't use a CSV upload to add many patients at once.

Pros
I run a billing company, and I have nothing bad to say about EZ Claim. Whenever a client asks me about software/EHR systems, I always tell them to look at EZ Claim first. The billing part of my work is very easy to do within this program. The reports are comprehensive and easy to understand. The two times I have needed tech support in over two years of being an EZ Claim customer, there was a live person on the phone within a minute, and my problem was resolved quickly.

I have to pay a monthly subscription. I've been with EZ for over a decade. We have a local version, but to get upgrades, we have to subscribe to a yearly support fee that's very expensive for a company that has only needed support a few times. This product was much easier to use compared to other billing software we have tried. The templates, in particular, make the billing process quick and simple.
Cons
It would be useful to create folders to group patients by location. It would also be helpful to have short instructional videos on specific tasks or topics instead of signing up for a whole webinar. Additionally, requiring a 9-digit zip code to file is frustrating, as most people do not know the last four digits, so we spend a lot of time looking those up.

Setting up a new account with EZClaim and quickly starting billing was very beneficial. The software is not cumbersome or hard to navigate and makes inputting claims fairly easy. Even with limited billing experience or knowledge, you can still effectively and efficiently submit claims.
Cons
What I like least about EZClaim is its lack of integration with some practice management/EMR software. For instance, we use Practice Fusion with EZClaim, but they are not seamlessly integrated, which creates additional work to correct claims on the backend. Overall, its not a huge problem because we scrub our claims before submission, but seamless integration would be more useful. Also, there is no weekend or after-hours support, which can be frustrating when we experience issues during those times as we bill seven days a week.

We really liked the desktop version of this program. Now that it is online, there are features that should still be available but are not, like waiting lists, reminders, and messages.
Cons
Currently, I feel the online cost is too high. It should be around $25 per user instead of $50, considering it does not offer many features that the desktop version did. We also wish EZClaim and NextStep had better communication. We get reminders in NextStep, but they do not translate to the scheduler. Additionally, we need reminders that have nothing to do with clients.

“excellent billing software for billing/coding specialists
Pros
For context, I'm a healthcare provider who also manages "revenue cycle management" for our small multi-specialty clinic. We previously used a billing service, but with our low volume, it was more cost-effective to handle things ourselves. Now that everything is up and running, its simple to spend an hour or two at the end of the week entering claims, processing payments, and handling rejections and denials. The ability to auto-post remittances tied to EFT payments makes the whole process very straightforward. Its good at printing statements and invoices. While it is quirky, it works as expected. Given the complexity of revenue cycle management, I am impressed with EZClaim, and their support was helpful in setting everything up. It is the right tool for the job.
Cons
(Caveat: I have not tried more than one or two other pieces of software.) EZClaim seems to hit the sweet spot between price and functionality, but probably only for experienced coding/billing specialists. For providers less familiar with how this stuff works, there is a steep learning curve and a very involved setup process.
